I understand how quota is calculated but based on this do chapters only have 28 actives recruiting (and correction on qouta from 103 to actually 102)??:

[QUOTE=AU_ZTA86;1973732]I understand how quota is calculated but based on this do chapters only have 28 actives recruiting (and correction on qouta from 103 to actually 102)??:
University of Arkansas Fayetteville, AR: August 16-21, 2010 Quota=102 Campus Total=130 Quota last year=68 Registered PNMs= Quota is the number of pledges a chapter can take during rush. Total is the number of members (pledges AND actives) each chapter is allowed to have. Quota is determined by how many women go through rush. If it is large enough to put chapters over total, that doesn't matter - each chapter can still take quota. Does that clear it up? |
Exactly. Total can be 130 yet every chapter may have 220 members. Just means Panhellenic has not yet voted to raise total. It just means that the chapters can't COR because they are already at or over total. However, chapters are always (except at Ohio State LOL) allowed to take quota, even if that puts them over total.
So, if total at Arkansas was 130 2 years ago, and most chapters were actually around that size, but last year most chapters took, say 90 new members and only lost 40 seniors, then took 100 new members this year, the chapters might have 280 members but total is still officially 130. It happens at some schools. |

Based on ads in the campus newspaper here are some numbers for TCU:
Alpha Chi: 54 Delta Delta Delta: 52 ZTA: 49 Theta: 53 names listed, but reliable source (national officer) posted it as 55 in our forum. I will follow up with one of the TCU Theta advisors to clarify. Pi Phi: 53 Gamma Phi: only picture, no names :( I tried to count the new members by their shirts, but there are a few faces that do not have a shirt visable. ADPi: listed elsewhere on GC as 50 The rest of the groups should have ads run sometime this week. I had heard that quota was 55 from our national officer, but this seems questionable given the results above. I will confirm that, too, with friends who are on campus.
