i've only seen one episode all the way through, cute show but my schedule doesn't allow me to watchas much television as i used to. i didn't think i was missing anything.

however, i just downloaded the season 1 soundtrack (v1 and v2) and i LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about it and now i have to go buy season 1 dvd to make up for lost time. :)

Is that what she's doing now?!? I saw her years ago in Les Mis - she played Eponine, and did an awesome job.

slight hijack: Eponine is one of those roles that seems hard to please audiences. People complain that she's either too whiny or not whiny enough. I was lucky enough to have seen Frances Ruffelle play the role on Broadway in the late 80s, and was pleasantly surprised by Sutton Foster when I saw it again years later. \end hijack

Back to the topic: I'd LOVE to see Sutton on Glee!

I just read the following...

OK, the news flowing from "Glee" keeps getting better and better.

On the heels of news that the FOX show is courting Jennifer Lopez for a guest appearance later this season, there's word that "How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris may be next in line to show up in Lima, Ohio.

What's more, according to multiple reports, he may appear in the episode that Joss Whedon is directing toward the close of the season. A "Dr. Horrible" reunion on "Glee"? Our TV-geek brains just wrinkled a little

http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethe...e-reunion.html

Now this just excites me because I'm a HUGE Buffy fan, so Joss Whedon ROCKS!!!! So cool that he is directing an episode. He directed the Buffy musical episode, he can easily do Glee

Onto Idina news....

"Glee" has wasted no time in getting Idina Menzel into the thick of the action. A makeout scene featuring the leaders of New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline. Just let that roll around in your head until "Glee" returns on April 13.

http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethe...h-mr-schu.html

You know, I don't care who Idina makes out with, just please have her sing!!!!!!

No nationals this season...

Well this was a no brainer for me, but here is the report...

"Glee" spent 13 episodes before the show choir at McKinley High School got to its first big competition, and it's not going to rush things when it comes back either.

Co-creator Ryan Murphy said Monday (Jan. 18) that the remaining nine episodes of the season will focus on New Directions' preparations for the regionals -- where they'll come up against their nemesis, Vocal Adrenaline.

"The back nine is the road to regionals, and the last episode, the finale, is regionals," Murphy told reporters on a visit to the show's set. Nationals, if the glee club makes it that far, would come into the picture in season 2, he says. Vocal Adrenaline won't make it easy: Murphy also says that an earlier allusion to Adrenaline cheating to win will come back around in the second half of the season

I'm so looking foward to the show starting!!!!!

PeppyGPhiB 04-12-2010 01:01 AM

Some Glee fans (choreographers) got together a flash mob in Seattle yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7CcwLK9iDg&NR=1

A couple friends of mine attended the dance rehearsals for it, and they had a blast yesterday. They had at least 800 participants.

ms_gwyn 04-13-2010 01:18 PM

So Glee is coming back on tonight and yet I will not be watching it....thank god for Hulu...cause I will not miss Lost for anything....

christiangirl 04-13-2010 08:17 PM

Just set the DVR....but I'll be home to watch it. :o

LucyKKG 04-13-2010 08:46 PM

Wait, is it really on at 9:28? Weird...ok, I seriously need to figure out how to work my parents' TV right now. They totally have DVR, but I never watch shows on there - only online. I wanted to find someone to watch it with but didn't really plan it very well. It's always awkward when I have friend here, too. Haha greeeeat...ok, I can totally program this thing!

ETA: I figured it out! I'm recording Glee and Lost. Somehow, I don't think I'll be able to watch them on the TV before they're available online tomorrow. My parents will probably fight me off to watch American Idol and/or Dancing with the Stars. Dibs!! I call dibs!!!

jennyj87 04-13-2010 09:36 PM

GAHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE THIS SHOW TOO MUCh. I love shoe :)

ms_gwyn 04-14-2010 02:04 AM

I did catch a little bit of Idina on there...NOW THEY NEED TO GET SUTTON FOSTER...SERIOUSLY!

christiangirl 04-14-2010 02:11 AM

Nooooo enough Idina for me, but I did get a mini-fix. She was HILARIOUS: "Are you gay? Most of the show choir directors I make out with are gay." :D

LucyKKG 04-14-2010 02:11 AM

"Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?" Hahah I was about to post that as my status on FB but two of my friends already did.

If I ever meet a guy who can sing like some of the guys on Glee...oh dear, I can't even say what might happen to him!!

I wondered if that's what she said! I wasn't sure if I'd heard that right!

And don't even get me started on men who can sing, Lucy. I'm still recovering from LA.....

PeppyGPhiB 04-14-2010 02:42 PM

I think Brittany is the most underrated character on Glee. She had some great lines last night, and her timing and delivery are perfect:
("Rachel's kinda cool")
"That's mean, Finn."

"Mine had a mouse in it."

"Did you know dolphins are just gay sharks?"

"Sometimes I forget my middle name."

AOII Angel 04-14-2010 02:43 PM

Gotta say it..."I HATE this show!!!" And my husband tortures me singing along and trying to make me sing along too. Someone kill me please!

I've been saying this since she first came on the show! Her 'a ballad is a male duck' line is still one of my favorites. She's hilarious

ColdInCanada11 04-14-2010 03:35 PM

I wish I had Brittany's insights into the animal world. Maybe then I wouldn't hate bio classes so much:p

You do realize this is a thread for people who LIKE the show right?

Does your husband put a gun to your head and force you to watch the show? Because I'm not quite understanding your desire to post in a thread that is for FANS of the show. If you HATE the show as much as you claim, DON'T FRICKING WATCH IT. And yes, I put that in caps on purpose.

If you need to vent, well that is what Facebook is for. Or just go start another thread with the title "all those who hate glee come here".

That is awesome! Last time I was there on a Saturday, there was just a guy shouting about how Jesus will save you. This is so much better.

I have to say, sometimes it's hard being on the west coast with the whole time zone thing. I saw several Facebook statuses with the shark comment, and I was utterly confused for a couple of hours. And then BAM! I got it :D

LOVE! I'm still giggling about Brittany last night.

ASUADPi 04-14-2010 10:05 PM

The Brittany line I keep remembering is from sectionals when Mercedes says (something along the lines) that she figured Santana told Rachel that Puck was the father because they (Santana and Puck) were dating and Santana replied that "sex was not dating" and then Brittany said something along the lines of "Santana and I would be dating". LMAO.

I love Brittany, she cracks me up. I hope they "use" the actress more often because she is obviously one of those triple threats, she can sing, dance and act.

What does everyone think will happen with Santana and Brittany when it comes to Cheerios?

My coworker told me today that she read online that everyone is supposed to sing in next weeks eppy, so hopefully we will get to hear Idina.

Sorry, word from the IMMB (the messsage board on Idina's official site) is that she won't show up again for another 3 weeks. :( But it also says that she is for sure in 5 episodes this season and that she WILL sing, just dunno which ep that's in or what song.

I think she sings a duet with Rachel.

I am bummed that Idina and Kristin won't be on together. That would have been awesome.

My question would be, why would a producer states that Idina is to be in the last 9 episodes and there are now only 8 left, it wouldn't make sense for her not to be in 3 of the 8 left. That doesn't make any sense to me. But the producer is human, so maybe he made a mistake.

Either way, I'm just happy that Idina is on the show.

Kristin Chenoworth to reprise her role as April Rhodes.

http://popwatch.ew.com/2009/10/26/gl...julia-roberts/

We have even MORE Glee news to deliver, PopWatchers: Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) will reprise her role as the boozy glee alum April Rhodes for at least one episode in 2010. (Listen to her sing “Maybe This Time” in the window below.)

Okay now I'm SUPER excited. Can we have some scenes of Idina and Kristin together? Can we have them sing together? :D

Well one can dream. LOL

edit: I just thought of it. Maybe Idina's character "steals" April knowing that she hasn't graduated from high school and gets her to sing for Vocal Adrenaline.

christiangirl 04-15-2010 08:33 PM

As of now, Idina and Kristen are said not to have any scenes together but can they PLEASE just bust one out as a surprise? Pretty please?!?!

What I wouldn't give for "April" to look at "Shelby" with disdain and say, "I hope you're happy." :D

ROTFLMAO

1stSoon2BePhD 04-18-2010 06:37 PM

I am sorry if this was already discussed but I thought the lead of Vocal Adrenaline setting up Rachel was really predictable. I think I would have been more shocked to find that he was really interested in her (not that anyone ever is) but maybe I'm the only one who feels that way... thoughts?

(again, sorry if this was already discussed. I admittedly did not go back to read what was already written.)

That was my "goodbye" for my friends when I moved last December. I left the lyrics on their FB walls. I really wanted to give my very good friend the glitter globe that plays it but I didn't need $100 worth of goodbye--a free one would do! lol

They made it known because after he kissed Rachel, he made eye contact with the coach of Vocal Adrenaline who was on stage but off in the wing so as to appear dark and ominous.

I just thought it was a little too predictable. I would have liked for someone to finally like Rachel ... but maybe that will be a twist later! I don't know...
