my friend just called me and her nephew got his first choice after a very rough and hard cut rush-- I am so happy for him and can not wait to hear how the girls did!!!!
|
Are any of the (alleged) live cams on campus positioned to show the girls getting their bids? I say alleged because the Union camera is still showing that it is night time. The view on the Food Court camera might be live, but the time stamp is from August.

Does anyone know what quota is at Ole Miss?
|
I hate it that some of the live cams are down....I am sure there will be YouTube postings afterwards, but can't find anything live. My niece is out there somewhere, I am so excited and so far away. Aaarrgh.

Quota
I heard the group I have a lot of friends in took 119 - and I'm guessing that quota must be around that number.
The boys had some hard cuts I heard. My sons' fraternity took 101 of 107 bids they gave . That's a huge pledge class. Good look learning all those names and hometowns, bless em. Holding my breath til 3:15, best of luck to PNMs, actives, and moms. |
Some are saying that if your third choice ranked you higher than your first or second you will end up with third choice.
Can someone help me and my very nervous pnm? |

Just take a breath. Your helicopter blades are starting to rev and you don't want to go there. Good luck to the daughters and actives! |

Quota was 117. All groups matched quota and most got additions.

Pledge list
I have a friend going through sorority recruitment at Ole Miss. Where and when can I find a list of pledges?

Every house on this campus is amazing and rush is very competitive. Your daughter is lucky to have a bid in the first place. Any bid means she has had a successful recruitment. Like some PPs have said, if she can't make the best of whatever she ends up with, that is a reflection on your daughter. And if you can't be okay with whatever happens as long as your daughter is in an environment where she will be able to be happy and grow (which is any sorority at Ole Miss)...well then I have no words. Stop obsessing and trust the process. Your daughter will end up where she is meant to, and that's all anyone can hope for. |
