I'm not usually a proponent for thread closing but at least moderate threads equally.

I am Hazelle and have been on here for over a month...you jumped all over me for being in "caps" and using too many exclamation marks--both of which were because I was excited at the prospect of being on this chat with such interesting and fascinating Greek members.

Now I just happened to scan this idiotic string and find that Centaur brought me into the fray and I had not even touched the subject.

To be honest, I am hurt because I have not done one damn thing mean or nasty to anyone here....have tried to be friendly and cooperative and thought that was the way to behave here with my new friends.

You know at times if others read some of the posts perhaps they would give a second thought to why they wanted to join a group that would arbitrarily criticize and accuse someone without any reason.

I expect a full apology from you, Centaur, you are better than this. This chat is to show how great it is to be a member of a Greek Letter Organization. Let us try and reflect that mission.

This website is not about the sunshine and puppies and happiness. We're still people and mostly we just want to talk about stuff. That includes snarking at the drunken posting. If this is the only time your name gets brought up in a negative manner, be happy.

Your posting has improved fantastically in both content and style since you started. The "jumping" on you has certainly seemed to have turned out for the good.

Hazelle, people who expect and demand apologies on GC usually don't get it and usually don't merit one. And I'll bet you $50 now that you're not gonna be getting one EVER from centaur just because, from the looks of it, she hurt your feelings.

If you expect GreekChat to be a honky dory sunshiney day kind of place, then you're definitely mistaken. People post on GC for various reasons, and you can't force them to post what you want to read. Some of your posts have been pretty over the top, and that's enough for you to become the butt of jokes. I hate to admit it, but honestly? Some of your posts definitely made me bang my head on the monitor a few times.

It's just a message board. And I'm telling (warning?) you now...if you think centaur's bad -- wait till you see what other people (and I won't name names) are capable of doing.

My advice? If you don't like it, there's the door. You're more than welcome to stay, but you'll probably need a thicker skin to do so.

I have to agree with some of the other members here. If one is replying to a different poster and/or post, one could have several posts in a row.
Keeps reply much cleaner and clearer comparied to combining several into one. JMHO.

CAPs is a whole different story.

This is why I question the intelligence of so many here. The multi-quote feature wasn't added to be vigilantly ignored. It was to avoid multi-posting. What would keep replies cleaner would be one post so that the thread isn't shit up by continuous comebacks.
