The media is killing me. Any personal injury/medical malpractice lawyer can tell you that physicians get sued for malpractice all the time. The "fact" that this doctor was sued twice for malpractice really is not extraordinary.

This is true. The comments from the readers of TMZ whenever there is a story on a black person are disgusting! It is so easy for people to say hateful things via the internet.

jitterbug13 11-18-2007 12:37 PM

I just happen to be looking at People Online and saw this.

http://www.people.com/people/article...161303,00.html

Kanye, I love you, but I think this is just way too soon. (((hugs)))

AKA2D '91 11-18-2007 12:50 PM

Gooodness!

I'm wondering if he "can't" get out of those European dates.

We all grieve differently, but If I were in HIS shoes, I'd be reclusive, sedated, all of that behind MY mother. :( :( Just thinking about it makes me shiver. :(

Little32 11-18-2007 01:12 PM

Given his persona and personality, I am not surprised. He's got this bravado thing going on. He probably thought that he was ok and probably went to the performance as a way to get back into things and move forward. Grief hits you like that, you think that the worst of it has passed, but it hasn't. Poor kid (I guess not kid because we are around the same age) probably doesn't have any idea what he is doing.

I agree....working in mental health, I see alot of men especially handle grief this way...they try to get back into their routine as quickly as possible, trying to reestablish normality, but he's going have to face it at some point...my heart truly goes out to him.....:(

jitterbug13 11-18-2007 07:54 PM

I was personally suprised. I though he would be in hiding for a hot minute. But I can understand him trying to move on, but I know it will be hard without his mom.

Also, I'm suprised he did that song, considering that he rarely does it live.

jojapeach 11-18-2007 09:33 PM

Completely agree about the lack of respect and courtesy from the media

Oh Kanye... I'm surprised that he did the concert, but everyone handles grief differently. Maybe he's never been hit with grief of this magnitude. I know I can't imagine how I would carry on just a week later if I lost either of my parents. It was just too soon.

I'm glad that everyone was so supportive at the concert. Now, I'm just waiting for photos to be posted because I'm sure there's someone willing to make a dime off their footage.

pinkies up 11-19-2007 12:02 AM

I know how he feels. I tried to go back to work three days after my dad died. Needless to say I spent most of the day in tears and in a state of confusion. Wow-I just wish folks would leave the man alone; let him grieve.

Little32 11-19-2007 12:07 AM

Me too Soror, two days after my grandfather passed. It hadn't really hit me, but it hit me hard that day at work.

There's a Youtube clip on EURweb.com; when he started to break down, I started crying.:(

This just made me tear up. I went back to work too soon after my mother's death as well. That's just so sad.

I'm surprised too. I can't even take that song going through my head right now. I can't imagine how he felt attempting to do that song.

Interesting article about the death of Redskins Sean Taylor.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7...PHCP&GT1=10637

Conskeeted7 11-29-2007 11:35 AM

That article offered a really interesting perspective on crime in the Black community.

Little32 11-29-2007 11:58 AM

I thought it was telling that about an hour after the author posted the article, it was front page news, so to speak, on MSN. I think his use of the analogy Black KKK was primarily for shock value and to garner attention--which it did (why would he use KKK anyway, even if the shooter was black, it is safe to say that his agenda did not mesh with that of the KKK). But there is a problem with the way that Black criminals are able to effectively terrorize and silence people in Black communities.

Steeltrap 11-29-2007 12:54 PM

^^
I am of deeply mixed mind about Whitlock because the sense I get is that he doesn't propose solutions. I do not mind people calling people out, but solutions should be at least attempted. I'm also sort of surprised at the timing of the article. Note that Fox Sports doesn't have a comment box open.

nikki1920 11-29-2007 01:21 PM

Is this the guy that goes back and forth with SupaKen (for those who get Russ Parr)?

Either way, I think he did make some valid points, but as Steeltrap said, offers no solutions. I mean, we all know what the issues are, but how do we go about solving them?

Steeltrap 12-04-2007 01:07 PM

Eve Jihan Jeffers needs help with the make-up and lasered off tats.

Mary Jane Blige, if she's going to be blonde, needs a longer wig/weave and also needs the tats gone. It destroys the look.

jojapeach 12-04-2007 01:35 PM

I was scrolling thru the Movies That Rock pics and thinking, "Everyone looks GOOD!" Even Usher looked decent, and I'm not really feeling him anymore. Then, I get to Eve and that foundation looking more like a mask than anything. I'm upset that her girls are just smashed in that dress.

I like Mary's cute little blonde cut. It looks good on her.

AKA2D '91 12-04-2007 01:47 PM

They do look nice. I'm thinking MJB is channelling Nina Simone. Isn't she playing her in an upcoming film?

I agree about the tats. As someone mentioned or I heard on the radio, it shows her (MJB) "growing pains" or something along that line.

Rapper Pimp C found dead in LA hotel

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071204/.../obit_pimp_c_2

LOS ANGELES - Pimp C, one-half of the veteran Houston rap group UGK, was found dead in an upscale hotel on Tuesday.

"It is with great regret that I must confirm that Chad Butler aka Pimp C, one half of the legendary UGK, was in fact discovered dead this morning," his publicist, Nancy Byron, said in a statement. "Manager Rick Martin is asking that everyone please respect his family and those close to him at this time and refrain from rumors and innuendo."

Pimp C and partner Bun B were pioneers of Southern rap, and hit the mainstream with their cameo on Jay-Z's hit "Big Pimpin'."
