If you have Windows (and I don't know about other systems), hitting the Alt key and 0176 will give you the degree sign. It's only fair to pass on info that others were kind enough to share!

They are. In very cold weather, I wrap mine over my head and across my nose and mouth, and I'm toasty warm. :)

It actually tried to snow here yesterday!!! Which is a big deal for me being from the frigid north. ;) After ER there were some decent sized snowflakes, but by the time my friends and I got our shoes and jackets on it was dying down. We went to the beach anyway.

It also snowed a day or so after New Year - but it was at 4:30 in the morning and I shouldn't have been awake. hehe

It's 12 degrees, but it feels colder with the wind chill. :(

And it was 82° last week. WTF???

It's -27*C (-17*F) out right now but with the wind it's -40*C (-40*F) i was outside for 10 minutes and had some minor frostbite on my face. It's damn cold out!

It was 19 degree's when I drove into work this morning but the REALLY fun thing was they didn't turn the heat on in my office area this whole weekend, so it was 42 degree's when I walked in this morning. I have been here for almost 3 hours and I have yet to remove my coat or my gloves!!

It's 9 degrees just 20 minutes northwest of the city!!! And tonight it's supposed to be 0 to -5 degrees. I'd cry but my tears would probably freeze on my face!

I have literally never been in weather this cold.

Well we no longer have the cold artic air blowing through, now it's the Pineapple Express; however the sudden temperature increase and torential rain (the Tropical Punch) which is dumping between 30-300mm in some areas (yes that's a foot of rain in 24 hours) is causing havoc. Tonnes of rain plus melting snow is flooding the greater Vancouver Area. The only plus to all this weather fun, is the warmer weather (from a high of -2 celcius to a high of 9 celcius).

It was 25 here this morning when I woke up. That is entirely too cold for I live! Its 31 now and I'm freezing my butt off!

My dad"s in Lawrenceville, GA/Madison, GA today and it's just below freezing. He was talking about bringing the dog in cuz it's "so bad." LOL!

the high in morgantown today is 18. it was a beautiful, tropical climate of "5 but feels like -3 degrees" when i went to my 10 AM this morning.

it is a brisk 7 degrees here. without the windchill. and naturally, my dog wants to go for long walks. must be nice to be a black cocker spainiel with a full coat.

It is currently 5° above, going down to zero. I just put the trash out. brrr :(

On my way out to work this morning, I grabbed my heavier winter coat and my pashmina because it was so cold. Too bad I forgot to grab my gloves out of my lighter coat. It's fun trying to drive with the ends of a pashmina shawl wrapped around your hands. I'm keeping a pair of gloves in the car from now on... now I know why cars come equipped with glove compartments.

My car didn't want to start this evening. I think it's smarter than I am.

Its been cool and grey here for the last week. I am sick of it. I need sun. Its supposed to be sunny tomorrow and for the rest of the week. Highs in the 70's. I cant wait.

Its so cold that I had to give up trying to pump gas a couple minutes into the process. And my dad STILL keeps the thermostat at 50 degrees at night (heat is one place iwill NEVER be cheap with when i have a home of my own!)

I already miss the unseasonably record high Jan. temps. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Mummers Day Parade withOUT a jacket and withOUT shivering this year!!

It's 3 degrees, at 2:35 am, and I have to go outside to put my sheets and towels in the dryer! I also have to be up in another hour or so to get them out. I would just forget them, but I have to sleep and shower...:(

5 degrees this morning when I left for work. It was supposed to be below zero last night in some of the suburbs, although it was right around 0 where I live.

Right now its 14 degrees (but it feels liek -2 with the windchill) and surprize surprize our heater isn't working right! our heat is stuck at 60 and won't budge. And according to our landlord this is our fault for not putting plastic on our windows........ i'm so cold!

I know it's nothing compared to what y'all are going through up North but it's abnormally cold for Central Florida.

I'm SO glad that I got reacclimated to the cold weather. I have only buttoned my jacket around 4 times this winter so far - seriously. Those were only because it was REALLY windy while shoveling the 8 inches of snow from my sidewalks and driveway on Saturday (temp was in the teens and I don't know exactly what the windchill was but I'm sure it was zero if not slightly below). The other times were the weekend before last when we had highs in the negative 20s with windchills around minus 30s or so. I did wear gloves while shoveling otherwise I don't wear them (though I should because I have had mild frostbite TOO many times over the years).

I was outisde yesterday helping my brother switch cars around in my garage (I either have the Porsche or the Audi in my garage because I'm a nice sister with an empty side of a double garage) and didn't bother with a coat because it wasn't too bad out (sunny and around zero). I actually contemplated not wearing a coat today because it was in the 20s. . . Yup, I'm definitely back in WI and used to it! LOL Give me the cold and snow ANY DAY over heat and humidity (I was dying down in Fort Lauderdale in December when it was in the 70s and humid! But LOVING Dayton when it was around 30 or so!)
