It's called a lawsuit darling. She can sue the salon and get so much money that it wouldn't matter that she looked like Mr. Bigglesworth because she'd just be that filthy, stinking rich.

AlphaFrog 10-16-2006 03:07 PM

I'm just glad that MY salon is too elite to be sued.

tunatartare 10-16-2006 03:15 PM

Ladies, when it comes to hair care, just remember: if you can afford it, it's not good enough.

This is so true I can hardly stand it. On the other hand, that almost seems like an insult to my salon.

AlphaFrog 10-16-2006 03:31 PM

Insulting other people's salons is a violation of TOS

*pretend I copied TOS here because I'm too lazy to actually do it*

You're Reported!

You're just anti-HT and shouldn't be posting on the HT forum at alL!!!

Seriously. Your opinions are worthless to me.

kddani 10-16-2006 04:46 PM

GP and I will be representing all of the non-successful Potential HT's in a class action suit.

greekalum 10-16-2006 05:22 PM

Really? I heard there was a copy of all our dye methods in the Library of Congress, even JimBob's!

Don't lie...you both know you aren't lawyers...I mean you didn't get into Harvard law or anything. We all know that only real lawyers come from Harvard.

texas*princess 10-16-2006 07:51 PM

no news today :(

greekalum 10-16-2006 08:02 PM

Oh, don't give up hope! Did you call the salon corporate offices? Sometimes the local branches don't know about all the HAIR TRANSPLANT SERVICES they offer! They just need to be educated! You can be the one to do it!

I think that that is a great idea. You know, some of us strive for excellence and must make hard choices in order to realize big dreams like hair transplants! I am hoping that my journey for HT will fulfill my desire to realize my big dreams -- and I'm a big girl, so I NEED big dreams!

And t*p - no worries, I haven't heard anything either. My cousin Hickey says that sometimes you have to wait for the good things in life -- like when Wal-Mart does their rollback pricing on important stuff like toilet paper & beef jerky. So I am not losing hope & neither should you, my hairternal sister :)

Xylochick did contact me today, however. She has video proof that I am in desperate need of an HT, and I think that she can provide this as evidence to several of the salons I am shopping to prove that I could really use HT to fulfill my journey & realize my dreams!

greekalum 10-17-2006 12:44 PM

AXO Alum, were you a little sister to a toupee society in college? Because that kind of classy association is for sure what JimBob is looking for!! Call him up and let him know if so!

This makes me giggle even though it is oh so wrong.

OMG!!!! I was DEFINITELY a little sister to the toupee society in college - they wanted to have greek letters (can you just imagine!) so they called themselves Tau Rho Epsilon (TPE) and we called them the TAUpay's since they had to pay for both the toupee's AND the right to wear greek letters.

I never thought about it, but that would most def help me in my journey! I'm going to type some emails - I would never have the courage to call, but I have some HUGE internet balls & will definitely use it to my advantage. My cousin Hickey always says that teh intraweb is the best place to pick a fight since no one knows anyone else on teh intraweb & you can even be banned from a message board & come back with a new username! He just told me if I ever did that, to make sure that I didn't come off "sounding" just like the old persona I was using - otherwise, everyone will figure it out, and no matter how much I protested that the other person wasn't me, that people would just make fun of me because it is pretty easy to figure out. So I would make sure to never do that - it may hurt my journey to fulfill my lifelong dream of shopping to find the right HT salon for me

Wow, you really DO have some huge internet balls. I've heard that some of the HT-discussion websites can check the IP address of users and can confirm when banned users reregister under a different name. I'd be scared of never finding the right salon (no, make that, of ANY salon that would take me) if I got found out. HT is too important to me to potentially hurt my chances. I mean, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. :(

I'm so jealous of your confidence. You've got to be the kind of person who is looking into HT for nothing but the right reasons. Soldier on!

tunatartare 10-17-2006 01:27 PM

Those who brag about the size of their virtual balls have very small ones in real life. I'm just sayin'.

Certified Student Attorney GP is totally ready to sue, Attorney kddani!

Aduladi 10-17-2006 02:05 PM

Thank You HT people

I love this topic. I ran across it by chance and it is now my favorite thread. I want to be upfront-I do not have any HT aspirations. But after reading about the struggle and the discrimination that has been posted on this topic (shame on the curly haired folks) I decided that what is needed here is some social justice-type support. So I am willing to be a SHT (supporter of hair transplants). I encourage others who believe in this issue to join me. What ever we need to do to SHT we will do.

scbelle 10-17-2006 02:32 PM

You said virtual balls. lol
That's almost as funny as cat porn.

Are you kidding me? They can actually check those things? I thought that was just a ploy to make people think that they were untraceable on teh intraweb! I certainly am concerned about all of this now - I may need to make a few more emails & put on a disguise so no one can find me. Or I could just stir up isht for the fun of it & see where it leads....

But I would never put my dreams on the line like that - my journey is much too important for games. I have to make sure that I can do this for the right reason so that my hairternal sisters will have a soldier to fight for them in this journey.

Xylochick216 10-17-2006 07:17 PM

Oh. Em. Gee. AXO Alum, you have HUGE internet balls. You must get a HT soon! Although MY salon is rather exclusive, I have told many other salons about your quest to join them in eternal hairiness. The video definitely helped. You TOTALLY have to keep me up to date and let me know as soon as you have a date set for transplants!!!!!!!

How are our other potential new hairternal sisters doing out there? Any recent developments?!?!?!!

texas*princess 10-17-2006 07:26 PM

UPDATE!!!

OMG I'm so excited!!!!

Gonzo called me today, and since I have a hairternal sister on the internet helping me out, I think the chances for this one is good!!! They said that they do take new clients but that there is a big process and I need a sponser. I'm going to try to get a sponser, so we'll see!!!

Still no word on Kermit or Miss Piggy, but I'll keep you posted!!!

Sister Havana 10-17-2006 07:49 PM

Aren't there people on here who are clients of Gonzo? Maybe you should ask one of them to be your sponsor. I am sure they'd be happy to!

Unregistered- 10-17-2006 07:55 PM

There needs to be a list stickied to the top of the forum of those who have successfully HT-ed! You know, just so y'all know which salons are the easiest!

And don't forget about those are still seeking the perfect HT! They need a list too!

Well I think that we should also have a list of who's for or against HT. I don't know about you, but I personally don't feel comfortable talking about HT in such a public forum.

REPORTED!

greekalum 10-17-2006 08:34 PM

Texas*Princess, don't let the big process scare you! Someone on the internet will be able to help you find someone in Gonzo to sponsor you. Everyone just wants everyone to fulfill their HT dreams, don't you worry!

texas*princess 10-17-2006 08:46 PM

Thanks SO much for all of your encouragement! Ya'll are the best!

I'm going to see about getting a Gonzo sponser...I think that might be the place for me!

But to make sure I'm definitely going to keep an open mind for Kermit and Miss Piggy. Getting a HT is for LIFE, so I have to make sure I pick the right salon for me

Not if you go to a sketchy salon and your hair falls out afterwards.

Its been like...OMG a few hours, haven't you heard anything from Gonzo or anyplace? You really need to get on the ball and let these salons know your interested.

Nothing shouts "interested" like 50 voicemails in 1 day.

I know!! One would think so anyway -- I left 74 actually... I am thinking about having a friend of mine call & leave some for me as well. Just in case something is wrong with their voicemail & they aren't getting my calls. My cousin Hickey says that sometimes people can be real busy & by just calling over and over let's them know that I am a great candidate for their salon. He says that they admire people like me who show such commitment to their dreams. He says "stalker" is just a big fancy word for "I am committed to excellence" or maybe needing to be committed... I can never keep things straight when my cousin Hickey gets all philosophical and crap.

Tom Earp 10-18-2006 06:41 PM

So, wear a wig.:)

greekalum 10-18-2006 06:45 PM

A wig is NOT THE SAME! Just because it is easier and more appropriate for her situation does not make it the hair transplant of her dreams!!!!

When did so many become so prominent about who does what to their head? Well except a few?

I seriously admire your wig and would like to know where you got it. A damp smelly alley somewhere perhaps?

I'm looking to complement my salon membership and a wig is a good step.

a) I am freaking shocked & lost all bets with a certain snark-pool that it took Tom Earp this long to stick his nose into something that he knows nothing about (or DOES he... inquiring minds don't really give a damn...)

b) I am freaking shocked that he would not be in support of my lifelong journey to fulfill a dream... and damn, I wanted to really get a nice letter of rec from him. My cousin Hickey says that Tom Earp talks real good on GC & he should be teaching high school English so that all those kids can get a good score on their STA's and college GER's. Not to mention the ones that go to law school - hell, they gotta take an LSU or something like that - I think they have to dress up as purple & gold tigers & go to some conventions or something...
