Yes! Otter is correct.

Wanna ask the next one?

NutBrnHair 10-30-2007 12:10 PM

Here's another...

D!!!

NutBrnHair 10-30-2007 12:43 PM

Correct -- Frances Mayes is a well-known author (Under the Tuscan Sun) and she's a Chi Omega, but she's never edited The Eleusis.

Here's a good one!

Which role played by actress Diane Keaton was based on the life of a woman who was a charter member of Chi Omega's Psi Alpha Chapter at the University of Oregon?

a.) Kay Adams in "The Godfather"
b.) Annie Hall in "Annie Hall"
c.) Louise Bryant in "Reds"
d.) Theresa Jones in "Looking for Mr. Goodbar"

xowest 11-27-2007 02:38 PM

I believe the answer is "C"- Louise Bryant in "Reds".

I am embarrassed to admit that I am a Psi Alpha alum and had to do some internet research to figure this one out. For anyone who knows anything about the home of the U of O, Eugene, OR, this trivia answer is too perfect for words.

Right answer, xowest!

As a former European/World History teacher (and a big fan of the movie, "Reds") I learned a good deal about Louise Bryant & John Reed and their lives during the Russian Revolution. I was shocked, but very pleased, to discover she was a charter member of Chi Omega's Psi Alpha Chapter. Ms. Bryant was a journalist, a feminist and quite the Bohemian! (Not your "typical sorority girl!")
