Did anyone figure out who this writer is?

I just read through all of the recruitment stories by this writer and they are hilarious. It is obvious none of them are real, or at least completely real. The writing has a very familiar sassy-southern-women’s book vibe. Now I am dying to know who it is. Anyone have an idea? I am not familiar enough with the genre to guess.

Ps I recommend the PNW thread in case you wonder if I am being too suspicious. Things get very wacky in that one.

Anyway, whoever you are, brava(o) for your ability to entertain.

I’m six years late to this party but as an Alabama graduate, I especially enjoyed this one. I hope OP’s daughter enjoyed her time in Tuscaloosa as a DG. I still haven’t been able to identify which nickname went with my sorority and it’s driving me crazy!

We doubted that it was real at all.

Hey, you would have rushed at Bama at the same time our niece did! She's a Chi O.

This thread was like the appetizer…she didn’t really “jump the shark” so to speak until the one in the northwest…that just got really bizarre.

My capacity for suspending disbelief has officially reached its limit.

I think of that quote often!

I think she was heavily inspired by the author/essayist Florence King; her writing tone and voice is so similar.

You and me both. But not in the realm of rush stories. :(

Ugh, it’s fake?!?!? I admit I was a bit taken aback by the number of kids she claimed to have and how they were all college students in frats/sororities. I know some people have huge families but it was a bit unusual. Oh well, it was fun to read, even if it was likely a work of fiction.

I have a huge number of kids and most are Greek. It was all the fakey details and things that kept piling up--that's where she rapidly lost her credibility.

Lmao! Last week my coworker was reciting this giant story about all her recent absences and I thought of it!

The late, great Florence King! So I'm not her only fan!
