Political Parties

Pro-Military Veteran with Honors...I'm a right wing conservative all the way.

Cheers!

shinerbock 06-27-2006 11:20 PM

I know this is probably a shock to any who've read my posts, but I am a republican as well. Mitt Romney for President 2008.

macallan25 06-27-2006 11:32 PM

Haha....same.

DeltAlum 06-28-2006 03:31 PM

I think I'm going to join the Druid Party and hug a tree.

I'm a Republican.... since a very young age.

macallan25 07-12-2006 12:50 AM

Far Right Conservative on my quiz.

RU OX Alum 07-12-2006 01:15 PM

I think left wing/right wing is B.S. Why should the seating arrangements of the French Assembly monopolize discourse 200+ years hence?

shinerbock 07-13-2006 01:06 PM

Just because it is outdated from its original meaning doesn't mean it doesn't hold relevance as an indicator of political leaning today.

DSTRen13 07-13-2006 05:29 PM

My quiz said "liberal" - and probably by national standards I am. Unfortunately, by the rather conservative standards of my current environment, I seem to have been labeled far-left. (Because, you know, if you don't eat red meat, you don't worship Bush, and you --gasp-- talk to gay people, then you must be some kind of horrible DEMOCRAT :p )

shinerbock 07-13-2006 05:33 PM

Now the not liking President Bush and talking to gay people may only indicate a liberal. But the not eating red meat? Yeah, you're off the chart liberal.

Adelphean 07-18-2006 01:42 AM

I'm a yellow-dog Democrat and a voting member of the Young Democrats of America. http://www.yda.org

GAC3710 07-26-2006 12:55 PM

Poll Time, let's see where we stand

State your party affiliation:

Democrat.

AlphaFrog 07-26-2006 12:56 PM

If you care to go to the top of this forum...there is an entire thread STICKIED there that is all about party affiliations.

macallan25 07-26-2006 01:57 PM

Republican

Kevin 07-26-2006 02:40 PM

Still Republican

-- but it's a poor indicator of where I stand. I tend to side with liberals/libertarians on social issues, while on fiscal issues, I stand a little to the right of Attila the Hun.

Atilla would have been against a medicare drug benefit.

RACooper 07-26-2006 04:25 PM

Progressive Conservative - Monarchist

shinerbock 07-26-2006 04:30 PM

Republican.

shinerbock 07-26-2006 04:31 PM

I change my vote to Dixiecrat.

ZetaLuvBunny 07-26-2006 04:36 PM

LOL me too.

However, for the record, I'm sick to death of democrats who think statewide smoking bans are a good idea.

Statewide smoking bans -- one reason I love to visit Colorado.

irishpipes 07-26-2006 08:42 PM

Oh. Okay. I oppose gun control and the 17th amendment.

OrchidAlum 08-23-2006 03:57 PM

Strong Democrat here. :)

KSigkid 08-30-2006 05:48 PM

Republican - more conservative on fiscal issues, more moderate/liberal on social issues (for example anti-death penalty, pro-choice).

BobbyTheDon 09-03-2006 10:37 PM

I'm all about Republicans baby!

Throw the snacks in the bag
and I'm ghost like SWAYZE!

Nick Letcher 09-18-2006 06:00 PM

Libertarian, but registered as a Republican

scbelle 10-09-2006 11:06 AM

I'll have to go with Democrat here-- both of the parties get on my last nerve, but stomping on people's individual rights like the Right does really sticks in my craw. More so than willy-nilly spending. But both scenarios are bad. When will the Southern Democrats rise again?? :D

shinerbock 10-09-2006 11:21 AM

Stomping on individual rights...like gun control?

chitownxo 10-09-2006 09:00 PM

I vote for both, but I lean a little more toward the Democrats. Usually, I tend to vote for whomever I think is lying the least to me.
