I have both ears pierced three times, and I have my cartilege pierced in my left ear, but not at the top -- a little bit lower.

I had my tongue pierced during my last year in college, but I took it out on June 30, 2002, the night before I started my first "real" job. :( I still miss my tongue ring. A LOT.

I was just telling Mr. AXiD670 last night that it's time to get pierced again. I used to get pierced for my bday -- I got my first set of holes for my 12th bday, my 2nd set on a band trip when I was 16, my 3rd set on another band trip for my 17th bday, my cartilege for my 19th bday, my tattoo for my 20th bday, and my tongue for my 22nd bday.

My 26th bday is tomorrow -- any suggestions? :)

I have my ears stretched relatively large (6 ga), but due to the jewelery I wear, no one can really tell, they still look "professional". I wear pyrex (glass) plugs with color fronts that just look like earings.

For nose piercings, they make clear quartz plugs thtat do a pretty good job of hiding them. Let's see if I can come up with a link... Clearn retainer

Tounge piercings can be hard to hide, they make flesh colored balls to mask them, but they can still be seen. It's important to tell your piercer as well if you need to hide them ASAP, because they'll probably want to pierce you with the jewelry you'll be masking with (i.e. the flesh colored nose screws) because changing jewelry and fiddling with your piercing when it is new is only going to make it angry.

I really want to get a new piercing, but I don't know where to get it! I'm sort of limited due to the fact that I'll start my student teaching in January. I've already got my belly button and my ears (one hole in each) done...maybe I'll just add some more holes to my ears. I don't know. :confused:

I finally took my navel bar out becuase it was starting to get in the way of my growing baby belly.

I doubt I'll get it redone because I probably won't ever have the body again to show it off and I think I'm getting a little old for it. I think being the mom with the cool tattoos will have to suffice.

I have "unique" ear piercings... I have my rook and tragus pierced - no one has ever said a thing to me.. plus, mine are barely visible.

I did student teaching and now a full-time position with my tongue peirced.. and there are tons of teachers I see with their noses pierced.

As long as the ring or stud is modest I don't think it is a huge deal.

Really? That's encouraging...maybe I'll be able to get something pierced after all. I was thinking if nothing else, maybe some "unique" ear piercings, like you said.

I was just sort of wary because a bunch of my friends have had trouble with this in the past. Granted, none of them are teachers, but they work in restaurants, for crying out loud. One of my friends just let his ear piercings grow back in because Applebee's wouldn't let him keep them in while he was at work, and when my boyfriend bartended at this Italian place they wouldn't let him wear his tongue ring. So I thought it best to err on the safe side...
