HC I don't drive to work and it happened after I had already got on the train this morning? HC I found out from a call from my neighbor? HC I've been digging my very fine, very single neighbor for a while now? HC we exchanged numbers over the weekend and his first call to me was to tell me that I was in the process of having a boot put on my car? HC I was sooooooooooo embarrassed? HC I thought of this smilie :o and actually made that face when he told me? HC after I got over the embarrassment, I got pissed and actually made this face :mad: ? HC it was because I knew I didn't have any damn tickets? (Ok, I do have one that I haven't paid, but it's only like $15) HC I immediately went to City Hall, who sent me to the Secretary of State, who sent me to a hearing officer, who are all in different buildings? HC they had said I had a $500 ticket from last year and would have to pay a total of $675 to get my car de-booted? :eek: HC I asked to see a copy of the ticket and the clerk got a straight up attitude? HC the ticket had my plate number, but was issued to a green Suburban with plates that expire in 4/02? HC my car is not a truck and is black and my plates expire in 8/02? HC the address where the ticket was issued is on a side of town that I would never dare venture? HC clearly, the issuing officer made a mistake when writing the plate number? HC I moved like a year ago and the notices were going to the old address and I was never notified? HC black folks always want to say they weren't notified about something, but I swear, I wasn't? HC I actually had to go to court, in front of a hearing officer and an audience and plead my case? HC I drew on inspiration from Maxine Shaw - Attorney at Law? HC after presenting all my evidence, the hearing officer agreed with me and her judgment was that I was "erroneously booted"? HC that hilarious term in itself was worth all the hassle? HC I got all this done in like two hours? HC on my way back to work, I called my neighbor to try to redeem some sense of dignity and he told me that whatever I did worked, because the boot had already been removed? HC I hope he's never scared to ride somewhere with me, in fear that I may get booted? HC today really made me realize how you never know what lies ahead of you? HC this morning when I woke up, I had no idea that I would be representing myself in a court of law? HC dang, life is just funny like that? |

HC I realized who she was? HC I was too outdone? HC this chick was standing there in the middle of the street thinking someone was going to pick her up? HC in the MIDDLE OF THE STREET and LESS than 100 feet from the school? HC she was out there for like 20 minutes? HC this girl has issues? HC she begs students for their food? HC she eats food out of the garbage can in the cafeteria? HC she has SERIOUS EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS? HC I didn't pick her up? HC 1: she has issues? HC2: I didn't know if she had "flipped out"?
