Fantasia performed on a Sky Show and she did not perform a Hood Boy song. The song she performed seemed as though it would have been better for your lead single. What do I know? I'm not in A&R or any other label's department. :o

MJB comes out next Tuesday with Reflections. I think that she could have released another single off The Breakthrough.

Interesting. I look forward to seeing her performance.

Hey, you'all!! Anyone for some good rhythm and blues standards!! The new Aaron Neville CD is for you....two of the best tracks are his versions of Sitting on the Dock of the Bay and It's All Right!! Really good to rock or sing to....

ALPHA XI DELTA....good sisters, the ones we love so much!!

delph998 12-06-2006 11:45 PM

Fantasia

I went to the official website and the music is sounding lovely! The "Hood Boy" song (which is the first track on the album) is not too bad either. I listened to it a couple of times. I will definitely get this Tuesday.

Has anyone gotten Ruben's cd? and if so, how is it?

BellaSF 12-09-2006 10:26 AM

Cassie's "Long way to go" and Paris Hilton's (I know, I know!) "Stars are blind."

I listen to this on my way home from work everyday. It calms my nerves during rush hour traffic. I also enjoy the song that has the old-time classic "Miss You" sampled in the last two minutes too.

*The one that's like, 'Oh I...Oh I...Miss you Miss you Miss you Miss you Miss youuuu'.

I'm a young one, forgive me. ;)

AKA2D '91 01-17-2007 08:43 PM

Maxwell's single should be on the radiowaves by now. His CD drops in LESS than one month, unless it's been pushed back.

ETA: The SINGLE drops next month! This crap betta be THA BOMB!

Infamous12, you are a woman after my own heart. I thought I was the only person who enjoyed the sample on "2 The Sky".

Conskeeted7 01-18-2007 01:38 AM

I enjoy my Robin Thicke CD also. I just saw him perform on the Tonight Show and it was good. He's got me convinced...LOL

co-sign!!!
I made that part of 2 the Sky my ringtone!!! I listen to this CD everyday, I actually feel like I'm cheating on Kem now cuz Robin has replaced him in heavy rotation...:o

soulfulremix 01-18-2007 04:20 PM

OOhsoFly, I never really got into Kem. I would sing along to him on the radio, but I never felt strongly enough to purchase an album. Robin is another story though. I've been down with him since he was called "Thicke", riding on his bicycle! LOL... I am LOVING the new album. I hope "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" helps him have a long career as a singer.

;) I almost had to pull over in my car and have a moment because I got caught up in it, "I see you Robin! Take it back with the classics!"

When I was a dj for my schools radio show, *in sultry radio voice* 'Black Horizons After Hours...the smoothest show on the radio' I would play Kem's - I Can't Stop Loving You like it was national anthem! It was one of the most requested songs, that and Janet's 'Would You Mind'.

I heard Jilly from Philly's new single "One Time".
It's a collaboration with Eric Roberson, per Music Choice, he attended Howard.

The song is classic Jill. :D

jitterbug13 02-06-2007 11:34 AM

I bought that CD, but having the hardest time of taking it out of its case. :( It's stuck to the spindel and I don't want to break it.

AKA2D '91 02-06-2007 12:02 PM

Return it. :D

Hil St. Soul's cd Soulidified is so very nice. I can't stop playing it.
I've worn out my Robin Thicke, and surprisingly, Lionel Richie's Coming Home is nice. Okay, I've got a list of good ones here:

1. Tamia (Mrs. Grant Hill is back and better than ever)
2. Hil St. Soul
3. Lionel Richie

I don't leave the house without these three. As for old school, I pulled out my 20 year old Keith Sweat-Make It Last Forever, and can't stop playing that one either. Has it really been that long since that one dropped? Where did the time go?

I bought it, and loving it. Especially "Teachme" and "Thequestions." If you liked his other CDs you'll like this one.

ETA: You can listen to the full album on AOL.
