Terri – Next season, I would like to see Terri start her own practice and eventually take key, if not ALL business from her former firm to make them fold. I never liked them to begin with. I know Terri’s personality is strong. However, I always felt that the partners were extremely chauvinistic. If Terri was a man, would she have been scolded for her actions??? In light of this, I do believe that Terri brought on her own problems and should have paid more attention to the culture of the firm if she wanted to be deemed a valuable partner.

Byrd – I am not feeling her anymore! As the season progressed, her style fell off.

Lem – I’m glad they are starting to show him in a more positive light. I have a feeling some mess is going to go down next season

Tonight's episode was really good.

Kudos to Terri's acting once again with the scene where there were two Terris. I know it must be hard to be in love with Damon and want to help him but still having to help yourself.

I could feel Max's pain during the whole episode. I was shocked that she took the kids with her but I really think that Lila needed to see that Kenny and Max have a family and while the kids did not need to see that, it still showed Ahmad some things.

BIRD had on the God awfullest outfits today and her hair was looking a hot mess as well.

I am still mad that this was the season finale tonight though. I really am.

Tonights episode was off the hook!!

I cannot believe Christine killed herself. I mean, I think we all wanted her to go away, but I never thought she would commit suicide!! Initially I thought Damon was dreaming, but I can see that this will haunt him for a long time. I can't wait to read everyones comments on that one.

Now, the Bird and her 'friend'!! CTFU!!

The finale was HOT LIKE FIRE!!!

1. Damon: Proving it IS possible to be sloppy drunk and STILL SEXY AS HELL!! Christine---au voir....crazy wench!!

It was WAAAY to early to go over to Christine's house to offer condolences. What did he think was going to happen?

2. Terri: She's getting better at assessing herself since she's been in therapy. I love her understanding and taking care of Damon, without judging him.

3. Bird: Why on earth would she bother continuing hanging out with her "Bi" friend after she hit on her? And what was her FASCINATION with whether Lem had 2 women at once? Maybe she's satifying her OWN curiosity??? hmmm....

4. Max and Kenny: Max put on an award winning performance tonight. And I'm with her....beat that ITCH'S azz and ask questions later!! (but leave the kids at home!!) But why did Kenny lie and admit to sleeping with Lila, when he knows it wasn't true? That entire mess is an exercise in trust, and how it can be broken in an instant, even in a marriage of 13 years.

Can't wait til this summer myself!!

Ain't no man worth killing myself over. But I could see it coming because:

a) Damon was with another woman and she kept coming on to Damon anyway.
b) She knew she was "the substitute" and/or booty call.
c) When she realized that Damon didn't want to talk about having a serious relationship, she
d) Used a last ditch ploy of claiming pregnancy. So with no options left, she
e) committed suicide.

Damon (with his fine self) is going to need counseling too. He's seeing dead people. Ahmad talks to his dead grandmother (by the way, wasn't on this season). I thought he was dreaming at first.

I can't wait until next season!

I really wanted Max to whup some BOO-TAY!!!! I don't think she should've brought the kids w/her. I too do not understand why Kenny lied and not tried to remedy the situation. That was not a "Kenny & Max" move.

Bird definately surprised me and when did Shaq come out w/a clothing line? Did anyone else notice the outfit she was wearing w/his name on it (Hell, how could ya not have)?

DAMON made me really mad the way he treated Christine after she told him she MIGHT BE preggers. Whether she was lying or not that was no way to treat her. I was totally surprised that she killed herself! How 'bout kill him, not yourself Boo. She was very insecure.

I was proud to see how Terry used her own therapy revelation on Damon. I really like those two.

Last night I had a lot on my mind so I was not nearly as expressive as usual.

The whole Chrissy/Damon thing will teach Damon a lot. For one, he hurt someone who he loved maybe not someone he was IN LOVE WITH but he did love Chrissy in a way. Ultimately his rejection of her, propelled her to death which is devastating and will have lingering affects. Did you all notice that Damon is always behind someone's near death or death @ the end of the seasons? Last season it was Max, Kenny and Bird but this season it is Chrissy. It is definitely too soon for him to pay his respects. He may NEVER be able to do so with her family but he will be able to learn from this and grow.

I am really pleased with the insight that Terri is gaining from her therapy and how she is using that to help herself and Damon. I really think Damon needs to be going to get help as well. Terri likes to feel needed and that is where part of her panic disorder comes from. She wants to be the STRONG one but every strong person has their moments of weakness and this is hers. I do not want her to take on Damon as her pet project because that will only hinder her own therapy progress.

BIRD IS CONFUSED and CURIOUS. There is nooooooo way, customer or no, friend or no, that you would touch my breast and live to tell about it. BUT DID YOU SEE HOW BIRD DANCED WITH HER I WAS :eek: :eek: :eek: -- not a good move.

As far as Kenny and Max, that will take a lot for the two of them to sit down and communicate with each other.

I don't even know where to begin.

Ok the episode last night was hot to death...it was like an STD and was burning the hell up.:p

I can't believe this Lila and Kenny thing. First off why in the hell did Kenny confess to sleeping with that tramp out of anger? :mad: Lila's azz knows she was wrong, that's why she put that chain on the door when Max showed up at her house. I was like Max break the chain, but then again don't get to crazy because you do have the kids with you. Kenny and Max need to work this out. Let's be real, what man or woman for that matter doesn't dream of having sex with someone even if it is a co-worker. The fact of the matter is....Kenny didn't act upon it and he told "simple azz" that he was not leaving his wife and kids for her.

Lem and Bird......I don't know what to say about that. Bird is crazy. Why is she tripping off the fact that Lem has slept with 2 women at once. Lem has a past, and honestly I think most men may have done that in their past, and if they haven't they damn well wanted to. She is getting way over her head by going out with this chick Cookie. Now ole girl Cookie already said that she thinks most hetero people want to experiment, now Bird I think is just proving her CORRECT. She is about to bite off much more that she can handle.

Damon and Terri....Excellent on both of their parts. Now when Christine told Damon that she was pregnant, I was even tripping off how cold and heartless he was towards her. But like someone said earlier, he told that tramp countless times that he wasn't in love with her...but his comment of to be gone by the time he got back from the gym was......deep. I was like DAYUM!! :eek:

Max was way out of line for going to Lila's house, especially taking the children. If you want to kick some booty, start at home with your man. She lost major points in my eyes with that. Kenny & Lila had a mutual attraction for 1 another. Kenny never should have called her back to help in the office, his reasoning was for more then he couldn't get qualified help. Vird's young behind offered MAX bad advice, but I blame that on her age. But when you get a little older, you should learn you don't handle your business in that way.
Damon deserves to have mad flashbacks of Christine. He lead her on, simple.
Bird is curious...............get it out of your system bird, and let Lem's past go, it was before you.

I was glued to the tv last night y'all. GLUED! Where to begin...

I had a feeling that was what she was going to from the preview of him against the wall. She was way to desperate and insecure and trying too hard to hold on to a a man that really wasn't hers. That will burn your azz every time. Like someone else said, I wanted her out of the way but damn, did she have to die?

It was way too soon for him to go her families house. I understand that you are all grieving and you feel in pain and want to give comfort to them and be comforted but she killed herself in your house, the result of a horrible emotional reaction to her relationship with you. They are going to know that and can't help but blame you.

I was so impressed with Terri's progress. They have written her character so well over the last few episodes and have had her evolve in the most amazing way. She still has farther to go but I am still impressed. I wanted the shrink to say her to her that while she feels it is her job to be there for Max, Max may also feel that it is her job to be there for Terri.

I was so feeling Terri when she said to Damon that sometimes women get so caught up in how they feel about a man that they will do anything to be with him. Do anything for him and will stop trying to be loved for who they are but instead be loved for what they do. Who doesn't like having things done for them but a man letting you do things for him is not the same as him loving you. Woo-hoo! Been there, done that! And while he was not intentionally trying to take advantage of Chrissy, since Damon used her to fill a void and be his companionship knowing how she felt about him and that it wasn’t mutual it cost them both dearly in the end.

I was surprised at how cold they had him react when she said she might be PG though. My baby daddy is still FIONE as HELL!

And Max, Kenny and Lila...I knew the Bia Bia was going to trouble from the beginning. I can't believe Kenny let that lie hang out there like that. I just knew that he was going to tell her of course he did not do it. He was being sarcastic and exaggerating because he was mad. He needed to just fess up and take the hit for the actual truth and not let it continue to fester in Max's mind. It was going to be bad no matter what but he made it worse. Yes, he dreamed about her. I am sure he has dreamt about other women ,too. He needed to just admit that. Nothing happened. He needed to say that she hit on him and he said no. She left on her own. She is the one who is chasing not him. He needs to say that he loves Max and his family and would not jeopardize that for anyone everyday to Max until she can find a way to trust him again. He needs to suffer threw whatever until they an get back on track or else it will be OVER. (and I will be pissed about that. )

Bird, just straight OC. I guess she ahs some little fantasy of her own she is trying to explore. Not a good idea. The quickest way to mess up a relationship is to let other people get in it.

Yeah, I was not cool with the idea of Max going to Lila's, although I understand the feeling of wanting to beat her down. Even though logically he is the one you should be mad at, he is also the one you love. You don't have any feelings but negativce one's fo her so she is the one you want to beat down. And if you have any interest in keepng the relationship, you want her to know you know and that chit is over!

Taking the kids- very bad idea. Who wants to see Mommy go psycho?

Plus, if he is a cheater beating her ass down won't change that. Like Vivica said in Two Can Play That Game- If you want your man back always deal with a man. He's the one who did wrong and the one who needs to learn a lesson. Two women fighting over a man is just sad.

Max was just as wrong for going to Lila's as Lila was for going to Max & Kenny's! That heffa came to Max 's house, w/Max's father-in-law, sat at Max's table and ate Max's food while trying to make MAX's husband jealous!

I can't believe so many intelligent, educated women feel that beating the other woman's behind is the answer. Com' on ladies, don't degrade yourself to street tactics. Fighting over a man has to be the lowest form of your own self-esteem IMHO.

Last nights episode was definately the best of the entire season.

Max and Kenny~~ Now that is a hot mess. I can feel where Max was coming from and would definately have confronted my husband. But, now Lila KNEW Kenny was married and tried something anyway. Yea, she deserves to get her AZZ BEAT!! I hated that Max took the children, but as a married woman with children also, I would have definately confronted her myself.

Damon and Chrissy~~ Now, I wanted her to go away, but I never thought she would have killed herself like that!! About two episodes ago or so, they showed them about to get booty and then they showed the condoms. I thought then that she would try and get pregnant to try and keep Damon. She knew that Damon only wanted sex and a friend, yet she still hung around. The whole situation will definately make Damon grow up if anything.

Terry~~ Now that is a strong sister. I really the fact that she decided to get help and she is finding it with this new doctor. Even thought his methods can seem a bit eccentric, he is definately gonna help her. I just hope she will not become too dependant on that medication. I also like how strong she is being for Damon's sake. You go girl!!

Bird and Lem~~ They were off the chain this season. Her and her "Bi" friend...CTFU!! I mean, I have gay and BI friends, but I will be damned if they touch my chitty and get away with it. She would have come out of my chair with a very bad weave messing with me!!

I can't wait until next season. June seems like a long way away!! I hope I can hold on until then!!!!!

Everyone let us remeber the very first time Max read the letter in Kenny's office she asked him then and he said "NO!" he did not sleep with her....I think Max in her own mind had it made up that he slept with Lila......So in order to satisfy what she wanted to believe he said yes later.....I do not agree with it but men do that, tell a woman what they want to hear even after they told them the truth because some women refuse to believe the thruth.

Sphinxpoet is so right. Even though he actually didn't sleep with Lila, he told her that to stop the argument. She believes in her head that he did, so she would never believe him when he says he didn't. And it really didn't help that Lila was acting all guilty like something "really did happen," by telling Max to go talk to Kenny.

Why does the season have to be over? I love this show.

Now, I am completely with Maxx for driving to Milwaukee to see Lila. I was LMAO when Bird said she would "beat the "b-s" a$$ and ask questions later. As a married woman, with children, I completely understand. Now, I would have gotten a babysitter for the kids and all, but she was driven by her hurt and pain and just did what she had to do. I was surprised that she didn't kick that door down and beat Lila's "He-She" lookin' behind down.

Christine was completely crazy. Now that's some serious fatal attraction. I was hoping that the coroner would come back and say whether or not she was really pregnant. I suspect NOT, but we'll have to wait until next season. Damon had me LMAO when he was outside her door calling her name with his drunken behind. Brotha man is beyond fine. Now, they're both going to be living up in that house together and they're both going wacko - he sees dead people and she's having panic attacks.

Terri...I am so proud of Terry for helping Damon out. For the first time in a long time she wasn't acting like a straight binch.

Damon...my poor Damon. I didn't think Christine would go out like that. I figured she would trash his apartment especially with the tone and attitude he directed towards her when telling her to be gone when he got back but suicide...I was tripping. He will get over it because Terry will be his shoulder to cry on and his relations partner to relieve the tension.

Maxine, Kenny, Lila, dem Kids.......Mostly every woman's first thought is to kill the mistress first then deal with the husband. I think Lila should have been woman enough to talk to her since she was bold enough to eat, drink, and be Merry in Max house.
Now she shouldn't have taken the kids but like she said she was going to Wisconsin so the kids had to go with her. Sometimes we are quick to judge but sometimes a woman has to do what a woman has to do and Max HAD to bet that skank down.

Kenny shouldn't have lied. This is going to cause more problems because no matter he says from this point on will not matter because he LIED in the first place.

The kids won't be messed up for life because I am sure they will see worse. Poor Ahmed almost saw his Uncle Miles and cousin so so screwing on the Studio (first espisode) and his Aunt Terri about to stab her own cousin....so that was not the end of the world.

Why did Terri want to stab her own cousin? Is this from the original movie or Showtime show.

My commentary on Wednesday's show, which was, as everyone else has said, was off the CHAIN!!

Bird is straight trippin!! When they were at the club I knew something was going to be up with that! I was like "why she puttin her butt all in homegirl's stuff??" I think she is way more than curious and we will see that next season.

Max was wrong as two left shoes for going to Lila's house! I could see a "heat of the moment" kinda thing, but you would think that in the 2 - 3 hour (I think that's how far it is) trip to Milwaukee she would have realized how much she was trippin. As triflin as Lila is/was ( going to the woman's house! :eek:) Max's beef is with KENNY--her HUSBAND. HE is the one that stood up before God and their families to say that he promised to love and be true and all that jazz. Kenny needs to be a bit more contrite IMHO. I agree with spinxpoet's reason for him telling his little 'lie', but he was acting like Max just came out of the blue with that! Naw brother, you need to come all the way clean, beg, plead and take your lumps to try to put your marriage back together. I tell ya though, I had tears in my eyes when they were both cleaning like crazy people and Max was sitting huddled under that blanket.

Christy/Damon....whew! where to begin? I did not see that coming. Like others I cannot believe Damon was so cold to her when she said she was preggo. Terri's little insight to him on the bed was just so dead on. I wish I had taped that part so I could play it back for friends from time to time. I think there is going to be some kind of legal issues behind this next year. I think there will be some kind of investigation of foul play.

OK. I finally saw it. This was definately off the heezy. I knew she killed herself, but that way that she did it was ... oh my goodness. She actually covered herself up so that he wouldn't know it until he rolled back the covers. Damon acted like a complete jerk with her though. Yes, he told her that he didn't love her from the jump, but it still doesn't relieve him of responsibility when he realized that she loved him and he continued to use her. Then to be so cold to her after she tells him she thinks she's preggers. He did a complete 360. I think this'll scar any future relationships he will have. And now with Terri attempting to cater to him... creepy. I was like ... Terri, nooooooo! The last woman that served him is dead.

But when he threw up all over the bed.... it would be time for him to leave.

Yeah, Max should've started with Kenny (his simple behind), rather than going to Lila's house. However, in the words of Chris Rock... I understand. Come in my house, eat my food, smile in my face.... :rolleyes: . Like I said b4, Kenny shouldn't have even gone to that game with Lila. Did Max know about THAT? What, a DATE? And then to tell that ... woman... that you're having dreams about having sex with her? Ewwwww. What did he hope to accomplish? Then to say he did it.... Hmmmmmmmm. That was just pure dee dumb. Then at the end, when he was missing his wife I was thinking, see, you compromised your happy home for Mr. ED. Was it worth it?

Hello Sister Friends....

I've read a lot of the responses and I'm going to add my 1920 cents worth. But first......It's Wednesday....WHAT AM I GOING TO DO AT 10:00 P.M.???? :p

OKAY.....

1) My favorite line: "Stop it Walter....Stop it.", said by a Fine Azzz drunken Damon.....then he turns over and goes to sleep!

2) I knew from the JUMP that girl was CRAZY....DERANGED....I told my Man the first time I saw her...."She Crazy." Her suicide....I saw that coming.....When someone is THAT much in love with someone....ALL common sense is GONE. Since he told her early on that he wasn't in love with her.....like some of you have said....she went to the next level and claimed a possible pregnancy. BUT.....I must say....Damon was DANGED COLD the way he responded to her. I had to pick up MY face for her a couple of times. I know this may sound ill, but she did what he asked....."Please be gone by the time I get back..." and so she was.

3) What on EARTH was that thing hanging off of Byrd's left shoulder in the scene in the kitchen with her and Lem? Was that a scarf attached to that top? nooooo....it MUST GO!!! I know she is curious....but who knows with those two....ANYTHING is possible!

4) Oooooh Chil'.....:eek: :eek: Max and Kenny..... Yes my first reaction was to go to Ms. Lila and "talk" to her....but that wouldn't solve anything. First of all......let us go way back....when Ms. Thang first came to the scene. Kenny was having communication problems with Max because of his injuries. He rather speak to a total stranger than his wife, which started the feelings of admiration from Lila. Then the ballgame....Okay.....I wouldn't have mind IF it was during the day....and he told Max about it FIRST. BUT to go at NIGHT....then the trick kissed him??? WRONG.....NEXT he went to her house? Remember that? To tell her what....he can't do anything with her.....so she tried a Chrissy....I LOVE YOU.....I'm IN Love with you.....Girl pleazzze. Then she quit....and I don't remember him and Max discussing her resignation at all. YES...he was WRONG to tell Ms. Lila that he dreamt about her...NEVER tell another woman/man that you dreamt about them! TROUBLE waiting to happen.....and it did....which brings me to the present. Kenny told Max he didn't sleep with Lila, but she wasn't hearing him. =taking a deep breath= :rolleyes: We will see what happens next season.

5) Terri.....I'm glad for the progress she is making with this new doctor. As was said earlier....the first person to shut her up! I think that her and Damon will get back together in the near future....her helping him and in a way he helping her....she didn't start having these attacks until after her and Damon broke up.

And Last But Not Least....

When is Max's "baby" going to walk....talk and grow up? Her Baby....is what....like 4 or 5 now....why is she still being carried???????? The movie came out in 1997 I think.....Max gave birth then.....FIVE YEARS AGO.....Byrd gave birth in 2000 when Soul Food The Series started.....So that means that Jeremiah is about 2 now....okay....he can still be carried....but not that other one.....Get off the hip and on the floor and WALK!

Last night as I watched the re-runs I got confused. Can someone please tell me what happened with the car accident involving Kenny, Bird, and Damon. What was the plot? Also I noticed that Damon played in Love & Basketball. He is the college boy that took Monica to her hs dance did ya'll know that?

Yup sure did.....and He is Still Fine!!! :D

The accident happened when they were on their way to church for Ahmad's Baptism. Max suffered an injured arm, Damon cuts and bruises and some internal injuries....not serious though.....Bird had some major bladder issues....she's fine now and Kenny was seriously injured. He was in the hospital the longest with a major back injury. The weren't sure if he was going to get back to his old self again. He had intensive physical therapy to help him with walking around and doing basic things. Maxine ran his business for a while while he was out.

I think that's about it.

Good news for all the Lem fans...

Someone told me that they saw an episode of OH DRAMA! where "Lem" was up there. They asked him something to the effect of what was his #1 fantasy & he stated that he's had them all (ok.... that'll open up a can of worms...) but that his #1 would be when he could just spend 100% of his time with ....... his wife. Apparently they asked him if he'd found her yet and he said not yet.

Can anyone else confirm this?
