Don't you wanna be a KD too? I haven't gotten that chant out of my head in 15 years! I also really like the stars next to the K on your official logo!

I still have the " I am a P, I am a P-I, I am a P-I-B-E-T-A-P-H-I!" chant stuck in my head. :)

My turn~

Alpha Chi Omega - I love their lyre, and their pin is my second favorite (guess my first???).
Alpha Delta Pi - Their headquarters is in a historic home, which I love, and I too like the "diamond" hand sign they do.
Alpha Epsilon Phi - I love the giraffee, and they have their 100th anniversary coming up in 2009.
Alpha Gamma Delta - Syracuse triad! I love their three colours, and every time I see a squirrel I think of them.
Alpha Omicron Pi - beautiful headquarters, and the panda is so cute! (Unofficial or no)
Alpha Phi - Syracuse triad! Love their colours, and the ivy and big dipper. I love their "little dipper" program for legacies.
Alpha Sigma Alpha - love that flaming chicken! So many great ASAs here on GC - and they have a wonderful chapter close to here at Murray State (and yet we have none in our alumnae panhellenic ...hmmmm:rolleyes:)
Alpha Sigma Tau - the anchor is not just for DG, y'all!
Alpha Xi Delta - cool crest, colours, and they had a great chapter at my alma mater.
Chi Omega - X and a horseshoe - Chi O! My mother-in-law was (she is deceased) a Chi O.
Delta Delta Delta - I know tons of wonderful Tri-Delts. Love how they incorporated so many of their symbols into their headquarters, and I love the mural of the founders there.
Delta Gamma - Anchor Splash is a brilliant idea. I like "Do Good" - simple and direct.
Delta Phi Epsilon - "to be rather than to seem" is a wonderful motto.
Delta Zeta - have a terrific historic house at my alma mater. Love the turtle, and tied for girliest colours with Phi Mu!
Gamma Phi Beta - my own true love - I love our crest, our badge, the crescent moon, our colours, and the fabulous women I am privileged to call sisters.
Kappa Alpha Theta - the kite is so unique. I love the boldness of their colours and their crest.
Kappa Delta - Kaydees! Every Kappa Delta I've known has been so much FUN - don't know their membership criteria but it must include great sense of humor and fun to be around. Love the trunk which held all the important Alpha chapter documents - seeing it, so small and humble, in the midst of the gorgeous big new headquarters gives you a real sense of what they (and we all!) have acomplished.
Kappa Kappa Gamma - I'm so happy that I ama . .. the fleur di lis is so pretty, as are their colours and the key is distinctive.
Phi Mu - think pink! The quatrafoil is unique - and ya gotta love that pink golf cart at HQ.
Pi Beta Phi - colours are so beautiful,as is their crest. I love that it is a lozenge because it is a women's fraternity. Literacy is also a cause close to my heart, and I love the history of Arrowmont.
Sigma Delta Tau - they are so good-humored about all the "Eat" remarks - love the torch.
Sigma Kappa - I love their dove, and their colours. When I was gathering materials for my alumnae panhellenic's first information tea they could not do enough for me. I knew a great Sigma Kappa in San Marcos - I'd love to see them back at Texas State!
Sigma Sigma Sigma - A Sigma's Life for Me! The skull and crossbones is spooky - but with the current pirate mania they've finally come into their own (kinda like Gamma Phi Beta's brown - FINALLY we are cool!)
Theta Phi Alpha - love the compass as a symbol - and that they were founded so Catholics could have a sorority home.
Zeta Tau Alpha - the other house I preffed. "I hear the call of Zeta . . ." has stuck with me all these years later. The crown is so cool - and the colours are beautiful. I like the chain of chapters, and that each one is a link.

Alpha Chi Omega-i absolutely love that the lyre is their badge, because i'm a musician!

Alpha Epsilon Phi-founded by seven jewish women...i find that amazing...and giraffes are my FAVORITE animal by far!
Alpha Gamma Delta-their motto is great, especially considering what time it was founded around..."Inspire the woman, Impact the world." i just find that to be a very great motto.
Alpha Omicron Pi-very cool that they don't have a crest, just their flower. and i love that their jewel is a ruby, because most sororities use pearls and diamonds.
Alpha Phi-i like that their philanthropy is cardiac care, and was the first on the web!
Alpha Sigma Alpha-i like that they have so many colors! and their philanthropy is really cool.
Alpha Sigma Tau-i absolutely LOVE their flower, and i love anchors..and i really like that the mothers get pins!

Delta Delta Delta-my roommate is a tri-delt, and i absolutely love her to death! i find it cool that the pine tree is one of their symbols.
Delta Gamma-i absolutely love anything and everything nautical!! they were the first and only sorority to name a type of rose...the delta gamma cream colored rose!
Delta Phi Epsilon-i love the colors, and their motto is really neat.
Delta Zeta-this will be biased, just know! delta zeta has changed my life for the better, and has taught me to strive to be more than the average person. i love my sisters, i love my house, and i like that we have a MILLION songs to sing during different special events! our badge is so pretty, and i think it's pretty cool that florence henderson[mom on the brady bunch!!] is one of our alum. and the turtle is now an official mascot, as of last year! i'm so proud to wear my letters, and i love the traditions we have!

wow...that was interesting...and now, back to boredom...: ]

Fleur de Lis 01-10-2008 01:38 PM

Alpha Chi Omega - I like that the founders were creating the first and last group of it's kind, so they choses the Alpha and Omega as their first and last symbols. A friend just pledged here, and it has made her college experience so rich already.

Alpha Delta Pi - my first experience with sororities was from two ADPis. They were both some of the classiest women I know and had an absolutely amazing house. It made me want to be in a sorority. Thanks ADPi! It's also pretty amazing to be able to say you're the first. :)

Alpha Epsilon Phi - Ruth Bader Ginsberg as an alumna is something to be proud of! And the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation is a fabulous organization to support.

Alpha Gamma Delta - Wow - the widest spread active chapters of an international sorority! I also like your focus on healthy living and seeking "To develop and prize health and vigor of body".

Alpha Omicron Pi - I think it's wonderful that your symbols and rituals (so I hear :) are based on greek traditions, rather than Roman or Masonic. I also LOVE the red! And AOII has a great reputation of class.

Alpha Phi - growing up, my whole bedroom was ivy-themed. If only Alpha Phi were at my school, I'm sure I would have joined just for that!

Alpha Sigma Alpha - I like the open motto Aspire, Seek, Attain.

Alpha Sigma Tau - I like the idea of a national philanthropic service project (Habitat for Humanity). And it's so easy to find cute stuff with anchors on them!

Alpha Xi Delta - gorgeous badge! I think it's interesting you have exact instructions on how to wear it.

Chi Omega - the largest sorority and they also have love for the owl. :) I like the separate New Member website with all kinds of information. "The first secret was that Chi Omega didn't have any secrets. The founders wore ribbons tied together on their blouses to tease the boys. The colors of the ribbons were olive and crushed plum. Why? Because they were the ugliest colors the founders put together!" Too funny!!

Delta Delta Delta - When I was looking into recruitment, I thought that Tri-Delta was THE sorority to be in. I am amazed by the number of successful and famous alumnae. I like the pearl, pine tree, and pansy used to note the stages of membership.

Delta Gamma - a very diverse group of successful alumnae - from Joan Lunden to Ann Coulter to Patricia Heaton. And the anchor is SO in right now.

Delta Phi Epsilon - You also have love for the iris! That is my favorite flower. I think the PEARL program is great, with it's focus on development in the 5 S's: Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Social, and Self.

Delta Zeta - I love Joy Behar on The View. :) I also like that The Lamp features a little information from each chapter, so you know what your sisters are up to around the country.

Gamma Phi Beta - every sister I know is smart, fun, and friendly. The Crescent also has a great article about the Millenial generation and they seem very in touch with the collegiate woman.

Kappa Alpha Theta - everyone wanted to be a Theta during my recruitment. They always did things different, like stand up when everyone else sat or serve cider when everyone else had cokes. I think this extends to your membership, as all the Thetas I've met are very classy, together women.

Kappa Delta - A friend in high school had an older sister who was a KD, and she was so smart, gorgeous, and together, I thought KD must be THE classy sorority to have her as a member. And I'll always remember the colors (which I love!) because her room was covered in KD stuff.

Kappa Kappa Gamma - IamsohappythatIama! Kappa means more to me than any other organization I've been a part of. I'm always amazed by the support and encouragement I get from my sisters - locally and nationally.

Phi Mu - I think the quatrefoil is such a classy symbol! I also think it's great you can shop the carnation collection right off of the website (and there is some really cute stuff!) I also love the recruitment signs that say "welcome home" with a phi instead of an O in "home."

Phi Sigma Sigma - we share the sapphire with you! I love your vision: Phi Sigma Sigma is a dynamic sisterhood of powerful women fostering uncompromising principles, igniting positive change, and embracing individuality. Very powerful!

Pi Beta Phi - I just realized this was the first NPC to "go national." I have always wondered about this and think it's an amazing fact to claim! Plus, the Monmouth Duo always has a special place in my heart.

Sigma Delta Tau - Many dear friends of mine are SDTs. I also preffed here and was very tempted to put them first. :) I like that The Torch is easily opened online, and it's filled with SDTs doing great things and calls to action for helping out locally to nationally.

Sigma Kappa - your website is so easy to navigate and full of useful information. The Virtual Violet is a fantastic idea - a monthly email newsletter where alumnae can keep in touch on a local and national level.

Sigma Sigma Sigma - I love the sailboat symbolizing continual forward motion, never moving backward, but progressing towards its destination. And it must be so easy to get paraphernalia in the summertime. :)

Theta Phi Alpha - What an amazing creed! "justice to each fellow man, wisdom in each deed and plan, loyalty to every friend, faith that sorrow can transcend, truth to God and self, honor valued over wealth..." If only we all strove to live by these words.

Zeta Tau Alpha - I volunteer with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and local Zetas are a huge part of our support team. Thank you Zeta!! I also adore the five-pointed crown as a symbol. And collegians get Self magazine as a membership benefit??? Wow!

ComradesTrue 02-22-2008 05:16 PM

Time to resurrect this thread- it is great!

Okay, like everyone else, of course I love all aspects of my own organization. But in the spirit of the exercise, I have put aside all personal biases.

Here goes:

Alpha Chi Omega-I love the musical influence of the founding of this organization; Mary Ann from Gilligan’s Island was an Alpha Chi

Alpha Delta Pi- never thought I would actually need a Ronald McDonald house, but lo and behold… when I did it was there, and I was very thankful to the many supporters and contributors who helped make it a reality. I am also in awe of the vision that the Founders of this organization had… and if they had any idea of what GLOs for women would become

Alpha Epsilon Phi-I like the history of the founding. Oh, and it can claim both Dinah Shore and Charlotte Rae!

Alpha Gamma Delta- I like the way it sounds (just rolls off the tongue) and I think the way the letters look together is the best. One of the better websites.

Alpha Omicron Pi- It’s very memorable that the color, flower, jewel, etc are all red.

Alpha Phi- when it seemed a “foregone conclusion” to many which would be the two chosen organizations to colonize at Bama, Alpha Phi clearly came in and rocked! Way to go… your presentation must have been very impressive, and the selection well deserved. Best Wishes to you! Also, I love it that there is an “official” constellation!

Alpha Sigma Alpha- beautiful Creed and a classy website

Alpha Sigma Tau- great philanthropy and I like that each chapter can choose another philanthropy to support

Alpha Xi Delta- Xi has got to be the best Greek letter of all, and the combination of dark blue, light blue and gold are the best color combinations

Chi Omega- I like their emphasis on scholarship. It seems that on every campus that I know of the Chi-O’s are near the top in grades and are campus leaders.

Delta Delta Delta- Beautiful open motto of “Let us steadfastly love one another;” love that the philanthropy is St. Jude’s… very noble facility and worthy of every dime it receives

Delta Gamma- my best friend is a Delta Gamma; like the motto of Do Good- simple, but yet it says everything that needs to be said. My favorite sitcom character ever, Elaine Benes, was played by Julia Louis-Dreyfuss a DG.

Delta Phi Epsilon- motto: Esse Quam Videri: to be rather than to seem to be.

Delta Zeta- I have the best mother-in-law on the planet, and she was a Delta Zeta at ‘Bama. I also love their philanthropy, as it aligns with my career.

Gamma Phi Beta- Members seem to be all over the GC boards! Also, have 2 great new colonies in TX, including one at my alma mater.

Kappa Alpha Theta- I love the bravery that the Founders exhibited in becoming the first open GLO for women at a time when women on campus were not wanted. Also, props for having Sheryl Crow, Amy Grant, and all those Republicans!

Kappa Delta- The Purpose and The Open Motto are beautiful

Kappa Kappa Gamma- They have my favorite badge of all! Every Kappa that I have ever known has been a classy and respectable woman.

Phi Mu- Website is terrific. I also like the word Philomathean. It is just fun to say!

Phi Sigma Sigma- I loved this: “Phi Sigma Sigma is a dynamic sisterhood of women with different backgrounds but similar values. Our commitment to inclusiveness binds us, and results in stronger women who embrace individuality and share this philosophy with the world

Pi Beta Phi- Liking the arrow! (I tend to like inanimate symbols best… key, kite, arrow, etc). The Pi Phis on my campus were so fun… I had many friends in that organization. I also like that the Holt House, where the founding of Pi Beta Phi occurred, is in their possession and is set up like a museum

Sigma Delta Tau- love Prevention of Child Abuse as the philanthropy; also like that one of the colors is “café au lait”

Sigma Kappa- Our babysitter is a Sigma Kappa… she is adorable, classy, smart and very respectable. When I was an undergrad, our very wonderful Greek Advisor was a Sigma Kappa, and she always spoke very highly of the organization (we didn’t have it on our campus at the time

Sigma Sigma Sigma- My favorite professor in grad school was a Sigma... she is a very classy woman and remains very involved with the local chapter

Theta Phi Alpha- I like the compass… very unique.

Zeta Tau Alpha- The Susan G Komen organization does so much for so many women. I know that ZTA now supports all breast cancer causes, but I appreciate the specific support that they provide to survivors at Race for the Cure events. I also had a blast at the ZTA house on my campus during rush, and can still sing some of their rush songs….

fyrnymph 04-13-2008 04:33 PM

Sigma Delta Tau- beautiful jewel and I like the torch.

No time right now to participate fully, but I had never seen this thread until someone revived it!

I LOVE that so many of you have taken the time to speak positively and appreciatively for the various GLO's. What a blessing it is to scroll through and get "warm fuzzies" from each of you!

ZTAMich 04-19-2008 07:03 PM

So I had to BUMP because this thread was mentioned at NY/NJ State Day for ZTA today!! A national officer mentioned that someone was looking on GC and saw this thread and how everyone loves Zetas chain of links that stand for each chapter. The chain, which rarely leaves IO except for Convention, made a special trip to NJ and we all got to see our link. So cool!

katybelle04 04-21-2008 03:41 PM

We just had our NC ZTA day two weeks ago!!! Yay for ZTA! I had such a blast at NLC this summer and we took plenty of pictures with our chapter's link at IO!!! :)

ZL!

Fleur de Lis 07-20-2008 07:29 PM

deserves to be bumped!

Texas<>Diamonds 07-22-2008 05:48 PM

I am short on time so I will only do the chapters I know about for now...

Alpha Chi Omega- They have a lovely chapter at my school. Their house is one of the best decorated on campus and their girls are very sweet and down to earth. They give a 110% to their philanthropic efforts, and were the only organization to be given a prestigous award by the city for charity work!

Alpha Delta Pi- I will skip this because I am biased ;)

Alpha Gamma Delta- The squirrel is a very cute and original mascot! They also have a beautiful website and a fantastic house at UGA!

Alpha Omicron Pi- Props to this chapter for having a great name (it is very simiar to ours!) They have a lovely headquarters. Their house at Berkely (sp?) is one of the prettiest sorority houses I have seen!

Alpha Phi- Congrats to this chapter for having such a strong West Coast presence! They have 22 chapters in California!

Alpha Xi Delta- They have a very nice headquarters! Also, I like the use of the quill as a symbol. No other sorority has anything like that!

Chi Omega- I knew a woman who was a Chi Omega and she was the epitome of what a sorority woman should be. These women are dedicated and classy. I love their philanthropy and they should be proud to be the largest sorority! I will forgive them for trying to take over ADPi back in the 1800s...;)

Delta Delta Delta- I love that they have a headquarters in my home town! I also love that Howard Stern's bride-to-be is one! I think they have a great reputation and I love their symbols (the trident, Posiden, etc)

Delta Gamma- These girls seem to be very cute and girly at most of their schools! They take pride in being feminine and they are oh so cute with their nautical symbols! I like how they pose doing the sailor salute!

Delta Zeta- We don't have a chapter at my school, but their is one at the school in my hometown. I think they have adorable colors and I love the roman lamp. What a unique symbol!

Gamma Phi Beta- Your crest is so delicate and beautiful- it looks hand painted! I also like your colors and symbols. You have a great national website.

Kappa Alpha Theta- I have known some fabulous Thetas. I admire this sorority for its strength and leadership. They produce some amazing alumni and make great choices on where to colonize. They also make sure that all members are up to Theta standards!

Kappa Delta- We don't have a chapter of this sorority but for some reason I have an image of it being "the girls you marry." I have a friend who pledged this sorority at a Texas school and she is sweet and smart. They have a great motto!

Kappa Kappa Gamma- What a strong southern sorority! One of the sweetest women I know is a Kappa. I admire their national organization and how few chapters they have closed. I think they are the quintissential (sp?) sorority to most Americans.

Phi Mu- I think these girls are so cute and so southern! I like the connections they have to ADPi and I know a girl from high school who pledged Phi Mu. The name just sounds fabulous and their websites are some of the nicest Greek ones I have seen!

Pi Beta Phi- I have always admired the Pi Phi chapter at my school. They are a diverse group of women who are classy and yet know how to have fun. I admire that they have such a strong national organization and have colonies at so many top tier schools!

Sigma Kappa- I like the way the nationals takes such great care of their badges. I also like that they have a very soft and feminine feel (their colors, symbols). I know several of these girls and they are so nice and fun loving!

Zeta Tau Alpha- They have an outstanding chapter at my school and I always think of them as being very Texan. I love the way their colors look together. Also they have some very pretty pictures of their founders.

I haven't read all of this thread so I'm sure I'm repeating things, but I wanted to say something about all the NPC groups even though I'm not familiar with them all.

Alpha Chi Omega – As someone who love music, I love their lyre pin and I like the philanthropic focus on domestic violence

Alpha Delta Pi – I love their motto/slogan “First Finest Forever. Since 1851” and that they have Prides within the chapter. I think it’s a cool integration of their mascot, which I also like.

Alpha Epsilon Phi – I read on this thread that part of the reason the giraffe was chosen as the mascot was because it has a big heart. I thought that was a lovely sentiment.

Alpha Gamma Delta – My Rho Chi was an Alpha Gam and I really liked and respected her. It was the same with everyone I met from the Alpha Gam chapter at my school – a classy group of ladies.

Alpha Omicron Pi – I really like the meaning of their publication, To Dragma, and I think the idea of putting a ribbon under their badge when a new collegiate chapter is installed is a great way to recognize the efforts of their new sisters.

Alpha Phi – I always thought their Red Dress Gala was a great and fun way to bring awareness to women’s heart disease

Alpha Sigma Alpha - I like their open motto of “Aspire, Seek, Attain” and that they have a fall and spring flower.

Alpha Sigma Tau – Having Habitat for Humanity as one of their philanthropies is awesome. I think it’s a great organization to be associated with.

Alpha Xi Delta – What can I say about the organization I love? It has helped me grow so much and transformed me into the person I am today. For that I will always be thankful.

Chi Omega – I met two ChiO’s from the same chapter after I graduated (who didn’t know each other as they weren’t in the chapter at the same time). They were such fun, bubbly gals I instantly became friends with them. It makes me love ChiO’s! And I can never get their Recruitment chant out of my head (Chi Omega, Chi Chi Omega, C-H-I-O-M-E-G-A)

Delta Delta Delta – I really like their symbols of the stars, the crescent, and the trident. And I think their open motto of “let us steadfastly love one another” is heartwarming (I don’t mean that in a trite way).

Delta Gamma – This is a little superficial, but I really like their anchor hand sign (arm sign?) I also like that the original badge was the letter H, which stood for Hope. However the website says that it was the watchword – but a watchword for what? Anyone know the answer?

Delta Phi Epsilon – Their colors are the same as my alma mater, so that’s a big plus right there! And their motto is wonderful - “to be rather than to seem to be.”

Delta Zeta – They have the same flower as we do! And I think it’s pretty smart to have a “Surfing Sisters” alum chapter for alumnae who don’t live near a college or alum group.

Gamma Phi Beta – I like that their colors were to honor a professor that helped the first Gamma Phi’s hold their first meetings. And having been a Camp Fire girl, I love their philanthropy!

Kappa Alpha Theta – I think it’s cool that they were the first fraternity to establish a chapter in Canada.

Kappa Delta – Since I have been advising I’ve met a lot of other sorority advisors. One of the most Panhellenic-spirited people I’ve ever met was the KD advisor. She rooted for every chapter and did everything she could to see that others succeeded. It gave me a very high opinion of KD.

Kappa Kappa Gamma – I really like their symbol, the key. And I think it’s cool that they’re expanding to Santa Clara because my cousin is going there!

Phi Mu – I like that one of their colors is rose (or pink) – it’s just fun and girly IMO. I also really like their motto of The Faithful Sisters and that it appears on their crest (as Les Soeurs Fideles).

Phi Sigma Sigma – I like the reasoning behind why the American Beauty Rose was chosen for their flower – “its statuesque beauty, and the balance of its sharp thorns and soft petals” (taken from their website). Girls can be both sharp and soft!

Pi Beta Phi – a gal I work with is a Pi Phi and is very chill and down to earth – a great example for their organization. And I like their symbol, the arrow.

Sigma Delta Tau – I think it’s cool that the man who wrote their ritual was referred to as a “brother” and was allowed to wear their pin.

Sigma Kappa – I have a lot of respect for the Sigma Kappa’s at the campus I advise because they are such hardworking and genuine women.

Sigma Sigma Sigma – I think the meaning of their symbol, the sailboat, is very aspiring. I like the idea of always moving forward, never moving back.

Theta Phi Alpha – I really like the creed, especially the “loyalty to every friend, faith that sorrow can transcend” part.

Zeta Tau Alpha – I have never met a ZTA I didn’t like. They are such fun and personable women – and I love their symbol of the crown and their motto “seek the noblest”.

Alpha Chi Omega- Love your symphony and the lyre
Alpha Delta Pi- Very respected and ladylike plus who dosn't like diamonds??
Alpha Epsilon Phi- Love your philanthropies and your open motto.
Alpha Gamma Delta- Don't know much about and I havn't met an AGD yet but I worked at JDRF and my aunt died from diabetes so I respect them a lot.
Alpha Omicron Pi- I love that you don't have a crest and the story with Coke is cool!
Alpha Phi- I've never met an Alpha Phi and don't know but about them but I like their Ivy, I always thought it was really Greek.
Alpha Sigma Alpha- I like the motto, Aspire, Seek, Attain.
Alpha Sigma Tau- I like how it started as an educational sorority, great history.
Alpha Xi Delta-One of my sister's mom is a AZD and she was always there for us. This sister's best friend (and little) passed away and I told her mom. She immediately flew down to be with her daughter and be with the Chi Omega's and help us, she was my rock at that time.
Chi Omega- I chose Chi O because of the individuals in the chapter and I loved the national support and reputation.
Delta Delta Delta- Fabulous reputation and girls at my campus. I also love the trident.
Delta Gamma- Very jealous of the anchor, and my moms best friend is a DG!
Delta Phi Epsilon- I like your motto, to be rather than to seem to be. It reminds me of the Chi O symphony :)
Delta Zeta - There is something about DZ's that have always fascinated me. From their colors (superficial) to their crest. Plus I think you all have the best national website.
Gamma Phi Beta- I like the Founded on a Rock, it's a very strong motto and very feminist (it makes sense to me).
Kappa Alpha Theta- You have the most amazing alumnae. I also love the kite symbol.
Kappa Delta- love the Kadydid and Georgia O'Keefe!!!
Kappa Kappa Gamma- Kappa was the only sorority I knew before recruitment, such a strong national representation. I also have a thing for fleur de lis. Plus one of my best friends is one.
Phi Mu- I am super jealous of Phi Mu b.c my favorite author, Joyce Carol Oats is a Phi Mu. She is IMHO the most impressionable writer out there today. Plus she always mentions sororities in her stories (somehow).
Phi Sigma Sigma- I love all the Egyptian references, it's pretty cool and unique.
Pi Beta Phi- I think it's a great strong national sorority. My highschool bf just married a Pi Phi and she is really sweet.
Sigma Delta Tau- Great girls, and I've met a couple of your consultants all very nice. I also like the torch plus I would like to say cafe au lait!!
Sigma Kappa- My sanity (as I call my friend) is a SK. I obviously respect any organization that she chose but also love their history.
Sigma Sigma Sigma- I love the sailboat, it's always been a dream to learn how to sail, plus I love the signifiance behind it.
Theta Phi Alpha - Your open motto really sticks out to me and I can relate to it realy well.
Zeta Tau Alpha- I'm very jealous of the crowns and I love the whole story of the strawberries. When I was president of my chapter my closest friend was the president of ZTA, we are still really close.

I really love all sororities and I love that they were basically founded so that women could band together and have a close friendship with girls who were breaking the norm and seeking a career. I love how they all have the basic principles of seeking, striving, or doing your best. I am so proud to be a part of even one of these fabulous organizations.

ComradesTrue 08-19-2008 07:20 AM

Bumping for recruitment season and because this is one of my favorite threads on Greek Chat.

If you plan to post here, please recognize that the spirit of this thread is to say something positive about all 26 orgs... even the ones that you may not be personally familiar with. Part of the fun is looking up the groups that you might not have first-hand knowledge of and learning something new about our NPC sisters!

violet_milagro 08-19-2008 01:33 PM

Alpha Chi Omega- Your "Life Loyal" program is such a great way to keep track of alumna

Alpha Delta Pi- I love how you were founded as the "Adelphian Society". Such a cool history. (And gotta love the violets!)

Alpha Epsilon Phi- the open motto is so eloquent "many hearts, one purpose". I also liked the "Phi Phacts" section.

Alpha Gamma Delta- The squirrel is a cute mascot

Alpha Omicron Pi- The mother's pin is gorgeous! It's a leaf with greek word for "mother" on it. Neat idea!

Alpha Sigma Alpha- A friend of mine is an ASA, and she recently went through a rough patch, and her sisters were so awesome in supporting her. I was so impressed with how they really stepped up to the plate for her.

Alpha Sigma Tau- I LOVE the anchor as your symbol! As a Navy brat, I'm really jealous :)

Alpha Xi Delta- I worked with an older lady who was an AZD, and she would tell me all about being in a sorority in Texas in the 1950's. AZD has beautiful traditions, and they sounds like great sisters!

Chi Omega- I love Chi-O! The cardinal and straw are beautiful colors, and the owl is such a neat symbol. My study partner in Organic Chemistry this past year is a Chi-O, and she was so awesome!

Delta Delta Delta- The TriDelts at Colorado State have a spectacular reputataion. They are so sweet!

Delta Gamma- Neat DG fact- Heloise from "Hints from Heloise" (in the newspaper) is a Delta Gamma! How cool!

Delta Phi Epsilon- The Pearl program sounds like a really good way to help members grow. (I really like the five S's: Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Social, and Self)

Delta Zeta - Their website has a beautiful layout, and was really easy to navigate. I really enjoyed researching their sorority!

Gamma Phi Beta- All of the G-Phi's I've met have been so sweet. And I love their symbols.

Kappa Alpha Theta- The kite-shaped badge looks really classy and I like their letters "KAT"

Kappa Delta- I love the nickname "KD Ladies". :) Their letters go together so well!

Kappa Kappa Gamma- A girl I lived with joined KKG this past fall and she invited me to their "Chili con Kappa" event. I had a blast! The Kappa's were so welcoming and their house at CSU (Fort Collins) is beautiful!

Phi Mu- A friend of mine's girlfriend is a Phi Mu at University of Houston, and she had originally been really skeptical about Greek Life. Luckily, she found her home at Phi Mu!

Phi Sigma Sigma- A close friend of mine recently joined Phi Sig, and she loves them! Her new sisters were so welcoming to her, and I'm so glad she's with a group that she loves.

Pi Beta Phi- I had pref'ed Pi Phi when I went through recruitment, and it was definately a touch choice between them and Sigma Kappa. I ended up choosing SK, but I have a deep respect for Pi Phi.

Sigma Delta Tau- Preventing child abuse is an absolutely essential philantropy!

Sigma Kappa- My ladies! Obviously, I'm going to say I love everything, but I do! The lavender and maroon, the violets, the dove, our badges, my sisters! I love being a Sigma Kappa!

Sigma Sigma Sigma- More violets and pearls! Definately a sorority close to my heart!

Theta Phi Alpha - Their mascot is a penguin!!

Zeta Tau Alpha- One of my best friends is a ZTA, and it always impresses me how much she puts in her sorority. The Zeta's I know are so dedicated!

Of course I'm going to rave about Sigma Kappa, but it was really awesome learning about the other NPC sorority. No matter the letter, we're all greek together!

Delta Delta Delta - One of my friends is a Tri Delta. I like their symbols as well.

Delta Gamma - Had one of the best cheers, that I still remember to this day from rush back in 93. :) I also love their colors.

AlwaysSAI 08-19-2008 08:10 PM

let me go back and fix it. SORRY!

agzg 09-26-2008 04:49 PM

I’m bumping this thread because I like it, and it seems like a nice way to spend an afternoon...

Alpha Chi Omega – I like the music thing – the Symphony of Alpha Chi Omega, the lyre, cool stuff.

Alpha Delta Pi – I like the sentiment where the website says it’s the “mother of today’s sorority system,” not mother as in “mother of all sororities” but mother as in nurturing, the mama bear if you will.

Alpha Epsilon Phi – The Lily of the Valley has to be one of my favorite flowers.

Alpha Gamma Delta – Easy one! I love it all, but my favorite part of Alpha Gam is definitely the purpose – “To cherish friendships with but a chosen few...” – still gives me goosebumps.

Alpha Omicron Pi – I love the ruby!

Alpha Phi – Wut wut Syracuse Triad! Every Alpha Phi I’ve met has been super nice, and I love the attention they call to the red dress program raising awareness about heart disease in women!

Alpha Sigma Alpha – The ASAs on my campus are home to a couple of great friends – I’ve always loved their creed.

Alpha Sigma Tau – I love the anchor, and we share the pearl – plus one of my best friends is an AST.

Alpha Xi Delta – I really really like their vision statement – “Inspiring woman to realize their potential.”

Chi Omega – My cousin is a Chi O – I like their mascot, the owl.

Delta Delta Delta – Their open motto really hits at the heart of Greek Life (IMO) – “Let us steadfastly love one another.” “Steadfast love” was my mom’s favorite saying. She wasn’t a Tri Delt, but maybe she should have been!

Delta Gamma – I love “Do Good.”

Delta Phi Epsilon – I think my favorite part is that the mascot is the Unicorn, a mythical creature which is unique IMO.

Delta Zeta - I like the “surfing sisters” program for women who don’t have an alumnae chapter – it’s neat that they can still connect!

Gamma Phi Beta – Syracuse Triad! I love the colors, and the crescent is sweet.

Kappa Alpha Theta – The kite-shaped badge is beautiful.

Kappa Delta – I love white roses.

Kappa Kappa Gamma – I’m a huge fan of the fleur de lis.

Phi Mu – I like their open motto “Les Soeurs Fideles.”

Phi Sigma Sigma – I love the sapphire.

Pi Beta Phi - The arrow badge is beautiful.

Sigma Delta Tau – I’m a huge fan of their philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America.

Sigma Kappa – We share the pearl thing, again, and I love that their flower is a wildflower.

Sigma Sigma Sigma – “Ever forward” – I’ve always loved that!

Theta Phi Alpha – The sentiment behind the compass (at least the open sentiment) is beautiful.

Zeta Tau Alpha – I like the five-pointed crown and I love how the five points hold special significance for initiated members!

jessica.lanelle 09-26-2008 06:02 PM

dundeewinner 09-28-2008 01:46 PM

This is such a great idea...and also a great way to learn more about the organizations I am not very familiar with! (I also want to try and make my sorority anonymous by giving fair comments to all!)

Alpha Chi Omega: This was the first sorority I ever really was exposed to. One of its members was the reason I pursued sorority life. I saw how much she got out of her experience as an undergraduate!
Alpha Delta Pi: My cousin is an ADPi and I have always enjoyed looking at her pictures. The ladies seem very genuine and full of fun!
Alpha Epsilon Phi: I am very impressed that this group values individuality and it is an example of what so many unique women can do when the work together for the same purpose.
Alpha Gamma Delta: The chapter on my campus had such an amazing sisterhood that got them through some tough obstacles. I always admired their strength and unity.
Alpha Omicron Pi: Any AOPi that I have come in contact with seems to LOVE pandas! It shows that they have great pride in their organization!
Alpha Phi: One of my bridesmaids is an Alpha Phi! The chapter that I am familiar with is full of amazing leaders inside and outside of their organization!
Alpha Sigma Alpha: This organization seems to value lifelong learning and emphasize that you are a sister for life!
Alpha Sigma Tau: I really admire their open motto: Active, Self-Reliant, Trustworthy. Those are great values to uphold and describe what a sorority woman should be.
Alpha Xi Delta: We had Alpha Xi Delta on my campus as well. They always seemed to balance their personal lives to strive socially and academically.
Chi Omega: Another chapter on my campus that I admired for their chapter's diversity and sisterhood. They appear to be strong nationally as well.
Delta Delta Delta: Delta Delta Delta values integrity which I think is an important quality of college women that is shown in their membership.
Delta Gamma: This was a strong chapter on my campus and the ladies were always a popular house during formal recruitment.
Delta Phi Epsilon: Again, another motto that I admire: "To be rather than to seem to be."
Delta Zeta : I love the pink and green colors...and I admire many Delta Zetas that I have met.
Gamma Phi Beta: A good friend of mine is a Gamma Phi Beta and she was amazingly supportive of me throughout my college years!
Kappa Alpha Theta: Kappa Alpha Theta paved the way for women to be a part of a GLO. That is something that I will always admire about them.
Kappa Delta: They seem to have so many unique programs and I've personally never met a KD I didn't like!
Kappa Kappa Gamma : Another strong chapter on my campus. They were fun but well respected women.
Phi Mu: Another bridesmaid of mine is a Phi Mu! I have heard great things about her sisterhood that seems to be the same on many campuses I have seen.
Phi Sigma Sigma: They seem to encourage their members to "Aim High" and to uphold themselves to high standards. I also love that their stone is a Sapphire.
Pi Beta Phi: I love that their mascot is an angel. The chapter on my campus was always known to have fun.
Sigma Delta Tau: I really admire Sigma Delta Tau's philanthropy and know that they do great things for PCA.
Sigma Kappa : Again, I also admire Sigma Kappa's philanthropy and that it has to do with Gerontology. My mom works in that field and I know that it is an area that needs support.
Sigma Sigma Sigma: I like that Sigma Sigma Sigma has such strong core values and promotes life long learning and friendship.
Theta Phi Alpha : Theta Phi Alpha seems to have the vision of populating their chapters with strong women and are very admirable.
Zeta Tau Alpha: I love all of this organization's symbols and I also think that the chain of chapters is a really neat tradition.

ASTalumna06 07-03-2009 02:30 AM

BUMP!

littleowl33 07-03-2009 11:50 AM

Some of these groups I know more about than others, but I'll do my best!

Alpha Chi Omega
: I think your badges are really gorgeous - one of my favorites of all the groups.
Alpha Delta Pi: This might sound strange, but I really like the way your letters look!
Alpha Epsilon Phi: I love that AEPhi and AEPi are in conjuction - I think it would be cool to have a fraternity like that for Kappa.
Alpha Gamma Delta: My aunt is a AGD and is one of the most fun, crazy and amazing women I know. She's very proud of her affiliation, with good reason!
Alpha Omicron Pi: It's cool that you adere to Greek roots by not using a crest... that's something I would never have thought of.
Alpha Phi: This is probably the NPC org I have the most friends in (outside of my own, of course!). The APhi girls on my campus are a lot of fun and have great events.
Alpha Sigma Alpha: Your website is really beautifully done. Also, I recenly found out that my cousin's grandmother is a ASA! She exemplifies kindness and charm to me, and I was excited to find out that we're Panhellenic sisters.
Alpha Sigma Tau: Habitat for Humanity is a fantastic and well-known philanthropy, and it's wonderful that you've taken it on.
Alpha Xi Delta: I think the quill is a great symbol - I love to write and it's a symbol that's important to me.
Chi Omega: This is one of the first sororities I ever heard of, and I really admire your strength nationally.
Delta Delta Delta: I can't help but think of the SNL skit - it was my first exposure to greek life and it cracks me up. I love that you ladies have a sense of humor about it!
Delta Gamma: I love the anchor, the hand (arm?) signal and the colors, and all the DGs I've met are wonderful, classy women. The Hopkins DG chapter closed long before I was on campus, but I'd love to see the school bring it back. I also think your house at UMDCP is stunning!
Delta Phi Epsilon: I love that this was the first sorority founded at a professional school - especially a law school!
Delta Zeta: Your colors are great - very preppy and cute!
Gamma Phi Beta: I think the crescent moon is a very subtle and elegant symbol.
Kappa Alpha Theta: I had a good friend who was a Theta at Hopkins, and I always loved how much fun those girls had! They were always a favorite during recruitment and paired with us for one of our big philanthropy events.
Kappa Delta: It's fantastic that Georgia O'Keeffe is a sister! Such an amazing artist.
Kappa Kappa Gamma: I could go on and on... I'm so thankful to have the privilege of being a KKG.
Phi Mu: The oldest group on our campus! I think the quatrefoil is a very classy, unique symbol. The girl who trained me at my on-campus job was a Phi Mu and she was probably one of the sweetest, most caring women I've ever met. Though she graduated and moved abroad, we still talk.
Phi Sigma Sigma: I think having the sphinx as a symbol/badge is very exotic and interestic.
Pi Beta Phi: Monmouth duo sisters! They have a special place in my heart.
Sigma Delta Tau: I love your crest, with the torch featured prominently. It looks very strong and inspiring.
Sigma Kappa: "One heart, one way" is simple and beautiful. I really like it.
Sigma Sigma Sigma: I love your sailboat! I grew up near the water and spent the summers sailing.
Theta Phi Alpha: It's pretty cool that you were founded for Catholic women.
Zeta Tau Alpha: I love your colors and the crown! A close friend of the family is a Zeta and she's really fun.

lovespink88 07-03-2009 01:10 PM

Because I love procrastinating.

Alpha Chi Omega - I love the "first and last" open meaning.
Alpha Delta Pi - I very much appreciate the fact that they were the first women's group that paved the way for all of our organizations!
Alpha Epsilon Phi - Their giraffe mascot is so unique!
Alpha Gamma Delta - One of my favorite mottos: "Inspire the woman. Impact the world."
Alpha Omicron Pi - RED! Love the color, love the rose, it just looks so classy!
Alpha Phi - I love they they also used the Greek pronunciation like us! (Alpha FEE, and we used Alpha ZEE Delta)
Alpha Sigma Alpha - Four colors, how cool!
Alpha Sigma Tau - I love the way emerald green and gold look together! I also love the anchor symbol.
Alpha Xi Delta - :D
Chi Omega - Cool badge, and Make a Wish is a great philanthropy!
Delta Delta Delta - My favorite badge and philanthropy (aside from ours of course!)
Delta Gamma - Again, love the anchor symbol. The DGs at my school are really big on it, and they have anchor everything, and it's SO cute!
Delta Phi Epsilon - Their colors are so majestic.
Delta Zeta - Gotta love that pink rose!
Gamma Phi Beta - Thanks for giving the women our own thing by coining the word "sorority"!
Kappa Alpha Theta - Love the black and gold and I gotta say they've got a very impressive and informative website!
Kappa Delta - Four national philanthropies?! Wow!
Kappa Kappa Gamma - Some of the coolest symbols, my favorite being the key and fleur-de-lis. I've honestly never met a Kappa I didn't like!
Phi Mu - Love that hot pink!
Phi Sigma Sigma - I very much admire that they were the first organization to not discriminate membership based on background. VERY cool!
Pi Beta Phi - The arrows are pretty cool, and I like the fact that the organization began the same year my school OPENED. Gotta appreciate longevity!
Sigma Delta Tau - I love that torch!
Sigma Kappa - Another favorite set of symbols, the heart and dove!
Sigma Sigma Sigma - Very cool website!
Theta Phi Alpha - PENGUINS ARE MY FAVORITE!
Zeta Tau Alpha - Love the colors and the crown!

LoveKU28 07-04-2009 12:39 AM

Great thread! It shows we PNM's that there are great things about every sorority!

Psi U MC Vito 07-04-2009 12:50 AM

I really like this thread. It's too bad that it's not really practical with NIC.

Penguin08 07-04-2009 02:07 AM

This is a great thread! I'm a Theta Phi so I know everything amazing about it, but it's nice to learn some of the things that make the other NPC's fabulous.

LyreLove2012 07-06-2009 04:59 PM

Alpha Chi Omega- My home away from home :-) I love our local philanthropy (Dove) and the meaning behind our badge (which I don’t think I can share with you so please don’t ask!)
Alpha Delta Pi- ADPi’s philanthropy is really important to me. One of my friends had cancer and her family stayed in the Ronald McDonald House while she received treatment.
Alpha Epsilon Phi- I love the open motto “Multa Corda, Una Causa- Many Hearts, One Purpose.” I also love giraffes!
Alpha Gamma Delta- I love the purpose, especially this line: “To cherish friendships with but a chosen few and to study the perfecting of those friendships.”
Alpha Omicron Pi- I love rubies and roses!
Alpha Phi- I love all the badges/pins and I love the Ivy
Alpha Sigma Alpha- I love this: “The aim of this sorority shall…have for its four-fold objective the intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development of its members.”
Alpha Sigma Tau-I love that Habitat For Humanity is one of the philanthropies!
Alpha Xi Delta- I love the crest and that the philanthropy supports autism awareness.
Chi Omega- the colors are really pretty and the symphony especially : to be, in the best sense, democratic rather than 'exclusive', and lovable rather than 'popular';”
Delta Delta Delta- I <3 St. Jude! I am actually a part of an organization that raises money for St. Jude, so we partner up with Tri-Delta for our main events.
Delta Gamma- I love the anchor!
Delta Phi Epsilon- I love the colors and founding principles
Delta Zeta – I love the colors, it’s my favorite color combination!
Gamma Phi Beta- I love the colors and the crest is beautiful!
Kappa Alpha Theta- I think it is cool that our sororities were founded at the same university. I am also a big fan of Amy Grant!
Kappa Delta- Wow! Four national philanthropies! I think it is really cool that Georgia O’Keeffe is one of the notable alumni!
Kappa Kappa Gamma - I love the colors, badge, and flower!
Phi Mu- I love the tagline: Imagine. Believe. Achieve. I also love the colors!
Phi Sigma Sigma- I love the Egyption references (The Sphinx and Pyramid badge is really cool!) . It is very unique!

This is the funniest thing I've heard in awhile! :D

Alpha Omicron Pi – totally biased of course, but my favorite thing about AOII is that our ritual has not changed since 1897. I’ve even seen a founder’s handwritten copy of our ritual – which was pretty inspiring. Of course, I also love the badge and all it symbolizes.

I'm so jealous! How did you get to see Stella's original?

Thanks for bumping...I thought I'd read all of these posts, but I guess I hadn't.

Alpha Chi Omega: I was really touched by the first line of their Symphony.."To see beauty even in the common things of life." We should all do that more often.

Alpha Delta Pi: I like that the stages of membership are labeled with their letters. Not-yet-initiated members= Alphas, Collegians = Deltas.

Alpha Epsilon Phi: The reasoning behind the giraffe as their mascot is touching.

Alpha Gamma Delta: I'm so impressed by the vision "Inspire the Woman. Impact the World." To-the-point and means so much.

Alpha Omicron Pi:I like that their website gives a mini-bio on each of the 4 founders, crediting each of them for specific traits that they brought to AOII.

Alpha Phi: They are the only group [that I know of, anyway] to have a constellation as a symbol and that's pretty neat. No matter where in the world your sisters are, your symbol can be seen, theoretically, byall of them.

Alpha Sigma Alpha: I'm such a fan of all the symbols...I have been pretty into the idea of a phoenix as a mascot ever since I saw it used within Phi Sigma Phi, but also the color palm green for "Victory & immortality", the core values, and the flowers.

Alpha Sigma Tau: I like their colors, emerald green & gold. They also happen to be my college's colors :)

Alpha Xi Delta: I love that they have 20 badge designs to choose from, first of all. I also love their new philanthropy, Autism Speaks!

[[As an aside, I have now spent a full hour on this and I'm only through 9 of 26.....this could take a significant amount of time....]]

Chi Omega: Part of their Symphony: "...to speak kindly, to act sincerely, to choose thoughtfully..." really got to me.

Delta Delta Delta: Their partnership with St. Jude is just incredible to me. The fact that they have done so much that they are recognized there and were given their own floor... not only is that great for them, but they really gave Greek Life some good PR in general. According to Wiki: "The month of March has now also been designated as St. Jude / Tri Delta month."

Delta Gamma: "Do Good." Love it.

Delta Phi Epsilon: The list of notable alumnae on the Wiki page is pretty great.

Delta Zeta: I love the story of their founding. The new president of the university in 1902 not only changed Miami University's male-only rule, but then aided the 6 founders in the creation of DZ, including helping them prepare a ritual, a badge, and choose the sorority colors.

Gamma Phi Beta: I love the symbol of the crescent moon, for the same reason I appreciate Alpha Phi's constellation.

Kappa Alpha Theta: They are the only other NPC org to use Θ. [I would love to know if it means to them what it means to us...not that I'm asking...just a thought that crossed my mind]. Extensive list of notable alums. Love that their philanthropy is CASA!

Kappa Delta: I really like their motto: "Let us strive for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest."

Kappa Kappa Gamma: One of my best friends from 4th grade through high school joined KKG and her love for it is what made me decide to join a sorority. [My University doesn't have KKG or else we may have ended up sisters]! I like the "Why Kappa?" section of the website where it says "Kappa Kappa Gamma sustains members in bad times, celebrates in good times and shares at all times." That's beautiful. Also, when my friend got married a couple years ago, I got to meet a bunch of her sisters at the wedding/reception and I can honestly say that every single one of them was classy and carried herself well.

Phi Mu: They have a very beautiful Creed and I love their philanthropy (Children's Miracle Network). [Another aside: a friend of mine was just voted in as Chapter President at her school on Sunday!! YAY!!]

Phi Sigma Sigma: Very well done webpage. I like that they are "Dedicated to the twin ideals of promoting the brotherhood of mankind and alleviation of the world’s pain."

Pi Beta Phi: I LOOOVE Pi Phi's colors. The crest is gorgeous and I love the explanation the website gives for the flower as it translates to the aspects of Pi Phi membership. Basically, all of their symbols are amazing.

Sigma Delta Tau: GREAT philanthropy! Also, they have a very unique jewel and beautiful badge.

Sigma Kappa: It's kind of neat that they originally capped chapter membership at 25, so there were 3 chapters at one school (A, B, and Γ at Colby College). Colby banned Greek orgs, making the oldest survivable chapter Delta, which I believe is still open.

[[3 more to go and 3 hours into it!! I just keep wanting to learn more about each sorority!]]

Sigma Sigma Sigma: I love their badge & new member badge and I like the idea of "ever forward."

Theta Phi Alpha: And here is where my bias chimes in!! I'll try to keep it concise but a few of my favorite things about Theta Phi are:
The motto- "Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring."
The creed- my personal favorite line is "Wisdom in each deed and plan".
The tagline- "Ever Loyal, Ever Lasting" which is typically superimposed on 4 connected chain links. <3
And the last thing I'll mention....our most recent past national president, Mari Ann Callais, is quite possibly one of the most influential people I have ever had the honor of meeting personally. She travels to schools and speaks to fraternity and sorority members about various topics, and one of the things she teaches is that you should "Live Your Ritual" every single day, which is just a remarkable sentiment that means so much, but is so different to each member of a GLO.

Zeta Tau Alpha : Fabulous philanthropy, beautiful colors, I love the crown hand sign, and great website. The chain of chapters is a great idea, and I like the story about their patron goddess, Themis.

It took me 3 1/2 hours, but I did it!!!:D

I did mine in Gmail so that it auto-saved what I had every few words, and then I just copied and pasted.
If you're up for typing it all again, I suggest you go with that method so that way nothing ends up lost! :)

Yeah, I wrote it in Word this time. Okay, here it goes again.

Alpha Chi Omega- I love their symphony and “Together let us seek the heights.” Is a great open motto.

Alpha Delta Pi- Their flower is really pretty, The Adelphean Society was a really cool name to have, and I adore their badge.

Alpha Epsilon Phi- I really like that their philanthropy helps AIDS research. I love their mascot and flower.

Alpha Gamma Delta- Their jewel is a pearl and “Inspire the Woman. Impact the World” is a great vision.

Alpha Omicron Pi- Their values are close to ours, their website is so awesome, and I think this is really neat: for the new member pin, “The binding together of wheat into a sheaf in the new member pin represents individuals bound by the common bond of Alpha Omicron Pi.”

Alpha Phi- I know an Alpha Phi and she’s really, really nice. I like that they have a 50 year pin and their flower is lily of the valley.

Alpha Sigma Alpha- I’m biased because it’s mine, but I love the creed and our 4 colors.

Alpha Sigma Tau- “The purpose of Alpha Sigma Tau is to promote the ethical, cultural, and social development of its members.” I really like this purpose.

Alpha Xi Delta- “Inspiring women to realize their potential.” Is their vision, which is very awesome to hear because I believe in potential.

Chi Omega- Their mascot is the owl and I love their flower.

Delta Delta Delta- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is such a good cause. They also have a really cool badge, the stars and crescent badge, for initiated members.

Delta Gamma- I think this is neat “More than 100 Delta Gamma collegiate chapters host Anchor Splash® to raise awareness and funds for the Foundation.”

Delta Phi Epsilon- I love their pearl program!

Delta Zeta- I think the fact that it was founded among a male dominated campus is interesting.
Gamma Phi Beta- I love their flower, symbol, and crest.

Kappa Alpha Theta- I never knew this! “Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870 as the first Greek-letter fraternity for women.”

Kappa Delta- I love how they have examples of how they live their values

Kappa Kappa Gamma – I love their jewel because “The sapphire is recognized as a symbol of truth, sincerity and constancy.”

Phi Mu- I love how wonderful and genuine the creed is.

Phi Sigma Sigma- I love this mission. “To inspire the personal development of each sister and perpetuate the advancement of womanhood.”

Pi Beta Phi- I love the meaning behind the wine carnation as their flower.

Sigma Delta Tau- I love their badge, flower, and purpose

Sigma Kappa- I know one and she is so cool. I love their dove and motto.

Sigma Sigma Sigma- Vision statement: Sigma Sigma Sigma inspires exceptional life long learning and friendships.

Theta Phi Alpha- I love that their symbol is a compass, and “Our mascot, the penguin, was chosen in the 1980s because it is the symbol of friendship.” Is so nice.

Zeta Tau Alpha- I love “Seek the noblest” and that they support Breast Cancer Awareness.
