I think so, but she is not as interested as Daddy. lol.

Somebody should probably tell Sammi Jo's mom (the woman who says she only wanted a daughter for the purpose of grooming her to be Miss America), that most Miss America contestants aren't the "I've been doing pageants since I ws born" type. lol.

SMTTT 01-13-2011 01:04 AM

I've never watched this show, but the other day it was on my friend's TV and this brat/child was on...I can't even imagine what she's going to be like at 16

What was with the redheaded puppet and crazy-eyed Mom at the Oklahoma pageant? And the girl who went onstage and did some cartwheels and then tried to sing Mary Had a Little Lamb? Where do they find these freaks?

Kappamd 01-13-2011 11:44 AM

I thought Jaclyn was adorable, but she's going to be a fiesty one when she grows up. At least her parents seemed a little more grounded than the others.

I paid $2500 for my dress + shipping from Ireland, so I made sure I took more care of that thing than I did myself. I wore my dress for the minimum amount of time I had to at a feis, kept it in the double layer protective case at home, and made sure it was always safe. While it might be so extreme, I'm guessing it's a similar situation in pageant dresses. Once you retire from Irish dance, or you want a new dress, you sell the old one to pay for the new one. It's pretty common to see ID dresses that were owned for 2+ years, but only worn 4-7 times.

There's not much Irish dancing here, but I've always thought about making not only pageant dresses, but ice skating costumes. I'll have to think about Irish dancing now, though when I Googled some of the dresses my eyes popped. That might be a little much for me! But they're gorgeous!

The older sister reminded me of the actress Hallie Hirsch.

YES! I couldn't think of actress's name, only that she was Rachel Greene on ER.

Because many of them are, to use a completely un-PC term, PWT.

GC used to have a perpy pageant contestant. Oh, the memoriez.

Sadly that KD perp had a daughter with yet another babydaddy and now has her on the pageant circuit. PWT indeed.

Yes! I have seen the pictures!:eek::eek:

I've seen my share of not-so-cute kids, but why make up your baby girl like a corpse?

BAckbOwlsgIrl 01-27-2011 12:19 AM

Some of the Mom's should be contestants on Biggest Loser!
Brenna was a piece of work. Where is the Super Nanny when you need her?

KSUViolet06 02-17-2011 01:14 AM

I wonder if any of these people realize that if you spend $5,000 and you win Grand Whatever Supreme and cash prize for that is $2,000--you, um, didn't actually WIN anything.

I'm slightly disturbed by tonight's mom saying "Thesee are good practice for my daughter's future. She's eventually going to be a wife and mom. Pageants are good practice for finding a husband because your husband has needs and he's going to expect you to look like this all the time." WTF?

KSUViolet06 02-17-2011 02:13 AM

A lot of moms use the rationale of "oh I just want her to become more confident/outgoing."

I'm not sure if they realize that there are TONS of activities that help kids to become "more outgoing" that do not involve spray tans/make up/creepiness.

Just say what you want to say, which is "she is doing these because I want her to do them." lol.

That's either a joke or an example of what happens when mentally imbalanced people have children.

I saw that, yesterday. I was looking for some citations to other news outlets but couldn't find them. I guess I can google it.

ETA: It's all over the blogs, but I don't see any other "news" sites. I guess we'll never know.

carnation 05-13-2011 12:19 PM

That crazy Botox mom actually went onto national TV and not only talked about giving her child Botox but had herself filmed doing it. She is now being investigated by Child Protective Services in San Francisco.

LXA SE285 05-13-2011 04:56 PM

Aside from the fact that this woman is nuts, I find it frightening that you can apparently just order Botox online.

BetteDavisEyes 05-13-2011 09:12 PM

I saw her interview & the pictures she posted of her giving the Botox injections to her little girl. Disturbing doesn't seem to even begin to describe this behavior. It was appalling and VERY scary and gave further proof that some idiots should NEVER have children.

DaffyKD 05-14-2011 04:32 PM

The botox discussion began months ago on Greekchat, why is San Francisco only now beginning an investigation?

Toddlers and Tiaras is back tonight. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited, lol.

carnation 06-15-2011 09:21 PM

Do we get to see Muh-kenzie and her nayee-nayee?

KSUViolet06 06-15-2011 10:19 PM

Thank goodness the paci is gone, but OMG at what it did to her teeth.

HannahXO 06-15-2011 10:46 PM

It's like a trainwreck...so painful but I just can't. stop. watching.

So much bad parenting.

IndianaSigKap 06-16-2011 12:14 AM

Dirty little secret: I looked forward to this all day while I was cleaning my classroom and taking care of miscellaneous tasks at school.

Optimus Prime 06-16-2011 01:45 AM

I'm pretty sure one of these children will end up on the next season of Celebrity Rehab.

Still BLUTANG 06-16-2011 01:39 PM

Eden's mama is my favorite. her optimism (delusion?) amazes & scares me.

at one point she said "i expect it to be awesome"... i mean, seriously? it gets no better.

FSUZeta 06-17-2011 08:25 AM
