I have the Treo 650. I'm jealous of you black princess! :D

It's all good though.

mulattogyrl 12-01-2006 12:02 PM

You guys have all these fancy-schmancy phones. I just got mine because it was chocolate, lol:

I am trading in my Audiovox Pocket PC for a Motorola Q.

*Patiently awaiting the arrival of FedEX....*

BlessedOne04 12-01-2006 12:18 PM

I have a Motorolla V500 series and I love it. The feature I like the most is the size of the phone. It fits in the palm of my hand!

OK... so I've been wanting this phone for ages now . . .and yesterday, I finaly got it.... the Treo 700wx. :D

http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...mah/sprint.gif

The only problem is that some programs and appications are waaaaay over my head right now. At this point, I'm learning to navigate it ok, the touch screen is a good touch, and I can make calls, but my head is swimming right now  trying to figure out some of the other stuff, especially how to get some of my Windows Media Player songs I have stored on my pc to become ring tones on my Treo . . :(
Anyone out there who can help??

This phone and the THREE booklets and CD that came with the dam seem like they came straight from NASA's space program. I love it, but it looks like it's gonna be a long while before I'm comfortable with it. I guess this is what they mean by be carful what you ask for.

:D :D :D I had a breakthrough yall . . . I figured out how to set my laptop music as the ringtone for my phone . . .who knew all I needed to do was to 1: use the storage card from my digital camera, 2: put than into my phone, 3:use the "Active Sync Software" to synchronize the music on the pc to the phone (the music is saved on the card not the phone itself), 4: then from there I could just hit the "add" button on the phone (in the "mangage" portion of the sounds/notification section) and start adding my hot new ring tones . . . . . whew . .I told you all this was some NASA stuff . .but thank goodness I was able to figure it out . .
I'm starting to bond with this phone already :p !!!!!

The 8525 is a very nice upgrade over the 8125. If you live in an area where you have UMTS/HSDPA, it will have broadband type speed when you browse the net.

raggann03 12-01-2006 06:32 PM

I have the LG Chocolate. Paid a bundle in August cause I didn't want to wait until October to upgrade and besides it was my birthday :p
Anyway, I'm mad they now have more colors to choose from and its like super cheap. But I must admit I just love the way it looks. Talk time sucks though

SummerChild 12-04-2006 11:51 PM

I have a motorola phone that I got for FREEEEEEE! Who hoo! I looked on the internet and there are always tons of offers for free phones when you sign up for service. Just print out one of the coupons and you're good. Mine is a small, lightweight flip phone.

I have the 650 and I like it but I won't upgrade until they make them thinner. The only thing I hate about Treos is that you can't just slip it in yolur pocket and roll out because its so thick....its just me and my jeans are too tight. :p

I do like that Blackjack though...so I'm anxious to see what sprint has to compete with it (especially in size)

nikki1920 01-08-2007 09:32 AM

I got the Blackjack too for Christmas/Bday.
My only complaints so far:
no instruction manual came with it (manual is on CD rom) and I had to take it back to the store on day three of ownership b/c it wouldn't let me send text messages. Simple SIM card swap, but still. That should not have happened on day three.

I'll be good once I can figure out how to actually play whole songs on it..

this is my christmas present to myself

Do you think it is thinner/lighter than that Treo?

nikki1920 01-09-2007 10:18 AM

Mom has the Treo 680 and the Blackjack is definitely thinner and lighter than her phone. I'm still amazed that she picked the phone out all by herself.. lol.

DigitalAngel126 01-27-2007 12:27 AM

Just because I'm lazy, I'm not linking or uploading a pic, but I bought the new Sony Ericsson K790a CyberShot...it's pretty neat, you should google it.

lil_sunshine 01-28-2007 03:02 PM

I only have one complaint about my new phone....

I can't create a slide show for my display when I flip my phone open. I read my manual backward and forward and I still can't do it!!!!!!

But a sista couldn't be happier that it's Bluetooth compatible!!!

AKA2D '91 03-19-2007 07:26 PM

I got the Pink Razor phone. No mp3 and all that EXTRA stuff. It's an upgrade. My LG all but died today. I have 30 days to decide if I want to keep the pink phone. I may get the black. Cingular takes too long in the store, so I doubt it. :D

NiaX 03-19-2007 07:33 PM

I am gonna be lazy.. and just state the phone...

I have a Motorola Q... via Verizon.

Sprint has the Q as well, but you have to go on the site to get it only.

ziasha07 03-19-2007 07:39 PM

I got that Samsung A900 and I love IT! Except for the amount of memory it has (which can be rectified by getting the 2900 model instead) it's great.

I have a pink razor phone with a pink bluetooth. My husband gets all of the cool gadget phones. Not fair.

RitaMae1908 03-20-2007 07:17 PM

I have the Q as well. I like the phone and functionality but the software (Windows Mobile 5.0) really bites, especially the time management piece (tasks, calendar, contacts). However, I recently found some software on Handango called Agenda One that integrates your appointments, tasks and contacts into one package. Very nice!

See.. I am a cheap sista... and when ever I go on Handango, stuff cost a bit. And I don't like that... but how do you create a ringtone? did you record it on your phone or did you pay for an upload? I have some songs I uploaded to my phone but the recording isn't as crisp as I would like so that is why I want the actual download to be the ringtone...

akaladyppd 03-29-2007 05:52 AM

I have a LG fusic. It's the mp3 phone, of course with sprint. I really don't like this phone. When my memory card is 3/4 full, I phone restarts on it's own. Or when I get an incoming call and a text comes in at the same it shuts of again. Overall sucky phone lol

1908Revelations 03-29-2007 08:42 AM

Anyone with a BlackBerry Pearl!!!!!!! How can get music on my phone (for instance I want to use a song for a ringtone) using the USB port?!? Feel free to PM me if you know how. I might just stick with my 'T-Jingle' tone!

I have recorded my own ringtones but you can also download (through syncing with your computer or directly from a website that you browse on your phone) any sound file (.wmv for example) and save it as a ring tone.

I just upgraded from the 2 to the 3 and I'm loving it also. I love how much thinner than the 2 it is!

I know this was months ago but...did you ever figure that out? If not, I can clue you in.

mccoyred 08-13-2007 07:50 PM

My son got the Chocolate. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to borrow it for a couple of days. This phone is the most confounding device I have ever encountered. Yeah it looks good and sleek but the buttons are too small and they are neither real buttons nor touch screen; its like you touch a place on the phone and its a button. To top it off, the navigation is far from intuitive. Hated it!!

Back to my Q :D

abaici 08-14-2007 11:28 PM

I have a Pearl. I really haven't had the time to learn how to use it. I've set-up two of my email accounts, but I still don't know how to place it on vibrate.

SummerChild 08-15-2007 01:43 AM

I had a Motorola flip phone. No bells or whistles, just voicemail and dialing (or at least, that's all I knew how to use). The top broke away from the bottom so now I have a cheap Nokia. I'll unfortunately likely be getting a crackberry for work soon. People who carry crackberries *voluntarily* and are not forced to do it for work don't know how good you've got it! :)
Oh well.

Charmed1980 08-16-2007 12:58 AM

I had the Chocolate for like 4 days. I returned it and got the Motorola Krazr (Verizon).
