Okay, you're at about a 11 and I need you at about a 6.5.

Any way HUSKERS...so close. Great, amazing game. One of the best I've ever been to, and for once Nebraska now has a chance to come back in games b/c we can pass the ball. It was so unbelievably loud today, and so much fun. But considering the 5 turnovers, we should have won, which is a lot more than I predicted. Plus a lot of peopl lost money since we covered the spread.

The1calledTKE 10-09-2005 08:47 AM

#5 Georgia ran over #8 Tennesssee.

Go Dawgs!

littlebritches 10-09-2005 11:12 AM

Yeah UL won!!! They are finally hitting their stride.

I cannot wait until the Irish lose several games. The time I spent up there was horrible and I want them to lose! They think they are too good to be in the Big East for football, but can still get Big East #2 bowl spot - why is that? Either be in it fully or not at all.

That game was almost spiritual for us down here.

WTF? Overtime against BAYLOR?!? That game should have been over in the second quarter. Our defense sucks.

Actually, we were hoping to beat you on your own field, so yeah, we're pissed, too, but there were so many missed opportunities for touchdowns on our part that it was effin' ridiculous. Someone described the problem of the game like this: A&M has a quarterback without a team and Baylor has a team without a quarterback.

If you'd like to donate a quarterback to a poor team who bought their way into the Big XII...

...which is actually sort of a j/k because I don't get it, but somehow we're 4-1. We won something like our first away game in the Big XII against Iowa State, and even though they're not that great, either, hey, 4-1 is at least something?

And yes, anyone beating OU gives me the warm fuzzies all over. Alllll over.

I was drinking w a bunch of UT alums on Saturday. We called a truce and decided to make plans to party at the Rose Bowl. HA HA HA We ganged up on the UCLA and CAL and ASU fans. lol

TristanDSP 10-10-2005 01:28 PM

WTF did those fans do to you lol? They hate the team that UT will playing the Rose Bowl even more than y'all will.

Stan i will kick your ass from Bakalakakastan all the way to Manilla for saying that.

TristanDSP 10-10-2005 03:26 PM

Yeah, like it's gonna happen.

I seriously think Matt Leinart and Pete Caroll decided to stop trying in the first half to make things interesting.

I hope Maurice Drew runs all over the rich kids. At least USC fans can just ask their daddys for a new car to cope with a loss. We simple folk can only be so lucky.

It's more beneficial for all involved [but especially for ND] for ND to be independent, NBC makes tons of money broadcasting ND home games, ND makes tons of money licensing their apperal & NBC pays them money to broadcast their games, the Big East makes tons of money because they can get their teams another game on t.v. by playing ND, not to mention the money that they make selling tickets to the games.

Oh and by the way, ND should beat USC this Saturday.

TristanDSP 10-10-2005 06:07 PM

As much as I'd like to see Notre Dame beat USC.....C'mon, Matt Leinart passed for over 400 yards against the Domers last year.....hell yeah Charlie Weis is a good coach, but how can you prepare for that many offensive weapons?

You beat USC not by shutting them down in a low scoring game, but by outscoring them in a shootout. Only one team in the last three years did that and WON, and who knows if Cal or anyone can do that this year.

If Brady Quinn can pull it off, then Thank The Lord, but I don't see Charlie's coaching beating Pete's players....

Dear Cyclones:

You are seriously killing me this season. Yet again you manage to blow a lead in the 4th quarter and yet again we're in OT. And yet again did not produce. This is almost worse than the season we went 0-10-1.

BobbyTheDon 10-15-2005 08:01 PM

Does anyone know a good cardiologist for Amycat and me?

Well, they came within 3 seconds. What a great college football game!

doubleblue&gold 10-15-2005 08:19 PM

I dislike BOTH Notre Dame and USC so a close game is about as good as I could wish for. Notre Dame should have won but couldn't keep it together when it counted. USC got lucky when the refs reset the clock. Now I know why Reggie Bush doesn't get hurt---he runs for the sidelines.

Don't like them either but Texas should be number 1.

blueGBI 10-15-2005 08:40 PM

ONE SECOND

ONE FUCKING SECOND

I had an heart attack tonight.

At least PSU is 6-1 and not sucking royally like they did last year.

TristanDSP 10-15-2005 08:41 PM

Notre Dame showed that they're a Top Ten Contender and will be a Top Five in a couple years.

USC showed why they're the National Champions.

Who cares if LA doesn't have the NFL. You get THIS every week.

SDSU is up 21-10 on Utah.....Craft can't keep this up. Bring in Neuheisel!

What the hell was that all about.......hell yeah you needed a good cardiologist for the USC and ND game. My dad treats ND football like a religion ..... he however is in the hospital recovering from triple by pass and we all refuse to tell him or let him see the game after that last 2 minutes of it. i was screaming at the tv.....and i dont follow it ....... it was a heart attack kinda moment.

huh? what?

anyways. that was honestly the best college football game I've ever seen.

Weiss is a class act. After the game he went over to the SC locker room and to congratulate the team and hoped that they win the rest of their games.

The Green jerseys didn't work today but dammit they almost did .

Quinn is a hell of a QB.

Hey, but OC's Leinart aint so bad himself :)

Reggie Bush runs out of bounds only? Obviously you don't watch SC games much.

Bush wins the heisman. Gameball goes to leinart though.

Notre Dame stayed the same even though they lost. Just goes to show how good a game it was.

tinydancer 10-16-2005 06:56 PM

I was at the Texas - Colorado game yesterday, and the USC - Notre Damn game was not over when we were done. Everyone made tracks to the nearest tv - in the concessions areas, team store, alum center and watched the end of the game. The stands were empty but the under-stadium was full. People were sceaming and yelling so loud you could hear them 2 blocks away from the stadium.

Boy, were we disappointed (and I did NOT want to have to be for Notre Damn.)

PM_Mama00 10-16-2005 10:45 PM

Last night they showed that Michigan was now ranked higher than Michigan State. Why aren't they on the list?

PM_Mama00 10-17-2005 10:56 AM

Wow. I wasn't at the game but I did just see this on our facebook Michigan Football group. That's pretty sad that people have to act like this.

Quote:

writes: After the game I walked down by where that big mass of Penn State fans were, and apparently those bastards smashed up a bunch of our benches after they lost. There were huge sections of the bleachers missing, with pieces of wood all over the place. What the hell? Just cause we beat you doesn't mean you have to vandalize our stadium...
BTW... they're not that hard to smash either. A couple kids accidentally broke one a year or so ago just jumping up and down from a touchdown. So it's possible.

Quote:

Penn state has some of the most disrespectful fans I have ever seen in the history of Big Ten football. For some reason they were under the impression that a validated ticket allows them to sit anywhere they please, so that is how a big group of them got in the middle of the student section...that is BULLSHIT!!! Where is crowd enforcement when you need it. Not only that, but they were spitting chewing tobacco all over the bleachers, smoking in the middle of the stands, knocking our students over every chance they got, and I even got into a fight with one of them during the fourth quarter. I understand them being bitter, but there should be some level of respect for the fact that they were in OUR STADIUM, in OUR TOWN, and LOOSING TO OUR TEAM.
Assigned seating in the Big House is really really important, especially to the students because they work hard each year to get better and better seats. It's a whole seniority thing. It's not fair that somehow these fans got into the seats of those privileged to have student tickets. I'm not surprised that they got past security cuz crowd enforcement has been really bad. They pretty much don't care unless the aisles get really crowded. And smoking is a huge no no and why would you be that disrespectful in the first place?

Its not hard to get regular student tickets. People sell them all of the time. Michigan students shouldn't sell their student tickets to students from the opposing school.

Tickets for us sold out as soon as they went on sale. Its not our fault that we got into their student section.

Michigan fans need to stop whining. You won, get over yourselves. And they aren't innocent, they've trolled PSU related messageboards and basically become cocky over a last minute win. I was angry but it was a good game and I didn't hate Michigan fans until now. I can see why Ohio State hate yall so much.

UM, not so much.
