I had one like that too. You don't exercise your options, it can turn around and bite you in the ass. And you got no one to blame but yourself

My BF from HS's daughter just pledged Phi Mu at Nicholls and is ecstatic!

Yay! That gets me really excited! Please tell her that a Phi Mu alumna would like to say "Welcome to the sisterhood" !!! :D

Jill, I agree. When are young ladies going to realize they must maximize their options (especially if they have age, grades, etc.) going against them at COMPETITIVE schools? I am so bummed by that news. :(

I had three of mine do that. Unfortunate.

I sure will. Her mom knew nothing about sororities so I coached her about keeping an open mind, etc. She had a great time and coasted through recruitment right into the arms of her new sisters.

Thrilled to report that my niece is an AOPi at an undisclosed SEC school. My daughter and I are a little bummed that the "O" is not a triangle, but we are so happy for her.

Sorry for the delay. Motherboard on desktop was fried this weekend and totally FUBAR. (don't ask) :mad:
Desktop is out of commission until sometime next month after DH returns from traveling

Finally hooked up new laptop and backed up my first post so I won't lose it--again.

For the first time in my life, someone I already knew became an Alpha Gam :) A girl from my daughter's marching band went Alpha Gamma Delta at Wayne State in Detroit. I didn't do a rec because I didn't even know she was going through recruitment! Until now though, all the Alpha Gams I know were Alpha Gams when I met them (or PNMs). This is a new feeling! I'm thinking about going to their Initiation. Another girl from the same high school also went Alpha Gam at Wayne but I don't know her personally.

I think I am all caught up. Please be patient with me. My internet at home is down. Qwest has a tech coming to my house on Thursday and I don't trust trying to update my list on the iPhone. (I am in Panera bread with my laptop now)
