I liked Five Guys at first, but now I avoid them and make my own burgers. I don't like feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack every time I step in there. I'm still in my 20s, lol. |

The one in the Hartford area in CT is actually REALLY good. ETA: They're definitely not healthy - the fries especially. |

Those fries are so good. I just can't keep hurting my body, lol. |

The fries are excellent, though - I'd put them up there with the Bristol Lounge (Four Seasons in Boston) and Radius (also in Boston) as some of the best fries I've ever had. ETA: I heard the fries at Anthony Bourdain's restaurants (Les Halles) are also pretty incredible. |

ETA: When it comes to subs, I find that the local pizza places or Italian delis usually make much better subs than the chains. |
I live in Jersey and never heard of Jersey Mikes. But it seems most of them are down teh shore, so maybe that's it.

The Waffle House in Talladega, AL. Ate there when I came from TX to go to school. We got there at 4am and wanted to have someting to eat. Food was so-so, but I am a true lover of grits! When I took one spoonful of what they called grits, I was through forever with the Waffle House for good! Haven't eaten in one since 1992. However, from the time I was in AL, I always heard how good the Waffle House was. Not for me, it still sucks to this day.

5 Guys Burgers & Fries. We just got one and everyone had been talking about how awesome it was. It wasn't gross, but not awesome. Sonic. Got one last year in a neighboring town and was so excited because it looked awesome in the commercials. False. A&W. I was so mad when they put one on campus, in place of McDs and Subway. In general, if I'm going to get a burger, it is going to come from Swenson's. Northeastern OH peeps can attest to the goodness. |

Jimmy Johns, I much prefer Subway over them.
