Eeh, sorry, I asked about this here two years ago to be sure, and it was told that Mary Harmon Bryant (nee' Black) was "YES!" an Alpha Gamma Delta at THE University of Alabama.

Good to know. I wasn't going to wait around all day, but I was trying to make sure I knew where it would be posted, just in case.

It could well be that they don't want to post the list until they know if all those given a bid accepted.

My Daughter is at Alabama now and I graduated from there many years ago. Bear Bryants wife Mary Harmon was indeed an Alpha Gam. Saban did go through rush. My neighbors daughter was in her rho chi group. Have not heard where she pledged yet.

I think a 24 hour wait is probably good in case groups can pick up some snaps, etc. Then everyone looks as if she was in the pledge class from the beginning.

I remember a cute picture in a book about the Bear with Mae Martin when she was a little girl placing a Houndstooth hat on a smiling Grandad's head when he was with (if I remember right) the New York Jets' owner at the time right when the Bear started wearing Houndstooth's! Before then, I think he wore Brown Fedora's on the sideline!

I think if there were snaps, they're already done. There are always girls on a list here and there who are no shows.

I think the REAL reason is the University Relations office doesn't come in until Monday morning!
