^^ lol

Are you suggesting that this season's unpredictability is predictable?

AlphaFrog 04-27-2009 08:06 PM

Well, it does seem like they've gone back to recruiting models/actors/has-been famous people, so I guess that would be par for the course.

I've liked her since the beginning, so clearly I'm missing something as well. Last week was the first week that I found her slightly annoying. Otherwise, she's a decent enough person in my book.

Part of me thinks that it isn't about the editing at all. A lot of people hated her from day 1. Remember, she was the one that everyone voted to go home before anything even happened. Then when she didn't have to walk to camp, and got a helicopter ride there, she spent her whole day building shelter... and no one cared. They still wanted to vote her out. I don't know why everyone hates her so much, but I like her. But even if she's in the final 3, there's probably no way in hell she'll ever win the million dollars.

Ok, now I am unboard with really not understanding what they see in Sierra for all of them to go negatively against her saying she is lying and a deceitful snake, etc... and the Debbie flip out really made no sense to me... glad to see Coach caught in a lie, its just so awesome to see someone promote honesty being caught in a lie... and Coach quoting the bible, too bad he got immunity, and too bad they didnt vote out debbie... that sucks...

Why did Erin vote for Stephen... Taj vote for Debbi while the other four for sierra... this makes me uncomfortable... is JT and Steph blowing off Taj and Erin for Debbi and Coach?... and why the hell would Erin go against her alliance like that...

Par for the course with him ;)

Debbie and Coach were being absolutely ridiculous. They asked Sierra to be in an alliance with them, she said no, she very nicely said to them, "I think you guys might be in trouble," and Debbie goes crazy and says she doesn't want to deal with Sierra today. Uh... did I miss something?

Like I said, JT and Stephen are running the game, and I'm incredibly surprised no one has seen this. They've determined who has gone home for the past 3 or 4 episodes at least, and no one is gunning for them (except Erin, I guess?)

Here's what I wonder with Erin though... what if she voted for Stephen, knowing he wasn't going home, but wanting it to appear to Coach and Debbie that she was still on their side.. only to turn against them later?

It was sad to see Sierra go home (as I always hate to see Coach happy), but I figure it was only a matter of time anyway.

Well, not totally. Yeah, he said he was quoting Stephen when he was stoned, but he actually quoted Jesus from the cross ("Father, forgive them, for the know not what they do"). What Stephen said was ""Lord, do not hold this sin against them." Same sentiment as "Father, forgive them."

But yeah, I laughed at him too.

The only problem with leaving Debbie and Coach still on the island is that they have additiional days to scheme and maneuver. It would have been the smart thing to vote of whichever one of them didn't get immunity, in this case, Debbie. Sierra may have been irritating as heck, but she wasn't a "player" in terms of having power to persuade, as evidenced by the vote last night. Even though she outed Coach for the liar that he is, she still got the boot!

Reality News Online has a really interesting analysis of the strategy in last night's episode.

Short version of what they think was going on: It was best to get rid of the wildcard (Sierra) last night and not alienate Debbie and Coach for jury purposes. Taj's vote for Debbie and Erinn's vote for Stephen were planned to lull Debbie and Coach into thinking that they are, or could be, aligned with Stephen and JT.

That actually makes some sense... but why was Erin crying when they showed her vote for Stephen... or did i make that up in my head

I didn't notice any crying, but maybe she was.

SydneyK 05-01-2009 03:37 PM

Could any of you make out what Erinn had written on the parchment (other than Stephen's name)?

srmom 05-01-2009 03:40 PM

She wrote "I promise I won't do this again" or something to that affect.

My 17 year old (with the good eyes) read it for my husband and me ;)
