Since you have claimed victory over that position, it is yours. GOD granted us dominion over the entire world and everything in it, so, claim ownership of that position. GOD knows your heart, and He knows if it will be a grand fit for you. If this is deemed the case by Him, you might as well go out and get that celebratory bottle of Dom...

Thanks!! :D

Please pray for a family friend, Roy. He was recently diagnosed with cancer. When the doctors went in to remove it, they discovered that it spread and there is nothing that they can do. If they removed it during the operation, he would have died on the table, so they left it alone.

luv4denzel 03-15-2007 06:42 PM

I will be praying for your friend. Be sure to tell him to hold on and trust God. HE is always in control. God Bless.

Prayers and support...

NuQueen,

We are stretching out our hands in love, support and prayer for Roy. Roy needs to be reminded that, The Grand Physician may not be calling him home just yet, and that the 'good fight' is in order. We are asking that GOD place His eternally protective and girding arms around Roy, granting him providence. These earthly doctors may not have been able to take it out, but truly, Dr. GOD can.

Sorors and Friends,

first let me say i love this page. it's such a blessing. i'm sending out prayers to those in need.
i'm here to ask you all to pray for my fiance' David McMullen's mother, Mary McMullen. she passed away on March 13th after a lengthy battle with cancer. he and his family are trying to be brave at such a tough time and any kind thoughts sent their way would be most appreciated.
thank you for reading.

SummerChild 03-16-2007 06:54 PM

Soror, I will pray for him, his family and you also, as one of his main supporters. I went through a similar situation as the main supporter for someone who lost his mother last summer so feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss. It can be very taxing on you as a supporter while also grieving yourself as well so that's why I said that I would pray for you as well.

WenD08,

You, your future husband and your soon to be in-law family should rejoice in knowing that your mother-in-law did not fall victim to cancer, but rather, she gained glory. Many of us here on GC can understand the collage of emotions that you all are feeling right now. I too lost my mom to cancer last March, March 14th to be exact, and there is no sense of pain, like that , than having to release your parent(s), or any loved one for that matter, to Heaven.
As you already know to be, you coupled with his belief and faith, are David's crutch. Remind him that it is now his job to insure that moms didn't go without having left behind an incredible legacy for him and the rest of the family to hold high. Continue to strengthen him, especially during what can sometimes be moments when the dark cold recesses of the emotional maze that he's traversing, seems unsurmountable. You all are to find peace in Mother Mary's homegoing. She is surrounded by the only true eternal love that last, and she is now healed.

Soror Summerchild and 7thSonofOsiris,

thank you all for your lovely words. i'm about to cry myself! i feel really good in knowing that i knew her and that she was happy for us. also knowing that after her struggle that she is at peace helps a lot.

SummerChild 03-19-2007 04:46 PM

Soror WenD08, try to take comfort in that. Also, you will be able to tell your children (if you decide to have children) about their Grandmother from a firsthand perspective. I will continue to pray for you and your fiance and the family.

I will definitely keep you lifted. My father also went through this, and like you I am a daddy's girl. I understand about the set off of other illnesses and constant trips to the hospital. His kidney failure was actually due to his diabetes, so it was trying for us. You be sure to stay strong for him and I will keep you lifted.

My prayers go out to everyone. God remains in control.

luv4denzel 03-21-2007 07:59 PM

I'm a Daddy's Girl myself, so I can relate to how you feel about your father. I am praying for you and your father. Hold to God's unchanging hand.

Thanks for all that prayed for Roy. He went home to the Father this morning.

I have a major issue with this but I'll address it an open letter.

I have to have a biopsy next week. I know it is a precaution, but I'm just a little scared. The only thing I can do is waht my doctor tells me to and pray about it.

Oohsofly, you're right.
Soror Rev, lemme sing to you a little ditty that I learned years ago. . .
*ahem*

I am healed, I am whole
From the top of my head to my soles to the tips of my toes!
I Peter 2:24 says I was
And if I was, then I am!
I am healed, I am whole!
From the top of my head to my soles to the tips of my toes!

We're believing God for a good report!!! We shall believe the report of the Lord!

1908Revelations 04-12-2007 08:41 PM

Thanks 7thSon and Soror btb87!

Like I told 7th in a PM I feel kind of foolish for freaking out about a biopsy, since people have shared thier experience with them. I guess it was the fact that something (heck anything) is abnormal, especially when on all other occasions everything is normal. That is where my maturity lacks, whereas I tend to be reactive instead of calmly thinking about things.

I'mJustMe 04-13-2007 01:21 PM

I want to thank everyone for their prayers for my father. He is home now and is recovering. The power of prayer is too great to be put into words. I thank God for healing. To 1908Revelations... I am praying that all goes well next week. All of you are in my prayers.

I'mJustMe,

I was wondering why today has been so incredibly beautiful. The Sun is blazing, I'm sitting on the porch writing, and a dog just chased the mail lady down the street a little bit, providing me with some comedy. It has been a beautiful day because you had some amazing news to share with the family. Good deal on Dad being back home. Now that's what I'm talking 'bout. :)

1908Revs,

Your turn Sis, to bring on the amazing news and maybe on the day that you bring your amazing news, that mail lady will provide a little pepper spray for that little mean assed dog. :D

I hope that everything went well with your procedure Soror. Take care... don't go worrying prematurely :) Give it up to Him and he'll take care of the rest! God Bless.

Yes, I agree 100%. We need to keep these families and victims in our prayers.

ChanelLover 04-20-2007 08:05 AM

My chapter went to a Take Back the Night Rally last night, and I really didn't expect it to affect me the way it did. There were t-shirts hanging up with the ages and gender of rape victims, and there were two that stuck out to me, there was one with a little girl saying No Daddy No, and there was another saying a 17 month old male had been raped. I just can't understand how someone could be so evil, as to do something like this. I called my mother afterward and she told me that it has been foretold. So I starting thinking that I need to get myself in order, because you never know. Please just keep these rape and sexual assault victims in your prayers, I know that it means a lot to them.

*Sorry it's so long, I just had to get this off my chest.*

Please Pray for my granny

I never post in this thread but today I must.

I found out this morning that my grandmother has a mass on her breast that will be biopsied on Monday. I've been emotional all morning but comforted by prayers and hugs from friends at work.

Thank you.

Prayers up for GrannyCT4.

Romans 5:3-4 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience, and patience, experience; and experience, hope.

Stay encouraged, Sistagreek!

Thanks y'all for the prayers!! Today has been an extremely emotional day, but I SPEAK LIFE -- she's going to live and not die.

AKA_Monet 04-28-2007 03:12 AM

Now, I'm standing in the need of prayer...

Y'all I have hella health information to help anyone understand what is going on and why it is happening. God has blessed some Professional Healthcare Providers to actually HEAL...

Please pray for ease for my oldest aunt in Florida. She let her diabetes get out of control, which caused her to have a stroke, undergoing full dialysis, complete blindness and now has had her leg cut off due to gangrene.

The best thing my family can hope for is to minimize her pain. But my grandmother (my soror, too) who gave birth to my oldest aunt really needs prayer more than anything else.

Two of my close college friends (who are married to one another) lost their 2-year old babygirl early Sunday morning. She was admitted to the hospital with the belief that she had a brain tumor that could be removed. However, after further testing before the surgery, she was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer, which had already spread throughout her body. She passed away the day after the cancer was found.:( Please keep them in your prayers.
