The University of Iowa has postponed recruitment this year for all organizations. "The rush delays this fall are more significant for sororities. Where sorority shoppers last year spent Aug. 23 through Sept. 3 getting oriented to the Greek system, meeting with different chapters, expressing their preferences and awaiting an invitation, this year’s process has been bumped to Sept. 26 through Oct. 7." Bolded words by me. I was slightly amused by the term. |

CSULB AOII has 24 new members
San Jose State AOII has 37 new members Quota at East Carolina was 48 Also Alpha Chi Omega is NOT founding a new chapter at Northern Arizona this fall, this extension is NOT listed on their website for future chapters either. |

[QUOTECSULB AOII has 24 new members][/QUOTE] Very happy for AOII as this chapter has struggled to find new members over the decades. :) Also they had an upsetting event at the end of the spring semester when the chapter house caught on fire. Hoping that all of the restoration/repair work was able to be completed over the summer. With the Gamma Phi Beta chapter coming in at 30, I'm guessing that quota was around 30 for 2019 formal recruitment. I've been told that the campus chapter total is 80. |

I wonder what happened there. Looking at the pictures online, it's hard to tell if the photo is of just the new members or the whole chapter. |

Sonoma State Recruitment
The campus changed recruitment this year from 4 rounds all on Labor Day weekend (including the Friday), to 3 rounds in mid-Sept. They also added a non-mandatory "meet the sororities" about a week before recruitment called "House Tours" (even though there is no greek housing.) The House Tours was a mini round one, with all 6 panhellenic chapters meeting the potential PNMs for 15 minute rounds. There are two locals on this campus and they are Panhel-Associate members, but they did not participate. So prior years the 4 rounds were: Open House (all 6 chapters), Philanthropy (max 5 chapters), Sisterhood/Theme (max 4), Preference (max 2). The new 3 rounds are: Sisterhood (all 6 chapters), Philanthropy (max 4) and Preference (2). There were about 15% fewer PNMs this year, while enrollment was down 12% (275 PNMs, a few years ago it was 600!) I believe the change was triggered by the sororities feeling that recruitment was too intense time-wise. I do not know how they adjusted the RFM figures since they dropped a round. Quota was 32, AOII matched 32 new members. It looked like all the chapters made quota ( from watching the "running home" and giving up on trying to count!) |

I agree that 47 seems very high for the CSULB Tri Delta chapter photo if everyone else is in the low thirties. |

Sorry about the incorrect number for Tri Delta at Jacksonville. It was 15. I should have checked my typing before entering the number.

Univ of Ill: PNMs 1045 (definitely fewer than previous years)
Quota = 40, AOII welcomed 43 new members Total is now at 178 |

CSULB Panhellenic mentioned that Tri Delta is one of the four sororities participating in COB so I suspect that the 47 number for a New Member class is a mix of actives and new members in the photo. |
University of Illinois, Alpha Phi (Beta Alpha): 42. I was told that the highest number in a pledge class this year was 45, and the lowest was 35. 844 participated in Pref. Not sure how many signed bid cards.
