I see the ADPi badge pic on my original post is gone, but I have been swayed to the alternating sapphire/pearl white gold badge lol.
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...cE1Zucc47dC4fG It's swoon-worthy. ETA: Since this thread began, I've collected a few (seven ... ) more Alpha Phi badges. My own is a single diamond in 10K, but I also rescued 5 plain gold gloss, a gold with all pearl and a white gold all pearl. The two pearl ones have the centre pearl mounted differently. The yellow gold is from 1950 and the white gold is from 1966, and the white gold one is mounted out further while the 1950 one it's more flush with the rest. Not sure if there was a change in jeweler that would explain the differences. |

My hands-down favorites are the original Sigma Kappa badge with the snekky sigma and the old Phi Kappa fraternity letter badges with the pears and amethysts. Other than those, I don't know. I like them all. The mega-jeweled phi mu quatrefoils are attractive.
I'm actually really happy with my AOII badge tbh. |

Aww, sorry I got ur hopes up. ;) |
I love my badge with the letters and symbol but there are definitely several other sororities' badges that I like. I don't know how to insert photos so I'll provide links.
I've seen Pi Phi badges from years ago with fire opals and one I just saw online where the Pi Beta Phi is embossed on a white enamel with turquoise stones on the "bar" part of the badge. Scroll down and you'll see other vintage badges including one with fire opal and diamonds. Stunning. https://piphiblog.org/every-piece-of...tells-a-story/ I liked the Theta kite shape, rather appropriate since that the was the other house I preferenced. Here's a vintage badge I like: http://npcsororitybadges.blogspot.co...theta.html?m=0 |
^^^ My daughter has a rescued vintage Pi Phi badge with opals, but they're all in a row on the shaft. The Pi Phi badge picture you linked is a legacy badge -- the gems above and below represent the legacy and legacy maker. I love that idea!

I. Want. A. Legacy!

That's funny - I was just at Convention and found myself sitting next to one of the women on the Rituals, Traditions and Jewelry committee and asked her if the badge is going to be extended to 2021 since Carole is now going to be Chair for two more years. She didn't know. I haven't bought mine yet because of numerous issues people have had with the quality of the badge, I suppose I'll pull the trigger eventually. I also asked her if there would be a special badge for our upcoming 125th anniversary - she didn't say no! |
I forgot to pick a badge from another org. I would definitely love a Dyer Theta badge - so elegant. I also really like the diamond Chi Omega badge - skulls and owls, very cool!
