Go Dawgs! The really wanted to prove the LSU loss was a fluke. Bennet got his confidence back too bad it wasn't in UGA's last game. So far UGA has knocked out Alabama's starting QB and second string. Hope Bama doesn't lose the 3rd or they are in trouble.

PM_Mama00 10-04-2003 07:38 PM

Boo to the Iowa player who butt his shoulder right in Loyd Carr.

Props to the camera man who got the money shot of the sign that read F%$# Michigan. Altho I don't care for the sign, rarely ever do we get the opportunity to view the REAL college football experience on television.

bethany1982 10-04-2003 08:53 PM

My team won today... but my baseball team lost.

valkyrie 10-04-2003 09:39 PM

GO HAWKS!!!!!

That is all. I had to pay like $15 to watch the game on pay per view, and it was WORTH IT!!!

I watched a little bit of the game and the few minutes I saw the entire time I looked like this

Colorado has beaten a couple of pretty good teams, but frankly in my opinion haven't looked that good all year.

Better than some, not as good as many.

Good but not great.

Kevin 10-04-2003 11:44 PM

I'm pumped for next week. OU vs. Texas. Hope to be one of the many painting the West End crimson and cream.

I hope the ISU QB is okay after tonight. He took lots of abuse. Coach should have taken him out earlier than he did.

I want to become a Colorado fan since I live here and all, but I don't think it's going to be easy. At least I have the Broncos. ;)

The1calledTKE 10-05-2003 02:16 AM

Tennessee falls to unranked Auburn and next week the play UGA. Poor Tenn but still GO Dawgs!!!

AUDeltaGam 10-05-2003 02:19 AM

Yeah DA,

I kind of thought that CU was pretty iffy this year, and i think they got exposed by Baylor.

as for A&M and ittech. Get your lumps in now, Big XII. This will be a rough year for us, implementing a new system and our defensive cupboard is bare.

Next year we'll be better, and, mark my words, Coach Fran will have the Ags back on the national scene by 2005. Rebuilding is a bitch, but i have faith in Fran to lead us to where we want to go.

So, raiders, huskers, sooners, whorns, enjoy your victories, there is a new sheriff in Aggieland, and with time, he'll be ready to start cleaning up the Big XII

Kitso
KS 361 times you gotta say, hey, at least Kitso's realistic about this season and optimistic for the future.

MereMere21 10-05-2003 10:12 AM

oh what a wonderful day! Auburn wins and Alabama LOSES! WAR DAMN EAGLE BABY!

As long as A&M beats Texas this year, I'll be happy :D

AlphaSigOU 10-05-2003 10:40 AM

Sooners mop Iowa State off the floor...

What an a**-kicking... 53-7!

Next week: OU - vs. Texas.

'cause out there where she lives, it's not part of the regional TV feed. So, die-hards hafta resort to PPV. :)

ShaedyKD 10-05-2003 11:28 AM

Yesterday the South Florida Bulls won their first home Conference USA game in double overtime 31-28, taking our home winning streak to 21 games. Louisville was tough, but we sent those Cardinals packing, with the winning field goal scored by Santiago Gramatica. Right after his kick, we rushed the field, (which was pretty awesome considering we play at Raymond James, where the Bucs play)...it was a great night for USF!

GO BULLS!

And the "7" was almost a fluke. But what the heck was going on the the first quarter? When I tuned in, I think it was 3-0 toward the end of Q-1.

Then, all hell broke lose.

If I still knew anyone at ESPN, I'd be all over their case for that kickoff time!

Us old guys need our rest.

i missed the trip to hockeytown last year - my dad and a bunch of my buddies went. sucks though, would have been nice to see that game.

michigan has sick talent this year - do you think carr's just not getting the most out of it? i mean, those quasi-fake punts were silly, and probably lost the game. . .

it was an ugly game either way, but still a good win for the hawks.

UGAnchora 10-05-2003 05:15 PM

Vols and Gators lose! All's right with the world!

See you next week, Vols!!

No, no. Ohio U. is playing Central Florida next week, not Toledo.

NAMES, people! Initials only tell the story in your part of the country.

His punting was HORRIBLE! The whole game I kept wondering if Loyd put him up to it, by why the hell would such a great coach do that? Pirates don't play like that!!! (Loyd is part of my high schools football history!) They've been doing a kickass job at home, so hopefully next Saturday's game won't be as much a disappointment as this past one.

The Big XII is all that matters, it has the most and higest ranked teams of any conference.

In my opinion OU is ALWAYS the Oklahoma Sooners, Ohio is just the Ohio U. And UT is a no brainer...

AND OU WILL BE FRYING UP SOME LONGWHORENS NEXT SATURDAY!!! MMMMM, BEEF!!!!

Until Ohio wins 7 NC's, we'll just all assume that OU = Oklahoma:D

I think they've earned it.

At least when you talk football.

To you, perhaps. Allow me to point out a couple of things. First, I televised Colorado Football for years, and probably know more than most about the Big XII. But I've also lived in Big Ten, ACC, Big East and other conference territory. I grew up in Columbus -- a fairly well known college football town.

Second, Ohio University was O.U. about 65 years BEFORE Oklahoma was founded around 1870 as I recall. Ohio is celebrating it's Bi-Centennial this year, having been founded in 1804.

Third, I have a son who attends Oklahoma, so my comment wasn't a put-down in any way. I could have said the same thing about Oregon. Where I come from, OSU is Ohio State and Oklahoma State isn't even on their radar.

I've used this story before, but I think it makes the point:

My wife and I both graduated from O.U.

My son attends O.U.

My daughter graduated from O.U. after spending two years at U.N.C.

Translated, that means that my wife and I graduated from Ohio University.

My son attends Oklahoma.

My daughter graduated from Ohio University after spending two years at the University of Northern Colorado.

See how some might be confused by the initials?

My suggestion is that, like the journalism schools teach, the full name should be used first, then the abbreviation (letters) can be used. Then nobody will be confused.

Having said all of that, I think the Sooners should destroy Texas -- but on any given week, strange things happen.

Edited to say that I have taken my fellow Ohio University Bobcat alumni to task for the same thing.

Sadly, as a Gator fan, I have to now agree with the waiting-for-basketball-season feeling. Stupid stupid stupid Ron Zook is killing our team. You guys should have beat us last week.

Auburn: 10
Arkansas: 3

PiEp299 10-11-2003 04:07 PM

Good thing the refs helped you out on the worst penalty call I've ever seen

PM_Mama00 10-11-2003 04:10 PM

Michigan shocked me last nite.

Navarre and Edwards need to be on teh same page at ALL times. Sometimes I think that they're reading different books.

The1calledTKE 10-11-2003 04:16 PM

The hogs lost that will knock them back in the polls lossing to unranked Auburn. I think Auburn should be ranked even though they lost a few games they should have won.

FSU lost too so much for the predictions of a undefeated season. FSU still has to face Notre Dame and NC State. Granted both teams suck this year but it will be great games. I believe NC STATE has beat them what 3 years in a row now?

PiEp299 10-11-2003 04:34 PM

auburn is def. a top 25 team...here's hoping everyone above us loses at least once.

WAR DAMN EAGLE BABY!

A&M beat Baylor 73 to something, OU is kicking the crap outta the longhorns - if Alabama had lost it would be a perfect weekend :D

PiEp299 10-11-2003 07:20 PM

Hopefully alabama only has one 2 conference losses by the end of the year and auburn loses to LSU or UGA, then we win the west if we beat LSU day after Thanksgiving....

by the way Kitso congrats on the A&M victory....73 points what the hell was that about?

The1calledTKE 10-11-2003 07:22 PM

Lsu falls to unranked Florida. Now if UGA beats Tenn, UGA should be the top ranked SEC team again.

real teams don't do that.
