U of Manitoba

Quota at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) was 3.

Response was very good as opposed to years past, and although several women couldn't make preference (which dropped quota), the COBing is looking good.

(I used to work with this campus :))

Alpha Delta Pi (Beta Theta) - 3
Alpha Gamma Delta (Beta Gamma) - 3
Alpha Phi (Beta Eta) - 3

Campus total is 30, unknown what current chapter sizes are.

TSteven 09-23-2004 05:06 PM

If I count correctly, Sigma Sigma Sigma at Murray State (Alpha Chi Chapter) made quota (25).

I don't know if this has been said yet, but at the University of Louisville in Kentucky the quota was only 24.

azdtaxi 09-23-2004 11:10 PM

AGD results from the LJ Community

Delta Sigma (University of Hawaii) -- 14

Theta Omicron (Western Carolina University) -- 7

Theta Nu (Virginia Commonwealth University) -- 11

Zeta Gamma (Gannon University) -- 7

Theta Pi (Lambuth University) -- 8

Eastern Michigan University results

Quota was 9. Five chapters took quota after snap bidding: Alpha Xi Delta, Sigma Kappa, Phi Sigma Sigma, Alpha Sigma Tau, and Sigma Delta Tau.

Sigma Sigma Sigma took 8 after snap bidding.

Delta Zeta and Alpha Gamma Delta each took 7.

67 women signed pref cards, 65 were matched and the other 2 were snap bid. While that sounds terrific, 151 women signed up for recruitment initially, so a lot of women dropped during the process or were cross cut.

I only have Delta Zeta's results, but I can see if I can find more - DZ pledged 26 and quota was 25. That's the info I received anyway!

Does anyone have any information about how UNC-Wilmington Rush went?

I'm THRILLED to report that we ARE NOW up to 10 new members - quota was 20!

Here are the #'s for the others:

Alpha Xi Delta- 15
Delta Gamma- 20
Delta Zeta- 21
Alpha Phi- 18
Chi Omega- 18

In a nutshell, there were some problems with ICS Recruiter (this is our 1st year using it) that caused alot of groups not to make quota. ALL chapters will doing COB b/c some didn't make quota and only 2 of us are at total. and I think it's a good opportunity to get alot of girls who were AWESOME but intimidated by formal rush. Panhell did acknowledge the issue and is allowing us to start COB early

Whoa, what happened in Louisville? Quota seemed to be hitting the high 20s-30 range in recent years there.

I had received a report that quota was 48 and DZ had pledged 49 at Louisville. I guess I need to double check that!

AOIIalum 09-27-2004 03:47 PM

I do know that quota usually ranges in the mid to high 20s at Louisville, and I believe the all-time quota high was right at 30. The numbers I was getting mid-week were in the mid-high 20s (before quota setting).

reverie 09-27-2004 04:06 PM

Dickinson College in PA is:

Delta Nu (local): 29
Kappa Alpha Theta: 31
Kappa Kappa Gamma: 32
Pi Beta Phi: 21, but then took 9 snap bids for a NM Class of 30.

ETA: Kappa's Number.

I think this is a common thing because I know when I went through formal, I hated it. It is very intimidating especially to girls who aren't sure if they want Greek Life or not.

Adelphi University (NY) update! It was one of the most successful recruitments we've had since I've been here. 31 bids were signed!

Tri Delta - 7
DG - 9
SDT - 8

There was also a lot of Freshmen interest. I can't wait for the spring!

Western Ontario

I don't know all the details, but quota was 17 (lower than last year). AGD and one other group took quota. That's all I know so far, but will edit if/when I get more information.

Is 17 "normal"? Quota was higher at a lot of Ontario schools last year because of the two classes graduating together.

GreekGirl604 10-05-2004 12:51 AM

URI RECRUITMENT!

I just got back from 2nd round and wanted to share my good news!

About 300 girls signed up for recruitment this year...a little lower than last year, but quota is being estimated at about 18-20 right now, so it's almost the same as the last 2 years (17 last year, 20 the year before).

Sigma Kappa invited back 157 girls and 120 of them returned today. We had a 90% return rate of girls who wanted to come back after 1st round (including those we didn't invite back)!!! After 2nd round we decided to invite back 98 of those girls...usually houses will see around 80 or so girls for Prefs once all of the schedules have been put together.

Prefs are on Wednesday and bids go out at 5:00 on Thursday, so I'll let y'all know what happens!

OUlioness01 10-05-2004 10:45 AM

Ohio U results

for Ohio University I know that AOII has 21 new members. I do not know what quota was, but in hte past it has been in the 38-42 range. Both AOII and Sigma Kappa will be holding informal recruitment events soon, and i should know the results of the other chapters later this week.

Buttonz 10-05-2004 11:28 AM

Brooklyn College Results:

Quota: 5

SDT: 4
AEPhi: 4
AXiD: 2

Out of 13 girlsi nvited to pref, 3 didn't show leaving 10 girls in the mix, but we do quota by the number of girls that came to at least two rounds of rush and are invited back.

Re: Western Ontario

I will ask my sister who just moved back home. Our former Alum chapter president (who was a charter member of the Alpha Phi chapter there) just moved back to London, ON

If anyone else knows please post results from Western Ontario

Ohio University results

quota was 32 which is much lower than usual

AGD, Fuzzie, Pi Phi, Sigma Kappa, DG, and Chi-O made quota.

AOII=21
DZ=28
and i'm still not sure about ADPi

I'm not sure what happened with ADPi...this is the first time in years they haven't made quota and pretty much everyone is confused.

ADPiSAI 10-06-2004 05:05 PM

Bishop's University, Lennoxville, QC, Canada:

Alpha Delta Pi - 6
Alpha Phi - 2

Quota was 5.

AAgammagirl 10-06-2004 08:07 PM

i believe quota has been extremely low at Western (UWO) the last 2 years. last year quota was 20 and previous to that i believe it was in the 30's-40's.
i, too, am interested to hear how recruitment went as this is the 1st year with 5 sororities instead of 6 since Gamma Phi closed last year.
Note: this campus does not have a panhellenic advisor. 2 alumnae from each chapter meet as a group and do bidmatching.

How did ADPi do? If you'd rather PM me, please do.

Also, Pitt's ADPi's are up to 16 - which is Quota and Total!! This is the first time they've done this for as long as anyone can remember, and we're terribly proud of each & every one of them!! They came back to fall recruitment 5 years ago with only 12 sisters, grim determination, and as one of the EO said, "the attitude of the little chapter that could"!

Hope that can inspire other chapters!
