Good show tonight!! I was really starting to like the Russian-especially when he was with Brady- and then he told Carrie that he would never change his mind about kids, and I liked him a little less after that. But I did like the theme of the show-about seperating what you want to do and what you sometimes feel like you should do.
And I loved Sam getting the nun the appointment!! That was so funny!

Sigh....I can't believe there are only 5 shows left...:(

I'm really glad Samantha got the nun an appointment, too. I was worried that she would forget about her. I was cracking up when she rolled in there with her habit on!

This was a great episode tonight. The Russian keeps growing on me. I like that he was so upfront with her. That trait makes him better than Big. Just that one thing, though, lol. Carrie's "classic LV" was cool too.

The scene with Samantha and the first doctor was funny.

I didn't need to see that much of Steve either. I was cracking up when he started washing Miranda's hair.

HAHA I loved the whole Miranda and Steve stuff...it totally cracked me up. SOOOO classic Miranda.

But Alexander Petrovsky really made me mad. I mean it WAS good that he was upfront with her....definitely better than Big....but I still think Carrie should break up with him....I mean hes a great guy, but I don't think its fair to Carrie never to be able to have children if she stays with him. I know I wouldn't want to stay with him after hearing that because I definitely want kid(s?) some day.

And Samantha cracked me up as usual....it was so cute when she got that appointment for the nun. Also, the masturbation comment to the nun cracked me up!

And Charlotte as usual was hilarious....but I totally would have freaked out too if a little kid caught me having sex.....all I have to ask is WHY did theuy have the baby in their room when their apartment is humongous??

i think it was implied that they broke up... or am i the only one who got that impression?

I don't think they broke up b/c the previews for next week showed them going out on a date. I think the ending meant that she's still trying to figure out what she wants.....a kid or the Russian.

I really liked the episode, the whole soul searching about what you really want out of life... was very happy that Samantha also used her influence to get the nun an appointment!

They do end up going to Paris before the season is out...Petrovsky did mention that his daughter and ex-wife live there. Maybe it's a plot tie-in?

OK who else on here wants Big to come back in the picture? All in favor say "I" I heard somewhere that this season there's supposed to be 3 weddings and a funeral...Now I don't know if Charolette's marriage counds since it was last season..who knows. But I am still not crazy about the Russian..he's grown on me...but I am still not convinced he's for Carrie.

If I could choose, I'd want it to be Aiden...but not going to happen.

No, I don't feel they broke up at all! As she was thinking (via voiceovers) that she still didn't know if she cared enough about him to forgo kids, he wrapped her in his jacket and she thought something like "but I'm getting warmer". I thought she looked very content in his arms.

Okay, did everyone else think that Smith with a shaved head was quite possibly the HOTTEST thing I have EVER seen. I thought he was way hot before but last night, I seriously fell in LUST. I love he and Samantha together! Actually, I just really liked last nights show--especially when Carrie was talking about what Samantha meant to her--"She can't die because I could not live without her".
God, I am going to miss that show

When Carrie and Aleksander (sp?) had their fight, I was so, SO hoping it would be the end. He should have been a two-episode boyfriend at the most! End our misery and bring back Big!

I only caught the ending but I loved the fact that Smith shaved his head!

I loved Sam's pink hair. That was funny. I think it is great that Smith shaved his head, wether Sam likes it or not they are a "couple". :)

I thought the puppy Elizabeth Taylor was cute, I can't believe they got Dame Maggie Smith to play on SATC. Wow.

--For the record, I only watch it with my GF. We made a compromise since I made her sit through and watch the first three seasons of the Sopranos on DVD.

I LOVED last nights episode!! I cried through it. Like, the bathroom scene with Smith and Samantha when he was like, what makes you think I can't handle this, let me be there for you-and then he shaved their heads!! I seriously cried through that whole scene. I heart that boy.

And when Charlotte got the puppy and said, can we keep her-and Harry says we can keep anything that makes you smile like that-yep, cried again. I heart him too.

I want Big to come back though!! I still just don't luff Alexsandr.

I totally missed that it was Dame Maggie Smith--thought it was that woman from The Addams Family and some other movie (forget right now). Was her name in the credits?

yeah Dame Smith was that older artistic lady making Sarah Jessica Parker buy a plate for like $200,000 and what not.

She is also the teacher in the Harry Potter movies.

That wasn't Dame Maggie Smith...that was someone else entirely who gave Charlotte the dog. I can't think of her name, but she has been in tons of other stuff.

I can't think of that actress' name either. It's not Maggie Smith, though. Naming the dog Elizabeth Taylor Goldenbatt was pretty cute.

The funniest thing was the Russian killing the mouse. And then the other one crawling in Carrie's hair. I wonder if we'll actually see Big next week or just hear his voice.

I liked Samantha's Lil' Kim wig.

When Smith shaved his head, it may have been the sweetest thing i've ever seen on tv.. he is too adorable.

I saw SATC for the first time last night... and it was really cute. That Smith guy is hot, and he gets the Cutie award for shaving his head, which really only made him hotter.

The guest star, to tie in GC, was also in Legally Blonde 2 as a Delta Nu Alum.

My question: How did they hide SJP's pregnancy in real life on the show? Did they not shoot while she was pregnant?

Her name is Dana Ivey. She played Sandra Bullock's mom in Two Weeks Notice.

They showed her in baggier fashions. If you look at the SATC scrapbook on www.hbo.com, you'll see there were a lot of tunic-type pieces that SJP wore.

Last night show was so funny. I am liking the russian more and more.

I like him less and less all the time. She is trying so hard to please him and do the "right" thing by him. It shouldn't be that hard this early in a relationship.

I was proud of her for 'deleting' Big because, although I like their chemistry, he's a dead end road that she's travelled too often.

last night show was really cute...the whole samantha smith thing though was kinda wierd in a very funny way..esp when Miranda found that stuff on the internet..ugh..that would be awful to find that of your best friend!!!

Didn't like the Russian that much last night. He was just old and grouchy.

Man this episode had me crying. I can't believe Carrie quit her job in New York so she can move to Paris! I'm not too crazy about the Russian now. And I don't think they are going to kill Samantha off. I remember someone posting earlier about 2 weddings and a funeral....now all three events have happened so I have hope for keeping Sam alive!

How could she quit her job and leave NY? For Big, maybe, for the Russian, no. I was pissed along with Miranada. The scene after the funeral between them was great. Lexi falling out of the window was too funny.....I was wondering where the title of this episode came from. ;)
