lillady, you are correct -- Ina May was an established artist, studying in New York and Paris and illustrated her husband's book, The Veilled Empress; however, Allie also illustrared a book about grasshoppers for a professor at UA!

What event did Chi Omega Founder Jobelle Holcombe refer to as "our first rush and pledge party?"

a.) When Jobelle approached Allie Simmonds, a senior, in a stairwell landing in Old Main and asked her to be a member.

b.) In Spring 1896, when an organized gathering led to Psi Chapter's first pledge class.
