The thing is, they SHOULD HAVE lost.
The Kings were up by 10 with four minutes left to go in the game, and then after coming out of a timeout (which was a great job by the T-wolves coach by stopping the tempo) and the Kings lost their rhythm, but there was also some really weird officiating going on as well. When the T-wolves allowed the Kings to come back from a 10 point deficit after halftime, that should've been the clincher that the T-wolves were going to lose. But, it's okay. The Kings are going to come out tomorrow night ticked off with everything that went on, and they'll win tomorrow night and Wednesday night in Sacramento. They just wanted to give Bobby Jackson the chance to play in this series (supposedly he'll be back to play in Friday's game) |
Like Sam I can sell
Like Latrell I hit three's real well The Kings were out played in the last four minutes, pure and simple. The Wolves just want it more, and the 'pack is going to run through Arco. We took two there this year, and we are going to do it again! The Twolves own Arco, 'nuff said. |

Twolves looked very shaky during Game Two, and I think because the Kings shut themselves down in the fourth quarter is the only reason that this series is tied up rather than the Kings leading 2-0. And I've said it already, the Kings are going to be PISSED off and come out with a vengeance. It happened in the last series versus the Mavericks, and look how that series ended up? :) |
T-Wolves are no match for the Kings! Sac-Town represent!
|
The Lakers woke up yesterday and slap the Spurs around. Tim Duncan was a non-factor scoring only 10 points and Tony Parker couldn't do anything. New Jersey came out on fire and wallop the Pistons big time. It was a good day for Home Court Advantage on Mother's Day.

The 350-pound-plus Daddy was hustling, making his high percentage shots, blocking Spur shots, and playing intimidating defense. I'm not willing to say that the Lakers are back in the series unless they win Game 4. And that excellent effort I saw yesterday needs to translate to the SBC Center. |

I never saw Shaq hustle so much. I guess the "Kryptonite" was removed and He went back to being Superman. :p Phil Jackson was right when he said that the Lakers are not out of the wood yet. the pressure is still on them. |
GO KINGS!
although I am probably going to miss the game again. I will root for the home team, but I just never got into this sport... |

Kings and T-wolves played a amazing game last night. and Minnesota still won in O.T.

Doesn't look like it's just a Kings problem now, does it :p Looking forward to tomorrow night, and see what adjustments the Kings will have made  |

The Wolves are too much for the Kings to handle |

Tonight : Spurs vs. Lakers. looking forward to that.

Lakers-Spurs game 4
Exhausted Kobester, albeit with 42 points.
Inspired Diesel, with 28 points, 14 boards and three blocks. Equals victory, but they had me sweating in the first half. I think my blood pressure went way up. I'm still wary. San Antonio is a great team and will give the Lakers all they have and more. To defeat San Antonio, the Lakers have got to have the pressuring defense, swarming, etc., and translate it to the SBC Center. That's what worries me about not having the home court. |

That was an *amazing* game, and now it's a best of three series....I wonder who'll take it :D GO Kings! |
AHHH, I am so excited for the Spurs-Lakers game tonight...I can't wait to see my boys kick some Laker ASS!!! (At least they better...;) ) :D

Twolves, holla at Latrell Spreewell!

Nice but not done just yet
Yes, I have a tight little smile on my face this morning. The Lakers showed they can throw the switch on and win four straight (helped, of course, by Derek Fisher and a timely shot).
But there are still eight wins left to go before a new championship trophy can be hoisted. I'm pleased that the Lakers closed the Spurs out in six games for rest purposes. And I have no preference whether the Lakers play the Kings or the Timberwolves (although I think they can steal a game at the Target Center). Also, I don't want to see the Lakers come back from another 2-0. The West is too good a conference. Shaq didn't score as much as I like to see him do so, ;) :p but he provided great board work, blocked shots and caused some altering of shots. Other than TD, no Spur starter stepped it up. |
Kings taking T-wolves to a Game 7....outstanding.
Garnett should've been ejected as well. :p  |
Quote:
As much as I love him, I WISH he was ejected. However, he let his cooler head prevail and was able to stay in due to a technicality. Favorite moment of the game... Saunders was able to select who would shoot the free throws and he selected the benchwarmer to shoot and he sunk both shots. YAY!!!!! |

If Peeler is suspended for the next game, and Garnett gets to play, I think it might actually work in the Kings' favor and get them fired up to beat the Twolves even though they were "punished" for the shot Peeler made on Garnett (even though Garnett provoked the shot, and he probably should be punished as well!) |

I said this was coming
NBA suspends Peeler for two games. KG, with his $126M contract, symmetry, and mad game, gets a $7.5K fine.

Yeah, but when Miller was putting his hand in his face, he didn't really show that inner calm, now did he? Quote:
Many other players do similar (if not more damaging) blows to one another and are not fined, never mind suspended. Kings are going to come out pissed off....and you can bet BJ will do everything he can to be back in the lineup for Wednesday's game. :p |
Quote:
The Peeler decision doesn't seem just, but remember, the NBA is a league of stars and I have a feeling (putting on my conspiracy hat here) that David Stern didn't want to deprive the viewing audience of the new league MVP for a pivotal Game 7. :p |
Quote:
Your theory makes sense, but I still think it's going to give the Kings the incentive to dig down deeper than they've ever dug before and pull out the game of their lives to defeat the Twolves and then face the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals....IF that doesn't happen, I'll become a Eastern Conference cheerer (because I don't like the Lakers and I can't find it in myself to CHEER for them, even if they're facing the Twolves :p) |

Okay, what the h*** is up with the refs? They can only find the whistle when the Kings "foul" the Twolves (yes, I'm using quotation marks because there have been a number of fouls that didn't really exist), and they're letting the team that (paraphrasing Cassell's comments from before the game) doesn't commit hard fouls, doesn't do dirty fouls, etc, etc beat the s*** out of the Kings?
Also, aren't commentators supposed to be neutral? Doug Collins and Kevin Harlan are the most *un*neutral commentators I've ever listened to (and their comments add NO VALUE to the game) and there's no way to contact them to tell them what you think or ask them questions....grrrrrr    ETA: Okay, I really think the refs were told to call the game this way....how good is it if the League MVP isn't in his conference finals? Minnesota has thrown elbows (toward the face), shoved people while running down the court, touched the ball in the backcourt, etc, and NONE OF IT HAS BEEN CALLED! It's sad that the Twolves need to have the refs in their back pockets in order to win a game. :p |
