Halle Berry recently moved into a Malibu estate ($7 million) overlooking the ocean in the super exclusive Malibu Colony, not far from Janet Jackson's former residence and down the street from Johnny Carson. The colony is the most prestigious address among celebrities. Berry is currently working on her memoirs.
According to the New York Daily News: It was a faceoff between MTV and rapper Lil Jon at the Video Music Awards. Producers got nervous when they saw the butt baring outfit that Vivica Fox planned to wear during the performance of Lil Jon's "Get Low." MTV thought Vivica's outfit could end up as another Janet Jackson type of incident, they threatened to evict Fox from the theater until Lil Jon insisted, if Vivica didn't go on, he wouldn't either.
Uptown Model Management (based in New York) has become the top African-American modeling agency in the industry. They celebrated their one year anniversary last night with a lavish party at Club Deep, publicist Joy Doss of (JD/PR) did an excellent job organizing the event. Celebrities, athletes and models were in attendance along with publicist Jennifer Rosario (Selective Entertainment). Uptown retains a roster of 50 multi-ethnic male and female models including Ebony Haith from UPN's "America's Next Top Model." Uptown was founded by Trevor Julien and Jason Gardener. Their models are featured in ads for Diane Von Furstenberg, Old Navy, Essence, Ellen Tracy, Iceberg Jeans, Jill Stuart and UPN9. The agency plans to launch a TV division in the near future.
