I don't watch regularly but I remember an episode with a 'raw-itarian' chick (she even made the cat vegetarian) who was trying to find a way to get all of her nourishment from the sun. The guy she got swapped with told her that African kids have all the sun they want but they are still starving. She's like "oh, I guess you have a point there."
I was ROTFL! BTW, I was flipping through the channels, saw Zorro and thought that Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta Jones should do a wife swap (permanently). |
As a dental hygienist for 11 years, let me say I hope to NEVER see that family from Iowa in my dental chair!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Although I did not watch the episode, I am from Iowa, and there were many articles in the local newspapers yesterday about the episode. Apparently child services was inundated with phone calls and emails after the episode aired, but they are not going to do anything because "it is not against the law for peoples houses to be dirty or for them to have certain food beliefs." Also, they were able to prove that they have paperwork registering the children to be homeschooled and a certified teacher from the West Des Moines school district monitors the childrens progress and according to her, they are learning what they need.
I wish I would have seen the episode though...:( |
^^^No they did not say that people can live in NASTY homes!! They must not have seen the BLACK stained toliet I saw, nor the rotten meat they had stored in dirty jars!!
ETA: That was funny when dude broke down in the bathroom LMAO |

KYquietstorm wants to know: Anyone watching? |
I was fussing and screaming at the beauty pagaent family the whole time. Hopefully, the daughter will eventually evolve into more of a person that knows what she likes rather than a beauty queen who knows what the judges like and score highly for. And I don't recall my parents' doing any of my projects for me. WTH?
I cheered for the feminist family most of the time because I loved the young girls being empowered. The feminist mom could've stood to appreciate looking pretty without being objectified because there's a healthy balance between looking and feeling good about yourself. Whoever said you can't have both at the same time? The outcome was pretty nifty. |
