Lots of prayers being sent!

Tomorrow will mark 6 months since my mother died... I pray my dad can get through this day ok. :(

Please say a prayer for my great-aunt Mary who lives in Florida. I've adored her my whole life, she's always been so vivacious and ALIVE (and hilarious). I only fairly recently discovered she is an Alpha Chi Omega. She is in hospice, and not expected to make it through the holidays. My mom, aunt, and grandma (her younger sister) went down there to see her 2 weekends ago to basically say good-bye. I didn't realize they were going (it was spur of the moment), and she sent me a text when she got there. It was so weird, because at the moment I got that text, I was sitting with my oldest daughter reading an old copy of Charlotte's Web. The same copy Aunt Mary gave to my mom for her 8th birthday. Made my mom cry.

Another Alpha Gam who is a regular poster on GC has been diagnosed with leukemia- I won't out her if she doesn't want to out herself, but please keep her in your prayers.

Thanks, Dee.

Yep it is me.

I was holding ou for a while until my cousin posted of Fb so I figured I may as we'll let everyone else know.

I am supposed to start chemo today or tomorrow for 7 days. Then they will test me again.

It was a shock, especially since we closed on our house Friday. One way to get out of moving.

Oh :( Hope everything goes well! Bring a good book, or some needlework, or a laptop or tablet if there is Wi-Fi - you will be there a while. And when you get home, you may feel like going straight to bed - if so, go, even if it's 2pm.

Love you sis. Didn't know if you wanted it posted publicly, but wanted the prayer crew to fire up those prayers. Wish I was closer so I could physically help with something. If you need nook books, let me know, I can lend some :)

Best of luck, and here's some advice (although I'm sure you're getting PLENTY of that). #1 appoint someone to be your advocate. You have too much going on in your life to be expected to ask all the right questions or listen/take effective notes when your questions do get answered. #2 there are dietary solutions out there. Now, I'm not in the camp that says try diet INSTEAD of chemo, but why not try both? I'm also a big advocate of massage, for relaxation if for nothing else, and why not indulge a little?

I'm pulling for you!

Praying HARD, AGDLynn!

My 10 year old is suicidally depressed. Prayers appreciated. I have struggled with depression and am just heartbroken . . . it's the worst.

AGDee 12-10-2013 11:16 PM

Lifting your child up in prayer, SWTX.

IndianaSigKap 12-10-2013 11:49 PM
