ETA: where is Usher's open letter? BTW, dude, NO ONE cares that you impregnated a 40 year old woman who left her husband and 4 children to be with you. It proves that the power of the p is still a mighty force.

Here's the open letter...

http://blackvoices.aol.com/blogs/200...ma-drama/#cont

And LOL at the power of the p! I really think he's wupped.

Back to Scary Spice...Either one of two things happened. 1. There was more to the relationship than she thought or 2. There was a relationship and dropped her faster than a hot potato once she became pregnant and Tracey became available. Right now I'm leaning towards #2.

I think it is more like #2 as well, for some reason I believe her story and I think that Eddie decided he didn't want the whole relationship-baby thing after all, plus, you know he didn't want to change his "lifestyle". Tracy Edmonds probably turns a blind eye to all his shenanigans...:)

i just saw Beyonce's tumble on The Insider. her fall beat out Miss USA's and Michelle Williams' falls:eek:
to paraphrase Donnie McClurkin, "she fell down but she got up"...
and as for Lindsey Lohan, i think she needs to go back to Huntington, LI. it's really time to go home. Hollywood clearly isn't working for her...

That's what Alexuss Tylor's been "preaching". (I still think Tameka is a man)

Note to B: Get some of that lacefront thinned out next time...heavy weave makes you off balance...

I agree with you whole post Soror. According to Ms. Tylor, it'll make you slap somebody.

I was thinking if that weave wasn't so heavy she wouldn't have tipped over.

To be fair, the alleged threatening note was found in his car- not sent to anyone, and it's unclear whether he really meant it or was making a specific threat to any university, and the whole thing was instigated by a gun dealer who was concerned that he was way too anxious to get his guns, which just sounds wierd. Also, the police found pictures of him flashing "gang signs". Hmmmm wonder what that was.

Anyway, it doesn't sound to me (from reading that article) like he was making a real threat.

Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell

they recently announced they were splitting up. if i can find a link i will post.

Subject: Duane Martin Comes Out: Ends Eleven-Year Marriage With Tisha
Campbell

Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell thought their love was a match made in
heaven. By Hollywood's standards, it was. Married August 17, 1996, the
couple transcended the norm for celebrity marriages, most lasting on
average about three years. But not theirs. Their nuptials are coming to
an end.

The 37-year-old Martin announced to his wife a love affair with another
male actor. This news devastated Tisha, 38. "It was the biggest shock of
my life," Campbell says. "I've heard women say they didn't know their
man was gay or bi and I wondered how they didn't know. But I really
didn't have a clue." Tisha expressed outrage but she was no saint
either. She also had previously acknowledged engaging in an alternative
lifestyle during their marriage. The couple has a six year old son, Zen.

New faces on The View?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070727/...tv/tv_the_view

Considering how Ms. Goldberg left Showtime at the Apollo high and dry, I don't know if I could put all my eggs in her basket.

And I haven't gotten good confirmation (aka having reliable sources reporting) about Duane and Tisha even breaking up, so I'm going to leave that one alone.

Yeah. She did. You could tell she was hurt. She tried to get up quickly, then went back down.

I give her her props when it comes to entertaining/performing. She still needs to take some time off, IMO.

I don't think the story is legit. This reads like the Jaleel White (Steve Urkel) is dead articles that get passed around the net.

Now that I re-read it, you are probably right...I really do hope that it is false.:o

delph998 07-27-2007 07:46 PM

What you mean Shemar?! Aww naw! :(

jitterbug13 07-27-2007 09:36 PM

The Shemar rumor is not true. They had pics with him at a nude beach, but with two females. The tabloids ran the pics, but without the females.

^^^^^

she didn't sign the pre-nup! the dialogue went like this

TF: I told you I wasn't marrying you (or having this baby) for the money U

U: but baby, the only way my Mom would come to the wedding is if you signed the pre-nup,

TF: I know baby but you don't understand, I need to make sure that I get more than half your income so that my other 3 children don't think I love them less than this baby...

U: speaking of the baby, Mom is threatening to give me the results of the prenatal dna test, is there something I should know....

Love the smiles!!!!

Yeah, I heard there was not going to be a prenup. Somebody talked some sense into him.

To quote one of my favorite songs of all time:

WE WANT PRENUP, WE WANT PRENUP!!!! :p :)

MeezDiscreet 07-29-2007 01:29 AM

I wonder if this is the theme of his upcoming album and this was all for publicity.

RedefinedDiva 07-29-2007 11:48 AM

I wondered that myself, but Tamieka's husband would have to be crazy to go along with this mess. There is NO WAY that I'd "loan out" my husband to make "appearances" with a chick, do interviews, claim he knocked her up, etc. just for some cash. Even if all that were true and they all are really such LOSERS to go through with such an elaborate scheme, I highly doubt that Usher's mom would allow herself to be publicly humiliated just so her son could sell some albums. At least I would hope not.....

I hope that's not the plan because I could see it backfiring and blowing up in all their faces.

AKA2D '91 07-29-2007 11:57 AM

Someone is probably writing songs about this for Usher as I type. He'll be in the studio this week, then the songs will be added to the CD. Folks will want to hear the songs, he'll go on his press tour and the CD will be a bigger seller than Confessions. :D

Ya'll tell me if the CD is any good. I'm not buying it.

CrimsonTide4 07-29-2007 12:04 PM

Usher and Tameka

Did you all see the stuff about her welfare fraud crime from several years ago?

Is the pregnancy also a hoax/publicity related?

AKA2D, I'm with you. I will not be buying the CD. Although I only bought his very first one for a penny thanks to Columbia House.:o:p

Ushmeka

I saw an update on People.com, and apparently Urrsshh and Manmeka had some, shall we say, stylistic differences on the wedding. Usher wanted celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten to cater the wedding (great food, BTW. I've eaten at one of his restaurants in N.Y. and he's married to a sista), while 'Meka wanted barbecue.

Sorry, although I like a good barbecue (just had a beef rib and rice for breakfast), you don't do that at a wedding! Too much potential for mess.

Stop playing!!!! LOL
Why wait until the day of to cancel though knowing that this was potentially the reason? Caterers have to be booked in advance so surely Usher knew what Tameka wanted to have served at the wedding.

jitterbug13 07-29-2007 03:48 PM

Food wasn't the only reason...

http://www.people.com/people/article...048727,00.html

When did Ben Verneen become his godfather?

And I can't believe that Usher's own mother wasn't invited to the wedding until the last minute. If it wasn't for her, he wouldn't be where he's at today. Maybe her mother was trying to convince Chilli to come back (considering she was a part of the reason they broke up).

This is one HAM. :(

ETA: Has anyone heard that Eddie and Tracy are getting married?

AKA2D '91 07-29-2007 03:53 PM

Ben Vereen has always been his Godfather. I remember that being mentioned on Video Soul when he first came out. :o

jitterbug13 07-29-2007 03:56 PM

^^^^
Miss that memo. :o

ETA: Maybe it was something from Tameka's past...

http://blackvoices.aol.com/blogs/200...edding-is-off/

Give me a few minutes and I'll try to find the National Enquirer link.

AKA2D '91 07-29-2007 04:14 PM

The part where she was been married more than once. One of her former lover's was a drug dealer who was killed execution style, per Meka's sis Valencia. I guess that was too much for Usher. Shucks, that's too much info for MOI. :p

See Usher, we don't always want to believe our parents. They haven't been through for NOTHING (anything). But, if all of this true and you have been disappointed, I'm sure your MOTHER was there for YOU with OPEN ARMS. Don't ever "diss" your mom, like that EVER.

This is my open and closed letter! :p
