I have been reading all the rush threads, not posting much. I just had to say that Amandamarie's thread has really touched my heart.

Amandamarie...you've shown such spirit and optimism all along, and I am so proud of you for finding the positive in your situation. I really hope that you are having an amazing time today.

I have been following this rush thread since it began, but this is my first post on the thread. This afternoon as I played catch up from the last few days, I got more and more excited as I clicked onto each new page, hoping I would find out if AmandaMarie found her new home. Oh I think I finally understand why so many people are addicted to this whole GC thing. Oh can't wait to here from AmandaMarie!!!

Ok, the suspense is OVER! I am now a proud new member of.....Alpha Phi!!! I've been out celebrating with my new sisters! I really think I'm going to like it. I got my ivylinker today (like the first stage of big sis) and I absolutely LOVE her! If they would have had her rush me, I would have been completely sold! Also, some of my good friends from my PX group are A Phis too! We took pictures, did introductions, and then went swimming at the chapter advisors house. I just got back from a celebratory dinner with my mom, and I'm on my way to go watch movies at the house. Only down thing is, our bid day shirts are bright green! Ack, totally not a good color on me! :p But yes, you all were correct in assuming no news was good news! I'm pretty shy, and it's going to take me awhile to completely open up, but I really do think I was given a second chance for this house on purpose. Also, I found out that a new sister of mine is a lurker on my thread! Eeeek! So other GC PNM, be very careful about naming names and the details you give. Anyway, thanks for everyone's support, and I'll be sure to update you as the new member process unfolds!!
