I don't think she really LOVED either one of them. The only one that she seemed to have that "animal attraction" to was Graham. The whole - "we were friends first, and then it turned to love" - over, what? 3 months, tops, seems like a bunch of hooey to me. She wanted to "be in love", she wanted to "be engaged", well, now she is...on national TV!!!

I give it 2 months 3 on the outside.

After watching Shayne and British Boy (what's his name), I give them negative 2 months. I think they are DONE - it didn't even seem like they liked each other any more. Doesn't matter what they said, body language said it all. She nearly sneered when he spoke or touched her....

I don't buy that either. At the "After the final rose" show she gave him the same BS she told the other guys:

"Oh my heart is breaking and you have no idea what this feels like!"
"And I didn't know it wouldn't be you until after the one on one dates"

She could have at least used a couple of new lines.

AGDee 07-09-2008 09:58 PM

And, when Jesse proposed and she said "I love you" she also said "I've waited so long to say that to you" If she'd been holding back on saying that for *so long*, then she knew a while ago, right?

I watched it again last night on my DVR since my cable, internet and phone all went out <grrr>. After Deanna's dad told her that Jason had asked for his permission to marry her, then she asked him if Jesse had asked too after his day with her family. She seemed really upset that he had not. Then the next day, he just happens to do it? It doesn't seem like something he would think of on his own and part of me wondered if she had told him that he should. That's just speculation on my part, but she really seemed to want to prop him up to her family.

I thought the same thing re: the I love you and the permission thing. When I watched it, I noticed how Jason had asked her father on day one. I know that Jesse was nervous and all when meeting the immediate family, but I figured he would have asked if he knew that's what it took to win DeAnna's heart. And when DeAnna found out that he hadn't asked... and then he just so happens to ask the next day?? Yeah, I'm not buying he did it on his own.

At at the "After the Final Rose" show, DeAnna's papa said that he knew that she had already picked Jesse. He knew based on the home visits... so I'm not buying her BS, either. And she is a big B*...

*on soapbox* I know that Jason joined the show on his own volition, but I think that she had a hand in keeping him and his son separated. Furthermore, she shouldn't have led Jason on for that long OR his son, for that matter. Once she went to Seattle, it made the situation very real for Jason and Ty. If she were a smart and compassionate woman, she would have cut him loose before then. I know that Jeremy had his parents die, and she said that she didn't want to lead him on anymore knowing his pain. But what of Jason's pain? And Ty's pain? They both had a woman walk out on them. And she basically brought that pain to the surface again by keeping him until the last minute. *off soapbox now*

nittanyalum 07-11-2008 11:04 AM

I'm fully convinced now that Jason dodged a bullet, she irritates me more every time I see her or read anything by/about her now. I think she did find her "soulmate" in Jesse, I think she's much more of a flake IRL than she seemed to be at first on the show. In fact, now I feel a little sorry for Jesse. http://www.deannaandjesse.com/

nittanyalum 07-25-2008 07:59 PM

Awwww, Jason ... he's just so durn cute. "Sleepless in Kirkland", lol. http://tvwatch.people.com/2008/07/25...orettes-jason/

I agree, and maybe I have a dirty mind, but I found this photo to be kind of gross and not cute at all, for a "we're so in LOOOOOOOVE, just look at how adorable we can be" sort of website":

breathesgelatin 07-28-2008 02:19 AM

CutiePie2000, ITA about the nasty that is that picture. IMO The Bachelorette tried to "class up" Deanna as a southern belle, but in reality she's not at all that. Reminds me of the NASCAR date when Sean told her they had so much in common because of their redneck pasts and she BRISTLED. heh.

There's a lot of buzz about Jason being the next Bachelor, to the point of Chris Harrison going on the record about it:

http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/c...helor-7466.php

Please no. I don't want Ty to be exploited. I thought Jeremy was an automaton for most of the season, but I'd rather see him as the Bachelor than Jason. Of course my first choice would be someone new.

The link above further confirms that the Bachelor will NOT be airing in the fall but rather at midseason. Which to me implies that they are not currently filming anything or about to - they'd need to be starting soon or have already started for a fall premiere. Which makes me seriously doubt the Arkansas rumor EW brought up.

Also, ABC has a poll where you can vote about who should be the next Bach (choices are Jason, Jeremy, or someone else):

darn it, not Graham?! :(

LucyKKG 07-29-2008 03:17 AM

Ugh, I hate the idea of having that poor kid in the show. Ick!

Here's why Graham won't be appearing as the next Bachelor:

Geez... please let's NOT pull Jason and Ty into another ABC saga.

Same with Jeremy.

I've OVER the whole "jilted contestant" Bachelor/ette shows.

I think if it wasn't one of the final 2 or 3 in a season, it'd be OK. Like someone who was obviously a good catch, but just wasn't right for that Bachelor/Bachelorette.

ZTABullwinkle 08-20-2008 07:08 PM

Jason is the next Bachelor, according to ET.

Meet the next Bachelor

Not surprising. They'll totally reel in all the people who watched the Bachelorette (me included!) so that's a smart move on ABC's part.

I don't know about this! A lot of people said they'd like to see someone new at the forums I read - here and TWOP. Maybe those forums aren't representative of the general population, though.

Aw, yay, Jason. Easily the cutest guy that's ever been on the show. I hope he actually meets a nice girl and step-mommy for his boy.

texas*princess 08-21-2008 12:36 AM

Aww I know I'm over the whole "jilted contestant" thing, but I hope he finds someone great.

They had auditions for The Bachelor contestants a couple of weeks ago... I considered going, but chose to go for some happy hour drinks instead :p

One of my close friends almost made the final cut for The Bachelor a couple of seasons ago. I dont remember the guys name, but he was a doctor in the military or something? Anyway, my friend is an ER Nurse and is convinced the occupational thing is why she didnt get chosen (e.g. that would have too much in common?)

She got over it though, and is now happily married :p

breathesgelatin 08-21-2008 01:34 AM

Breaking news:

I just found out that sweet Chicago Fred from Deanna's season and Noelle from Matt's season are dating.

Pictures here:

I hope they make it! They are some of my favorite contestants! Too cute.

Ok, they are completely adorable. Kind makes me want to gag that they are so cute--but still sweet.

Chris Harrison mentioned in an interview that they might film in Seattle because of Ty, which I think they should totally do. That'd be a good way to insert reality for the contestants, I think, not only because of Ty but also because a lot of people can't handle the spring/fall/winters here.

I know right? My thoughts exactly.

Actually if they make it they will be one of my favorite couples by far. I hope they do an update or special on them if they continue dating.

Well, I think it's becoming more and more of a possibility that this wedding will be televised.

DeAnna is greek, and from the south...she didn't have a minister to marry them? Maybe that's offbase and stereotypical, but this seems like a mockery to me.

DeAnna is probably Greek Orthodox. I'm not sure if there are many Greek Orthodox churches in the South.

I am from upstate South Carolina and we have a very large and active Greek Orthodox community. There's even a Greek Orthodox monastery nearby.

Way to stereotype based on a last name and preconceptions of a region.

Like LoveMyKeyKKG's post suggest, there are Greek communities and Greek Orthodox (or other Orthodox) churches throughout the South. Tarpon Springs, Florida, has the highest percentage of Greeks of any city in America ((over 10%).

There are also many people of Greek heritage in small towns without GO churches whose families became Catholic, Episcopalian or something else generations ago.

Ya think?? Fame whores - All of them!!

DeAnna and her ski bum give me the creeps. Add in stilted speaker Andy, and the wedding episode will be a train wreck that is absolutely Must See TV!

What is wrong with me?

edited to add - there's a huge Greek Orthadox church in Houston. They sponsor a fabulous Greek Festival that is a must visit if only for the food stalls!!!

breathesgelatin 09-06-2008 12:33 AM

Re: Greek Orthodox churches, they are definitely around in the south! Of course, if you live in a rural area it might be hard to access one. My friend from HS was Greek Orthodox and his family had to drive into Winston-Salem for church - about a 50 minute drive (we lived in a farm community). But there are definitely Orthodox churches in the cities - and Deanna is from the Atlanta suburbs, no?

They are totally trying to outdo Trista and Ryan with the insane reality wedding.

I also saw someone post elsewhere that Charlie and Sarah got back together, but I can't find any links to substantiate that. Supposedly the article was in US. Kudos to anyone who can find it. It's not on the web version of their site as far as I can tell.

And Travis is appearing on The Doctors, but I guess that's old news.

Someone needs to tell that girl life ain't a fairy tale... cause that's what she keeps looking for.

Thank god Jason dodged that bullet. I really hope he meets a nice, sane girl on his show.
