Yay! So glad to read you're home!!!!
I've been fighting the bronchitis from hell. Thought I was dying by Wednesday, ended up on a breathing machine every four hours starting yesterday. Thankful it's not much worse but between weather closing and this hitting me have missed a full week's paycheck. With DH still unemployed the panic is hitting epic levels but hopefully as I'm feeling well enough to get on my laptop I'm starting to get better! |
That's great news Lynn. I hope your husband got everything unpacked!

Dee, it didnt' happen, lol.
Oh well. So thankful for him no matter what. Now to find my lost taste buds.:p |
I haven't posted this yet. Apparently I'm in some kind of strange denial because I keep "forgetting" and when I remember, it's like a total jolt to my system. My Uncle, who is my Godfather, has been diagnosed with kidney cancer and lung cancer. They are still doing tests to determine whether it is one cancer that metastasized or two different cancers. The latter is actually the preferable situation because the kidney alone is operable and they may be able to treat the lung with chemo.

Prayers for my husband and me would be greatly appreciated. We are awaiting the results of a biopsy I had done last week. If we get good results, then we can go ahead and meet with the fertility specialist. I'm trying not to be a nervous wreck until Tuesday.

Praying for both of you.

The boy has been deployed to Afghanistan for the next 9 months. I would appreciate prayers/good wishes for his safety and that of his platoon.
My father is also having a surgical procedure to replace the battery on this pacemaker/defibrillator unit this Friday. He is elderly, and I would appreciate any prayers/good wishes for him. |
Prayers for all...

There is a family that has been attending my church back home for years. The majority of the kids are adopted and they are the sweetest people that I have gotten to know there. The mother had kidney cancer about 5 years ago and went into remission. Just last week they found it again and that it spread a little. Although her prognosis looks okay I just really hope it is able to be beaten during round two!

Thank you all for your prayers/wishes for my father. His surgery went well, he is at home now recovering. Feeling super itchy and sore, but no pain.

Gives Me Hope
Threads like this being posted in a place like this give me hope for this country. God bless you all who have participated in praying for anyone who needed it on here or been supportive on here. I think that is awesome.

Since all of you GCers have postive vibes, I hoping for a small prayer. I need strength to stay postive.
2014 did not started well. I am back in Austin and thankful I landed a job. My husband is still in Northeast Ohio dealing with the cold and the house that is not holding to the bad weather. We were in a car accident during the January ice storm in Austin and I hurt my ribs. The ribs are healing slowly and I am staying postive. The biggest heartbrake is my father-in-law has been diagnosed with ALS. He has two years. My uncle passed away last August with the same disease which is absolutely awful. I need to be strong for my husband. Thank you for listening. |
Need some prayers/happy thoughts for a couple of medical tests that I'm going to be undergoing for a couple of different possible diagnoses over the next few weeks. Neither are imminently life threatening, but either one (and certainly both) could be permanently life altering. So please send some good juju my way.
