Good Times, the remake?

The Chicago Red Eye, an entertainment paper, printed this tidbit about a remake of the Good Times TV show for the movies.
Here's a suggested cast list:
The "Good Times" are rolling again, thanks to a new deal that will
bring the '70s sitcom to the big screen.

Variety reports that after unsuccessful attempts by Wesley Snipes, Babyface and Magic Johnson, a company called Creative Production Group finaly secured the rights for the show, which follows a family living in the Chicago projects. No actors are attached to star just yet, but RedEye has a few suggestions:

JJ Evans Dave Chappelle
Thelma Evans-Anderson Meagan Good
Keith Anderson Mike Brown (you need a real Chicago Bear to play
a Chicago Bear)
Florida Evans Queen Latifah
Michael Evans Usher
James Evans Ving Rhames
Penny Woods Janet Jackson (Sure, she's a little older, but
c'mon)
Willona Woods Vivica A. Fox
Nathan Bookman Cedric The Entertainer

Lil Kim will be in the next issue of Source Magazine with Michael Jackson on the front, ironically. She talks about plastic surgery. She explained that she got her nose done twice because her ex-man (whom she dumped last year) would abuse her, severely. She talked about when she first got her boobs done. “I’ve had the black eye, bloody lips, busted nose. I came out of the hospital from getting my nose done and he broke my sh** again.” When she discussed her breast job, she said P.Diddy tried to convince her otherwise. “I’ll never forget telling Puffy I was going to get breast implants. He cursed me out. He was like, ‘You buggin!’ He went to everybody in my family. And after I got everything done, he was like, ‘Damn, you look good.’” Lil Kim is also in this months issue of Sister to Sister magazine. She's defending the pictures of her with a swollen face and said she was out and about after surgery, and the swelling hadn't gone down yet. There are pictures of her in Sister to Sister minus the swelling that Kim claims is her desired look.

YEAH RIGHT.....

Single rapper MISSY ELLIOTT is too busy making music to have time for a boyfriend.

The WORK IT superstar insists her career is too important for her to make time for a love life.

She says, "I'm probably one of the busiest people in the industry and if I did have a boyfriend he'd be cheating on me because I'm never at home."

Furthermore, Elliott, 33, thinks she'll always be single: "I don' think I'm into the whole marriage thing. My mother had a dysfunctional one and although I realise that not every marriage is like that, I've learnt to depend on myself.

"I think I'm too stuck in my ways to have a husband. I'd drive him nuts screaming at him if he left his socks lying around."

It's supposed to be the Best of Both Worlds for Jay-Z and R. Kelly, but three weeks into their resurrected tour in support of 2002's joint album, The Best of Both Worlds, the two artists are being dogged by reports that they're worlds apart.

Here's what I don't understand about the whole Star and Starina thing........Is she really gung ho to marry the particular indivudal, or is she just trying to get married?????? I've seen way tooooooo many unhappy marriages that get started b/c someone just feels like they have to get married by a certain age. I even had to wear a hideoulsy ugly bridesmaid dress b/c my cousin had to get married b4 she was 30  Guess who got divorced not even 5 years later????:(

Starina? Why not just Alicia?

I also don't understand why she's marrying this man who has had sextracurricular activities with other men in her past. She's a millionaire TV personality and has a lot to offer. Yes, I know good brothers are hard to find, but this just smacks of desperation.

Dang what did Star ever do to Rosie?

Finally, Rosie spent an inordinate amount of time at the end of her speech
cracking jokes about THE VIEW co-host Star Jones, suggesting that the
daytime diva's weight loss was not the product of "diet and exercise," but
of plastic surgery:

"Star Jones is my body double. She's getting smaller every day. I'm telling
you ladies, it's diet and exercise. [Rosie pauses giving disbelieving look,
then makes popping noises as she motions around her body implying plastic
surgery] No problem, [singing] 'I believe in dissolution.' Okay, that's
fine. She's alright. She's married to some guy, it's fine. Ah huh. Yeah. The
thing is -- it's fine, it's alright, leave it. What do I care? I don't even
watch TV in the day... He is a cute boy. And I'm gonna leave it there
because I see that camera rolling. And all the Kerry thing will go away and
it'll be 'Rosie O'Donnell Attacks Star Jones!' And in the Enquirer it'll be
'Crazy Lesbian Goes Insane At A Kerry Rally.'"

Saw this on another site...

Will Prince's new video make the controversy over Eminem's Michael Jackson parody "Just Lose It" look like child's play? The eccentric rocker has tapped Oscar-nominated "Whale Rider" actress Keisha Castle-Hughes, 14, to play an Arab-American suicide bomber in "Cinnamon Girl," reports the Hartford Courant. The song's lyrics include the lines: "Cinnamon girl, mixed heritage/Never knew the meaning of color lines/9-11 turned that all around/When she got accused of this crime." "Well, she's Maori, so she's up for racial tolerance," Keisha's manager tells the Melbourne Herald-Sun. The paper says Prince "handpicked" the teen for the role.
