That's not fair to anyone and that's for me to say not someone else. I am just fine and people responding to someone elses post has nothing to do with me. The most important thing to remember is that all these parents love their child and it oftens hurts more to see your child feel rejection than to be rejected yourself. I once heard someone say having a child is like taking your heart and throwing it out in the middle of the street. It is so much easier to be kind to someone and can make all the difference in how someone feels. |

And this post is an example of why I have the utmost respect for you! |

AngelMom checking in!!! Heard from my daughter around noon (we're down south so there is an hour time difference!)…She was soooo fortunate to have received 3 invites for today…and all are houses that I KNOW she'd be happy at! She indicated that parties were scheduled for 1)noon 2) 1:20pm 3) 2:40pm if that helps anyone. I don't get a play-by-play account from her, which is good in that this is totally her experience. I know she is tired, though, and happy that the process is almost over (in a good way!).
I had to laugh about the 'attending' bid day comment too! I never realized that some schools (SEC in particular) actually have a 'mom's brunch' after Bid Day, etc! Tons of gifts bestowed on girls, etc too! my…..times have changed….! |

And as another poster said, there is "people" drama everywhere, unfortunately. My assistant's daughter is a sophomore in college and not in a sorority. She lives with 5 girls--non-Greek--and wow, the drama! I forget about what a big deal certain things are at that age. :) Again, good luck to her. |

1. Contacted the administrator to change the username 2. Wrote a signature to disclaim affiliation 3. Tried to change usernames but was not allowed to do so. 4. Posted that if DGIllinois wants me to stop posting and not update on the recruiting, I will stop posting as soon as the attacks stop. So your accusation that I refused to change names is patently false. Not only did I not refuse, I actively tried. Moreover, I honestly admitted that I have nothing to do with delta gamma, and the only reason people are supposedly offended is because of my honesty. If some people here are interested in what transpires with my daughter, I will post. if it offends DGIllinois to post with my current name, I won't. I have no option to change names until the administrator acts. |
Oh poor me...I can't make a new user name by reregistering and picking a name with no sorority name in it that won't offend anyone on GC. No that isn't completely possible and easy to do.

Haha we do everything a little over the top in the south and bid day is a big party. I didn't know things were different in other big schools until I found this site. |
