How in the hell is he throwing all of this away? One thing I've learned from being in relationships is that if the guy wants space (especially after fucking up big time), you give it to him because that's pretty much the only thing they have control over. |
hey how about Logan comes back and becomes Stars Hollows' resident Elvis impersonator ...he and Michel?? Now, you know the visual in your head of Logan in the white Elvis jump suit...."thank ya thaink ya verrrry much!!" Just have to do this, the chances are the Gilmore Girls are rounding their final roundup.....so afraid

oh rats....did I forget to say that....thanks for remembering and stating it with righteous determination...after all, Rory and her Mom are kinda type cast...despite their movie attempts ...no one can chatter on and on and on like they can....lol!! I always wonder how long they have to practice for those long dialogs...

thats what makes the show amazing!!!
|
So glad to see a new episode today. :D
|
I'm so bummed I missed it - I'm out of town, and I *thought* I found the channel :(
Anyone willing to post a recap? I'll wait, I promise! :D |

Tonight's episode = crap.
I was excited for a new episode, but it seems like GG is losing its appeal as each episode goes by. The maze? WTF? The fact that Luke wore a bracelet was the only good thing to come out of tonight, IMO. If the CW decides that this is the last GG season, I won't be too disappointed. |

For a show that's rapidly going downhill, they really didn't need the whole dumb storyline of a maze to make things worse. Don't stretch out the maze storyline throughout the whole show if all it's going to be good for is the few Luke and Lorelai seconds in the end. Ooh symbolism. Luke and Lorelai not knowing which direction to take. Ooh. Kinda too late for that. At this rate, these guys need more than a prayer to stay afloat. |
Rumors are the show is going to get a 13 episode order for next season. No sure who will be signed on, especially since Melissa McCarthy and Matt Czuchry both booked pilots.
|
of COURSE every boyfriend Rory ever has on GG gets to have their own show. It's the Gilmore Girl curse (for us at least. I still miss Jess and think he was perfect for Rory).
Did anyone else see the symbolic part where there are two different paths in the maze and Logan goes one way and Rory goes the other then Logan decides he'll go and take Rory's path? Thanks for shoving symbolism down our throats, GG! I admit I started choking up in that very last scene with Luke and Loralie though. Somehow that ending made up for the entire crap episode (although Kirk as the Minotaur-Kirk in general in fact-was quite amusing). |

I kind of want another 13 episodes, but I kind of don't. If it's going to end, just end it happily now, without tearing my show apart. |
Okay, so I don't know how many of you on here watch Supernatural also, but last's night episode started off kind of funny. Sam and Dean (the two main characters) were on a tour of a studio and the tour guide was driving past Stars Hollow and made a comment about how if they were lucky they would see a star from the show. Then they cut to Jared Padeleki (sp?) who plays Sam. I just thought it was kind of funny :)

The look on his face was priceless! We don't get the CW here, so when I watched supernatural online, I caught that too...great stuff. I wish they would put full episodes of GG online...that would be great. |
So, riddle me this: How did Rory become "Rory" if her real name is Lorelai??
|
Quote:
Mom is Lorelai Victoria Gilmore. Rory is Lorelai Leigh Gilmore. If I'm not mistaken, I recall an episode where Lorelai talks about how the name "Rory" came to be. As with most kids growing up, they can't say names/words properly, and that's how Lorelai Junior = Rory. |

wouldn't she be the third since richard's mother is the original lorelai? |

If you want to be technical, I guess Trix would have been Lorelai the First, and so forth. I actually knew of a man named Kimberly, and his daughter was also named Kimberly. The daughter's now 25, married (with a different last name) with two kids...we still call her "Kim Jr." |

I keep missing this show! Updates? Is it available to watch online?

Show starts off with Rory in her Chilton uniform and Lorelai running out the door because she's off to Hawaii (interesting note, because LG was actually born in Honolulu). Rory heads to the kitchen to find Paris serving a meal to Doyle and what looks like her family. Her refrigerator has photos of Paris and Hilary Rodham Clinton and a bunch of other worldly dignitaries. They ask Rory what she's doing in their kitchen and Rory replies, "This is my house." Paris says, "We've been through this before -- it's still your house...in your heart." Paris and Doyle hand Rory her orange community service jumpsuit and trash picker upper and they tell her to hurry up or else she'll be late for work. She then wakes up from her dream. Commercial and then the GGs are having Friday night dindin at Richard and Emily's. Gma and Gpa tell Rory that they bought an apartment in Manhattan, perfect for Rory to live in while she does her fellowship at the NYT. Rory then reveals that she didn't get the fellowship, and you can tell Lorelai's kind of irritated because she had to hear about it for the first time with Gma and Gpa. Later the next day, Paris is hosting a "Yale Students who got into Harvard Med School" party at the apartment. Rory, who just received a letter from the Chicago Tribune saying they're not hiring at this time, decides to give the peeps in Providence a call. Remember that this is the job that wanted her, but she told em no because she was waiting for the NYT fellowship. Well, the Providence peeps pretty much told her, "Too bad, so sad -- you told us no so we got someone else." Pauvre Rory. :( While at the diner, Lorelai runs into Miss Patty and Babette, who are speaking in whisper because they're saving their voices for Karaoke night. Lorelai's eyes get big because she notices that Luke's wearing a blue hat she bought for him during their relationship. He's no longer wearing that dreary black one he's being wearing since they broke up. I swear, who the hell notices these things? A hat's a hat. Naturally Lorelai reports her findings to Sookie at the inn, who's still coming up with one weird concoction after another since she's knocked up again. On the Lane and Zach front, Zach gets a gig of a lifetime when he's asked to be lead guitarist on a tour that'll last two months. I guess Hep Alien's on a break? Initially Lane thinks about packing up the boys and following him on the tour, but ultimately decides that she can't, but she'll go his shows in NYC, Boston, and Philly. Luke's excited for his boat trip with April, who, I noticed is calling him "Dad" now. She's probably been calling him dad for several episodes now, but you know me -- I don't pay attention. April bursts his bubble though, because she's been accepted into a Science Program especially for 8th graders during the time of the planned boat trip. Luke's bummed, but he tells his daughter to go. The whole town (including Gypsy and Lulu, who I haven't seen in a while) is at that Karaoke bar. Miss Patty and Babette reserved the first 15 songs just for them, including "FEVER!," one of my ultimate favs. Rory, still kinda stuck in a rut after things don't go her way for the 2nd time in her perfect life, tells her mom that what would really cheer her up is if Lorelai got up on stage and sang a song. Lorelai replies that she's not that drunk yet, so Rory orders shizzots. Lorelai gets her ass on stage and proceeds to her rendition of "I Will Always Love You." Lane tells Rory that Lorelai never struck her as a Whitney fan, but then Rory says that it's probably Dolly's version she's singing. It starts off goofy and left me thinking, "wow....LG can actually carry a tune." You can tell that Lorelai's doing her drunk karaoke thing....and then in a nanosecond she sobers up when Luke walks into the bar. Next thing you know, her eyes are fixed on him while she's singing what is probably the worst ever song you could possibly sing while drunk at a karaoke bar. The entire bar gives her a loud applause and the Stars Hollow peeps all clutch their invisible external hearts because they're all very well aware of the Luke and Lorelai love story. Last scene.... Rory's gone back to school and Lorelai gets a knock on the door. It's Logan. They discuss his successful couple of days on the Left Coast and he reveals that he's got a great offer in San Francisco. And then...he asks...for Lorelai's permission...to marry Rory. Fade to end Executive Producer credits. Next week, Rory graduates from Yale. I'm assuming that Lorelai gave Logan her permish, but she looks surprised and almost mortified when Logan pulls out the ring at what I'm assuming is Rory's graduation party at R&E's house. Christopher's also there (next to Lorelai when she says "He's not going to ask her now..."). Funny how he could make it to Rory's Yale graduation but he couldn't make it to her graduation from Chilton....? I'm wondering if this is the last episode A S-P wrote for the GG? I know she already wrote Rory's Yale Graduation before she left, so I'm hoping that it'll be chock full of that A S-P pizzazz that's been totally lacking this season. I don't recall if they said that this was the season/series finale....but I really hope it isn't. Anyway, that was last night's episode. Thank you for distracting me from actually doing work just now. I needed that break. |

I heard rumor there will be an 8th season with 13 episodes rather than the normal 22. |
I thought last night's episode was better than most of the other ones this season. A week ago I would have said take the show off the air but after enjoying last night's I hope its not the last season.

And if they sign on for thirteen now, and decide to stick out a season, they'll do 22. It's all either up in the air right now, or not being shared with the public, so it's academic. |

I'm not sure why you feel the need to correct me when I only suggested a possibility in the first place. I'm not stupid, I know how TV shows work. |
Am I the only Gilmore Girls fan who wants the show to die?
|
Quote:
EXACTLY... I don't believe it's the ratings they're worried about. It's LG and AB and the others WANTING to continue, and how much they will get paid to do so that is the issue at hand. |
