I catch ER whenever I'm home. This episode had me in tears, like Dr Greene's death episode. And the waterworks came when Abby was dancing with Frank too.

I didn't cry as much as Dr. Greene's final episode, but it was close. At least they didn't kill her off, but let her start a new life with Luka in Boston. She really has been to hell and back a few times on ER, hasn't she?

honeychile 10-16-2008 11:31 PM

I knew I had heard what Abby voiced-over throughout the area: it's from the book of Job 38:

16 "Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea
or walked in the recesses of the deep?

17 Have the gates of death been shown to you?
Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death [b] ?

18 Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this.

19 "What is the way to the abode of light?
And where does darkness reside?

20 Can you take them to their places?
Do you know the paths to their dwellings?

21 Surely you know, for you were already born!
You have lived so many years!"

Does anyone remember so far back that Abby had an ex husband and she keyed (or damaged) his fancy sports car. I think he was a doctor but I don't remember much else.

I know that she put him through med school, but I thought she damaged his golf clubs - maybe she did both?

I don't remember her keying his car. However, I do remember her letting the air out of his tires. She and Carter were at some fund raising dinner, and crossed paths with her ex and his girlfriend.

Carter had asked Abby to a charity event. Abby didn’t know it was black tie and when Carter showed up in a tux she had to improvise. She ended up wearing a pink bridesmaid dress. She bumped into her ex and his new girlfriend at the event and her ex called her out on wearing a bridesmaid dress. She wanted to let the air out of all the tires on her exes car but Carter told her she could only do one.

Abby confronted her ex after she got dropped from her rotation after he didn’t pay her tuition as per the divorce agreement. She confronted him at the driving range kicked his bucket of balls over and then started throwing golf cubs.

I really hate what their doing with the Neela's storyline.

DreamfulSpirit 10-25-2008 10:58 AM

I'm eagerly waiting for Dr. Carter's return and Dr. Greene's appearence!!

ME TOO! I remember crying my eyes out when Dr. Greene died. It was like losing a family member I was crying so hard!

Senusret I 10-30-2008 10:05 PM

I missed the past two episodes..... if anyone wants to recap (if it's necessary) be my guest. (I'm watching it as we speak)

honeychile 10-30-2008 11:25 PM

Ray! *sniffle* He does look great, though. I can't be the only one who was hoping that Neela would ride off into the sunset with him, can I?

Senusret, I think you can watch past episodes on NBC.com. At least, that's what I've been told.

Senusret I 10-30-2008 11:29 PM

^^^Thanks! They mentioned that on the commercials, too.

Since Dr. Gallant is dead, I definitely would want Neela with Ray. Soooo romantic.

Lyrics to the song GO from the closing montage:

So you think you've found the one
And she knows just how you feel
And you say that she's for real and she's fun
Well, that's all well and good
That's just the way it should be
To understand and be understood is to be free
So I think that you should go
Go on ahead
Take her in your arms and be wed
Go go go go you restless soul, you're going to find it
Go go go go you restless soul, you're going to find it
Yes, life's a bowl of cherries
You can have as many as you can carry
And someone once said that life is like a cow
But I don't know how that applies
But anyhow here we are all on this planet
Taking everything for granted
But I think you've caught on to something
Don't let go
Go go go go you restless soul, you're going to find it
Go go go go you restless soul, you're going to find it
Oh, yes you did, you found it
Oh, yes you did, you found it
Oh, yes you did, you found it.

Does anyone happen to know who sang tonight's particular version and where I could find it?

NO, you're not the only one. I loved where the Ray-Neela relationship was going, then HE GOT HIT BY A TRUCK! It was nice to see him back, just to give him a happy ending. I really think Neela belongs with him or Lucian. The Aussie guy is not for her.

Did anyone else see this week's previews? Dr. Green returns - I assume in a dream or such.

Yes...that's how they originally said he was going to make an appearence. He's supposed to be in a dream that Angela Bassett's character is going to have.

It has been reported that he had been battling cancer, privately.

I first started watching ER when I heard Michael Crichton was involved with the "project". :(

I do hope that tomorrow's show will make note of it.

Oh, now that would really tie things nicely in a bow! How about Sherry Stringfield and (I forget the actor's name) Nurse Hathaway?

I hope that if he does come back, with other past doctors, it will be a surprise like Doug Ross showing up on my tv screen for Nurse Hathaway's last episode. I am trying to stay away from spoilers, but I do appreciate this one!

I'd like to see Dr. Corday too....

Wait...I wasn't paying attention.... what is it you think you missed?

DreamfulSpirit 11-06-2008 11:59 PM

The part about Dr. Green....yay it'll be next week FINALLY!!!!

ZTABullwinkle 11-07-2008 12:08 AM

I am so excited for next week. Dr. Greene will be back in the ER!

Anyone else enjoying the bigger role Frank seems to have this season? His gruff exterior seems to be softening a bit, for the better.

DreamfulSpirit 11-07-2008 12:16 AM

Why was Dr. Banfield so secretive about Frank helping her out with cooking? I may have missed the first few minutes of what happened between the two of them.

I get the impression that Dr. Banfield wants to be in control. Having Frank help her with the cooking is not in control. Plus, she is trying desperately to leave her personal life outside of the ER. Last night we saw glimpses of pain she is having outside of the ER. Hopefully next week answers some questions.

So excited to have Mark Greene back next week! I will definitely have a box of kleenex on hand for the episode.

Senusret I 11-13-2008 11:41 PM

That was the best scene ER has ever produced.

DreamfulSpirit 11-13-2008 11:42 PM

It is so weird, but so, so, so good to see Dr. Green again!!

Senusret I 11-13-2008 11:44 PM

And surprisingly Dr. Weaver and Jerry.

Senusret I 11-13-2008 11:46 PM

And Dr. Romano. Damn.

DreamfulSpirit 11-13-2008 11:46 PM

whoa....and Dr. Romano too!

Senusret I 11-13-2008 11:58 PM

You know what..... even after all that..... I'm afraid I still don't like Dr. Banfield.

DreamfulSpirit 11-13-2008 11:59 PM

It definitely shows us a different side of her, however you would think that maybe this would make her not so up-tight.
