Yes he does. I don't know where it is right now (I can find it later), but CBS did a whole interview the other day about it. Eric IS America's voice, he can't really play for himself when it comes to voting.

And supposedly something BIG is happening in the house right now. Typically week 7 (this week) is where a big twist comes, you know, the whole "expect the unexpected" thing.

POSSIBLE SPOILER: Dick and Dani may have found something through the chess game. People are saying perhaps the coup d'etat. Who knows.

Oh Lawdy KD:eek:! I am not really liking this America's Player thing b/c I agree with an earlier post that some of the things "America" has Eric doing and voting is for laughs I think.

Highlight:

Did they find it yesterday? I know on AD last night Dick is thinking that he may not go home---he hasn't realized that Dustin was put up on purpose; he thinks the alliance is breaking up.

I am a bit nervous that RICHARD may not go home b/c I'm not sure how Eric will have to vote. With Zach you just don't know; Jen-I'm thinking she is going to vote Dick out by how she was talking last night but you never know. I just have this real twisted feeling that "America" will have Eric vote to keep RICHARD:eek::eek::mad::mad:.

KDAngel 08-16-2007 01:03 PM

I'd be DARN surprised if Eric doesn't have to keep ED. ED's has the highest player ratings in BB history as a favourite. I mean, people may hate him on one hand, but America doesn't seem OK with letting him go anywhere.

MysticCat 08-16-2007 01:36 PM

On some of the live feeds, some of the houseguests have been complaining to each other that they feel like they are being pressured by the production people in the diary room to vote out Dustin and keep ED -- that is, until Big Brother tells them to stop discussing the diary room.

Now that's messed up! Something is up. We will see tonight:confused::confused:.

KDAngel 08-16-2007 03:06 PM

I've not seen anything like that whatsoever. My newspaper job is paying for me to watch the live feeds now (which stay on in the background of my computer all the time now), and I don't buy that.

Maybe Jen is the twist? I mean, who else would give up 1/2 the money? And she's just so... odd. I don't know.

Spoiler maybe: Jess and Eric seemed to have decided to vote Dustin out. Or rather, Eric seems to have convinced Jess it's the right thing to do and they've agreed upon it. (not that Jess can vote as HoH)

I can't speak from personal observation. I was just relying on Reality News Online's recap of the August 14 live feeds, which says:

Jen and Amber discuss their votes, and Jen mentions that she sometimes feels pressured by the diary room people to vote a certain way, as in keeping Dick this week. No wonder the producers want Dick to stay – his popularity on the CBS website is nearing 40% (the next most popular person is Daniele, with close to 15%). Big Brother tells Jen and Amber to stop talking about the diary room.

and

Eric goes to the diary room, and when he comes out, Jen says, “Here he comes, Mr. America.” This makes Eric nervous, and he asks Jen what she means by this. She doesn’t say anything. Eric tells Jessica that the diary room sessions involve a lot of leading questions that push the houseguests to keep Dick this week. Eric thinks that Dick is just so hated by the fans that the producers want to keep him.

Of course, I didn't pick up reading before that the last comment was coming from Eric, who obviously can't be honest about diary room conversations and may want to try and color perceptions to cover the fact that "America" will make him vote for Dustin.

You're actually getting paid to watch the live feeds? I don't know whether to be impressed or sympathetic. :D

I heard that on another message board too - but for last week's vote (between Kail and Eric).

Velocity_14 08-16-2007 09:14 PM

Okay....I got back home right after Dustin was eliminated...now I half way don't even want to watch anymore b/c I feel like something is fishy---but I will probably keep watching anyway:).

If you all don't mind, can somebody pleeeeeeease tell me how everyone voted???? I am so confused right now:confused::confused:. Please help a sister out:(.

Yeah, it's Jen. To me she's the most random of all. I mean she gave up 1/2 the money and claims to be playing just to be playing... no idea about her.

Sympathetic. I mean, I'd MUCH rather read recaps than watch that often. But it's okay because most of the time they're sleeping and things are interesting. Which is also a GREAT reason never to pay money for them. Anything 1/2 way decent ends up on youtube anyway. :p

Oh, and I guess everyone expects this from me, but I must say I'm glad to see Dustin go. I think Eric finally got a clue when evicting tonight (which we knew he was going to do for the past 2 days), and said he "embraced the idea." He needs to get back on America's side if he wants to keep moving forward in the game.

polarpi 08-16-2007 09:26 PM

HOH Spoiler: Danielle

Velocity - I think (from what I read on the other message board) that Jameka and Amber were the only votes for Dick to go.

jitterbug13 08-16-2007 09:45 PM

^^^^
A little shocked about tonight. Only Amber and Jamika voted for Dick. It's really going to be interesting.

I still think these people don't know how to play the game.

mu_agd 08-17-2007 04:51 AM

I'm so done with this show.

LeslieAGD 08-17-2007 08:22 AM

As bummed as I am that stupid Dick is still in the house, I will probably keep watching until Eric is eliminated.

unspokenone25 08-17-2007 10:02 AM

okay, i've finally decided to post in this thread because i've been an avid BB watcher since Season 2.

all i can say about last night's episode was that a spectacular example of how the game should be played. i'm not condoning what they did to dustin (who just happens to remind of my best gay friend, dustin) but it was still a great move.

le sigh. if only i could see kaysar's beautiful face again.

Nominees: Amber & Jameka

Hmmm...looks to be an interesting week :)

Sister Havana 08-18-2007 02:43 AM

Please please please let Amber go home. I am so sick of her.

Velocity_14 08-18-2007 03:49 PM

BB8 really sucks this season!!

This is the WORST season of BB. It is so obvious that things have been set up...I'm just disappointed...but....in my disappointment I still watch...lol.

I don't care who goes home b/c they are all getting on my nerves but I think they are going to backdoor Jen if Amber/Jameka win POV and if they don't they want Amber gone since Jameka can't compete for HOH.

doubleblue&gold 08-18-2007 04:37 PM

I just watch the show and sometimes get on here and read to catch up.

So........are there polls or any other indiations that "America's Choice" really is their choice and not just what the show producers want to happen? Because I don't know if I believe America is picking for Eric.

KDAngel 08-18-2007 11:57 PM

POV winner: Dani

welll....

if these fools were actually playing with some sense, jen should have been out weeks ago. right now amber and jameka serve a purpose--as slight as it is. the next one on the block really should be eric and then zach. zach has been skating by for weeks now.

Yes Zach's skating by, BUT Dani's loyal to him through Nick. Zach needs to latch on to Dani and try not to play any other side though... but sometimes skating by is a good strategy, I mean people do win in these shows by doing crap like that.

There's really no need to get rid of Eric yet. I mean, they don't know know that but he's voting as America, and America isn't about to get rid of Dick or Dani any time soon. But from the house's POV, he does need to go sometime soon.

Jam doesn't matter until she's able to compete for HoH again -- she just needs to go out SOMETIME before then. Amber will be another target soon.

Things are going to get very complicated for D/D soon though as they are sure to realize they should take out others before Jam and I'm sure they like Zach more than Eric/Jess...

Oh and D/D, think Eric's part of CBS. Good call: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4smPkY5KqUE

BBAD spoiler....

This

is

spoiler

space!

Highlight: Jen has cracked. She destroyed Dick's cigarettes last night. When Dick found out, he blew up. BB replaced the cigarettes. Jen and Dick had a confrontation that may have involved some physical contact. BBAD and the feeds immediately went to FOTH. Jen has been eating normal food. Apparently, if she stays, BB says that she will have a "penalty nomination" and can't take herself off if she wins the veto.

I agree with you. This is getting ridiculous. You can call someone B*$@&es and "cunts"....tell people that they are better off being dead than being a mother....you can hide someone's property...you can bang pots and pans over someone's head to wake them up....blow your nose on hand towels that other people use...but if you destroy some nasty a$$ cancer sticks you get a penalty nomination:confused::confused::confused:.

I'm sorry---say what you want but that is dumb as hayle!!

ZTABullwinkle 08-21-2007 01:32 AM

Highlight: The penalty nom is because she ate "normal" food when she is still on slop.

KDAngel 08-21-2007 02:07 AM

Highlight: Wow, I totally forgot to mention the cig thing earlier because I had just wrote about it for the paper. Yeah, Jen's crazy and obvi she's going because... well she will be. Eric may have to vote against it though as AP (since she has a higher viewer rating than Jam), and then things will turn fishy all over again.

darling1 08-21-2007 09:22 AM

butttttt

that may give her butt another week in the house. since these idiots are so stupid, they may vote out jameka.

i agree

he is probably the best skater thus far..lol

this has gotta be the most frustrating season. its like these folks are stumbling on strategy. i still think eric should have been taken out because that fool is the king of double talk. granted he is working for america, but a few times he was just too obvious about some things. if the folks were smart, they would have picked up on it and got him out already.

KDAngel 08-21-2007 09:43 AM

Oh how things change in the BB house.

Highlight: While Amber and Dani were away on their mystery trip and cig debaccle ends, Jen goes to the kitchen and makes herself a turkey burger, which she eats followed by an apple, a half pint of cottage cheese, a cucumber and another turkey burger. This is shocking, because Jen is on the slop diet. Jen's behavior earned her the first ever penalty nomination in US BB history. Next week, Jen will be on the block with the two nominees selected by the HoH. Jen will not be able to compete in the PoV, and no one will be allowed to use the PoV to take her off the block. The alliance of Jessica, Eric, Dick and Daniele figure this is a perfect excuse to evict Jameka this week, and as much as Dick hates to have her around for another week, they are planning to evict Jen next week.

A New Plan arises: While sitting on the patio, Dick and Zach came up with a plan. Because Jen will be on the block next week, and since it's a forgone conclusion that everyone will vote to evict Jen [as Dustin was sure that everyone who vote to evict Dick], they think they should throw the HoH contest to Amber. Why Amber? If Amber wins HoH, then the next week she won't be eligible compete in that HoH contest. This virtually secures, Jessica, Eric, Zach, Dick and Dani as the final five. Dick is exuberant over this new plan.

Meanwhile... Eric and Jessica are making plans of their own. They want to get rid of either Dick or Daniele next week, but in a way that they won't get blood on their hands.

If the house guests were smart, they would forget about Eric temporarily. He turned on his own alliance and, if he gets to the end with Jameka or Amber (however unlikely) or Jessica, he probably will not win. His best shot would be against Dick or Danielle.

AKA2D '91 08-21-2007 09:51 AM

Zach should be out!

I'm going to cancel Showtime, because you guys are giving me more info than AD. :o :D

polarpi 08-21-2007 10:25 AM

Oh, this week is getting mighty interesting...:D

I thought last week was good - but this tops the cake! The strategy they're talking about is perfect - and does almost guarantee final 5!

KDAngel 08-21-2007 11:43 AM

Looks like Eric, gets to act for himself at the very end:

2. Voting Periods: America's Player on Big Brother begins on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PT) and ends at 11:59:59 AM PT on Wednesday September 12, 2007 (the "America's Player Period"). "

Aww...from watching AD it seems like they allowed her to eat normal food. I was under the impression that it was for destroying the ED's property but I have also read some additional feeds....

You know....I would probably start eating regular food too...lol. I really don't blame Jen at all; it was mentioned that Jen "said" that if she gets voted out that she was not going to stay in sequester.

This show got out of hand a looooooooooong time (ex. ED was allowed to poor ice tea on someone's head and was given a warning and told he did not "cross-the-line"). Someone also made an interesting point on one of the feeds on the cbs website that if the "rule" is that you can hide someone's belongings but not "destroy" it---why was Eric given orders by "America" to put mustard on one of Jen's shirts and allowed to do it? The mustard could have "destroyed" the shirt depending on the material---why could he have just hid something of hers instead if that is the "rule."

I honestly don't care who wins at this point b/c NONE of them can play. Eric's double-talking self made a comment a few days ago on AD about Jameka that pissed me off. Of course he was talking to Dick; they were discussing how Jameka is an idiot and Dick said that he doesn't understand why she would sacrifice 5 HOH's and Eric seriously "dogged" that girl out...I was like 'it was for your stupid a$$.' I know that he could not tell Dick that but dang...he didn't have to dog her out either. They are all full of that stuff.

On a brighter note---I miss Nick;)!

darling1 08-21-2007 01:56 PM
