That is fantastic news!! I heard that my old chapter made quota+1, but I didn't realize all the houses did so well. Did they do something differently this year? Great news for Pitt Greeks!

I heard that Quota at BGSU was 17.

Kappa Delta has 18 new members and is now the largest chapter on campus. This is a major accomplishment as they were reorganized Fall 2006. Lots of hard work over the last three years!

Seriously. When is the last time that that happened??? They had 3 prefs this year instead of 2 - right? But I can't see that making that big of a difference. 18 is the highest quota at Pitt than I can remember since I rushed in '99, and for every house to have taken quota is unbelievable. Especially since there is one particular house that has never seemed to WANT to be at or near total.

I would guess that most houses are over total, or very near. Perhaps more talk will take place re: expansion or increasing total?

I cannot believe this! When I rushed (Fall 03), only 3/11 made quota! I would love to know what they are doing differently!

Thanks for posting. My cousin was an Alpha Gam at Marietta back in the 70s. I was accepted, but finally decided the school was too small. I always wondered if I went there if I would have gone Greek too.

Over on the DG forum, they said all chapters made at least quota ;-)

Benzgirl 09-20-2009 10:07 AM

Irishpipes,
Tri Sigma closed at Marietta in either 97 or 98.

CougarGrad 09-20-2009 10:08 AM

Bid Day at Texas A&M-Commerce was yesterday. Quota was 6, and Alpha Phi took 8.

ADqtPiMel 09-20-2009 10:23 AM

All chapters at George Washington University took at least quota (37) except for SDT, who only missed it by one.

StormySkydancer 09-20-2009 02:11 PM

Northern Michigan University Marquette, MI: September 14-19, 2009
Quota=6
Campus Total=35
Quota Last Year=9
**************
Alpha Xi Delta Delta Delta 1962
Delta Zeta Zeta Omega 1963-1982
Chi Omega Iota Theta 1968-1982
Sigma Kappa Epsilon Pi 1969-1972
Sigma Sigma Sigma Delta Epsilon 1970-1979

Alpha Gamma Delta Zeta Upsilon 1989
Phi Sigma Sigma Theta Alpha 1993

Bid Day was yesterday -- Alpha Xi Delta bid 2 ladies, Alpha Gamma Delta bid 6, Phi Sigma Sigma bid 6, and Kappa Beta Gamma (Lambda chapter, 2002; participates in Panhellenic recruitment on campus) bid 6 as well.

COB starts at 5pm today and it sounds like all chapters are planning on COB/COR. All chapters are still at least 9 below total (which will be revised this fall, along with the format of Formal recruitment)

I could be wrong, but I would almost swear quota was 7. I will double check.

Gamma Phi Beta at Texas A&M Commerce took 7.

I believe Chi Omega took 7 and Kappa Delta took 6, but don't quote me. I was trying to count girls as they ran out of the student union.

CubbieBlue 09-20-2009 09:41 PM

Is this the second or third year of Release Figures? Either way, I'd say it's working!

It will be fascinating to see if they go for a higher total or expansion first. Which sorority was last to leave, Theta?

Thanks for posting results CubbieBlue! Any word on the other chapters?

BTW - Does anyone know how these results are possible? If quota was 13, I though each chapter could only receive 1 quota addition?

If the campus is using RFM then the quota is set to best maximize PNMs choices and try to get every chapter as close to quota as possible. PNMs that maximized their choices but don't match under quota are then added
as quota additions. When using RFM the previous 5% cap on quota additions is no longer used.

Information from Southern Mississippi website:
According to a brief summary of NPC recruitment these comments were posted:

There are seven NPC chapters. Bids were received by 245 pnms. Of these 222 were matched to a first choice. Matched to a second choice were 22. (One appears to be missing.)

In an earlier post Phi Mu had 35. Tri Delta also had 35.
Here is the link for the complete list of new members for the seven chapters:

Anyone have any TX State news?

AOII*Azra-elle 09-21-2009 11:02 PM

Appalachian State had quota of 28 and 1 addition.
All chapters, for the first time EVER, were able to bid quota plus 1!!
I don't know how all the other orgs did, but AOII extended 29 bids. For their first year on their own, they had all 29 ladies accept their bids!!

I also heard from the CA from University of Northern Colorado. She said that the AOII chapter there took quota plus for 20 new pandas! I'm not sure what quota was or how the other orgs did, but I wanted to pass that along as well! :)

I'm a sorority member at Marshall, and these were the results from Spring 2009. This fall's results were:

Alpha Chi Omega- 16
Alpha Xi Delta- 16 (I believe they are at total)
Phi Mu- 14
Sigma Sigma Sigma- 9
Delta Zeta- 13

I'm pretty sure some chapters are still snap bidding, and I don't think our PHC uses a quota system.

FSUZeta 09-25-2009 09:01 AM
