You know I all for having a strong belief system and a healthy dose of faith....but those two just take it WAY TOO far

Go Chip and Kim!!!!!!

GeoffZ 09-01-2004 02:11 AM

I haven't liked Brandon & Nicole the entire race, but they won me over tonight. I don't want them to win or anything, but it would be ok if they made it into the top 3. That's crazy how they had back-to-back non-elimination rounds.

I know he is playing Colin, but Chip's kissing up to him is nauseating.

everytime they say that, i think of you:p

Agreed. I haven't really cared much one way or the other about Brandon & Nicole, and are still solidly cheering on Chip & Kim. B & N just rocked tonight. Sure, it's superficial, but they are actually models and depend on their "look" for their jobs. Shaving their heads would definitely have some negative career/financial considerations for them. They put each other's needs first, over the game, and their actions from that point on supported that decision. Yes, I know, the editing could be just as responsible, but give me my happy reality-tv world for one morning before they get eliminated for real. We know it's going to happen to them, probably next week, because Calcutta is a lousy place to be left with no money and have to get through the game.

Now if the heavens would really interfere and somehow keep B & N safe next week and send a bit of karma down to Colin & Christie instead. That would be excellent reality TV!

Sister Havana 09-01-2004 12:59 PM

It does seem kind of cruel for them to have to beg in Calcutta. *heh*

And any time Colin and Christie want to stop coming in first is fine with me. HATE.

Check out the AC/DC shirt.

I seem to have a hard time keeping his name straight as I think he looks more like a Brandon than a Colin. No matter what name he might be called, he is a full time jerk. Can't belive Christie as not left him in the middle of a desert somewhere

That's the funniest thing I've ever seen. I thought maybe they modeled for like a Bible catalog or something.

I agree...hopefully they'll leave soon! :p

ADPiShannan 09-02-2004 08:51 AM

Dont kill me lol, but Colin and Christie are my faves. I hope that he isnt like that in real life, but I really think its the race. I know how I am when I am STRESSED and SOOO mad. I told my hubby how much Id love to do the show, but Im betting people would absolutely HATE me just like you have them.

Why cause I am like that. When I get mad, I have a BAD temper. I get the screaming from my mom and the temper from my dad so I cant fault Colin for getting mad. I totally AGREE he shouldnt take it out on Christie as its not her fault, but I cant say bad things about them because I do the same thing. I yell at my hubby even though I know its not him, its MUCH easier to do that then to yell at someone else you dont know. It gets annoying to see them come in first all the time, but they are a strong couple. I do think Chip and Kim are very strong and are great contenders to win. I mean, theyve overcame soooo much already. I just think that they are much older and have been married for a while, they understand each other and have mellowed out a bunch from when they were young. Thats what makes them so good, they dont have a temper, but not everyone is perfect and doesnt not have one. Plus younger people get more frustrated with each other and themselves. I know I hope I am more like Chip and Kim when my hubby and I are older, but right now were still young and I still have a temper that hasnt mellowed out so I dont fault Colin for being an ass sometimes. I know Id look like one too if I was on there.

I do agree he was sooooooo petty to not just give them the 100. I mean so what if the guy drove on a spare the whole time, they had to pay him. He should have listened to Christie and gave the guy the money and been done with it. As much as I love them and want them to win, I have a feeling they wont. At some point you get yourself so stressed or mad you just quit and I think that may happen with them.

Im still rooting for them, but if they cant win, go Chip and Kim.

I am ready for the twins to go. Ive been ready since Charla left. I cant take the twins anymore.

smiley21 09-02-2004 01:20 PM

ADPiShannan- i am rooting for colin and christie too. you are not alone:)

ADPiAkron 09-05-2004 02:08 PM

I am rooting for Chip and Kim-- or the BOWLING MOMS! They are so cute and determined! I could never imagine my mom or my boyfriend's mom on there-- so I give them major props!! I cannnnnnnot believe that the model couple (their names just slipped my mind) were not cut! I never thought they would do 2 non-elimination rounds in a row! Maybe the producers felt bad because of the issue with the fast-forward-- that was a little extreme!!

valkyrie 09-08-2004 12:32 AM

They need to stop playin' like that, editing everything so it looked like Chip and Kim were thisclose to losing to the evil pointy chin twins. But woohoo for them being gone, and if ONLY it would be Texas butt and her crappy boyfriend next, I would be SO happy.

I would be happy too. I really would like to take Christie's Texas shorts and BURN them. I know they only have so many clothes to wear but I see those damn shorts in EVERY episode. :o

GeoffZ 09-08-2004 02:46 PM

For a second I thought Chip & Kim were out of the game. I was so happy when they popped out of that Range Rover.

I'm still rooting for Brandon & Nicole. It seems God is too.

Please let Colin go home next week. I had to mute him and his "Woohooo's". Spare me.

SATX*APhi 09-08-2004 03:01 PM

I do not like Brandon and Nicole. They need to be the next to go. As for the Bowling moms, the blonde-headed mom, I think her name's Linda, seems to hold it together. I think they will go after Brandon and Nicole and it will be between Chip & Kim and Colin & Christie.

polarpi 09-08-2004 04:00 PM

Really, the only group that I would be excited to see win now is Chip and Kim. The twins, while they did stupid things, made me turn in each week to laugh. I can't stand listening to Colin's woohoo's, Christie's butt shorts....words on the butt do not look cute, people!, Karen's "I don't think I can do this...", Linda's yelling that they gotta go very fast (thinking more of last week's episode than anything else), & Brandon and Nicole just bug the crap out of me.

In other news, I was wishing I was the one going down in the hill in that Zorb or whatever....that looked like SO MUCH FUN!!!! :D

DeeGeePrincess 09-08-2004 09:40 PM

omg. i hate colin...i havent been following that much but whenever i watch colin is just such a cocky jerk!!!! i cant wait for next weeks episode...so hopefully that couple's team spirit falls apart!!! hahaha.

im rooting for chip and kim and the bowling moms...
nicole kinda looks like christie and christie is with colin...so im not really rooting for brandon/nicole...hahah

smiley21 09-08-2004 09:54 PM

next week is funny cause colin and christie are at it again. colin even says, 'oh my god, i hate you'

AXO_MOM_3 09-09-2004 07:55 PM

I think the bowling moms are pretty awesome for staying in it this long, but they jump on my nerves at times! I also like Brandon and Nicole, and find it refreshing to see a young couple that puts such faith in God. I love Chip and Kim and think they are great! I really don't care who wins at this point as long as it is NOT Colin and Christie - I am sick of them!

I suspect we'll see a lot more prayer from them, after it "worked" in the mud challenge.

smiley21 09-15-2004 06:19 AM

last night was too intense. i cannot believe that all four are competing for the finish line. ususally, it is three. i was so mad at colin for losing it. but now they are still in it. i want him and christie to win. i am one of the few that still likes them even though they bicker. i like them cause they are smart. the one team i don't want to win? the moms. they just annoy me.

Bait and switch commercials. Turned out to be the ox he was talking to.

What little respect I had left for Colin and Christie -- and they started out this race as my favorites -- went out the window last night. What supreme, and way over-confident, jerks. I can't decide which was more pathetic, Colin's interminable sulking about "I can't believe they used the yield!" (someone remind me never to play "Sorry" with this bozo) or Christie's trying to get the taxi driver to go faster by telling him "They yielded us, they cheated." News flash, Christie ... this is a contest, and if something's allowed by the rules, it's not cheating. If I were that taxi driver, I would have been driving fast just to get rid off these two maniacs.

Wait a minute. Most pathetic moment? Colin and Christie in the mud field, with Colin yelling at the ox that he is trying to lead from behind and Christie saying "there's nothing I can do." I hope they felt appropriately stupid when they realized that in all of the other teams, one team member pushed the plow while the other led the ox.

So mad that last night was a non-elimination round. Knew it probably would be since there were supposed to be four, but I kept hoping.

Sistermadly 09-15-2004 09:45 AM

I missed this last night because of recruitment  -- someone just tell me if they made it to Vancouver this round. I can't wait to see that one! :)

I was hoping that they would be eliminated too. I was  when Phil said they weren't.

Sistermadly, they didn't get to Vancouver yet. The Pit Stop was in Manila, Phillipines.

GeoffZ 09-15-2004 02:14 PM

I wish it had been a non-elimination round last night. I'm so glad Chip yielded them. The look on Colin's face was worth it. And I agree that Christie was full of it when she said C & K weren't playing fair. Um, check the rules. The yield is part of the game. How much of a biotch has she become? Telling the taxi driver to run over pedestrians. Nice.

Chip and Kim must win. But, I'll be happy with anyone EXCEPT C&C.

<hijack> Hey, bcdphie! *waves* I saw you late last night after the last round of parties was over, but was too tired to do much more than sit there in a stupor. :D</hijack>

valkyrie 09-21-2004 12:19 AM

OMG. I finally watched last week's episode (I put it off until now because I found out what happened and wasn't so excited about seeing it) and I no longer feel bad for Christie. She's just as awful as Colin and they deserve each other.

Chip and Kim better win, and if not them the bowling moms. Last time the crappy people won and it sucked, so this time it has to be someone good.

GeoffZ 09-21-2004 03:17 AM

The show won the emmy for Best Reality Competition Program last night. Colin & Christie and Mirna & Charla were interviewd together on the red carpet. Mirna even said they were all "one big happy family". Yeah, riiiight!!

Christie looked great! SO did Chip & Kim. I also saw Brandown in the background. They all cleaned up pretty well. I wonder since Colin and Christie were interviewed, was that a hint as to who won?

Yay for Chip & Kim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

mu_agd 09-22-2004 07:05 AM

i was pulling for Chip and Kim since early on so i was excited for them! plus collin and christy really got on my last nerve and i was hoping they didn't win. i did feel really bad for nicole when they were trying to bike down the hill though. that looked difficult.
