Her album is out of print, but you may be able to find some of her MP3s. She's really good -- one of my favorite artists :)

iTunes kinda sucks in a way. I just tried searching for it, and some guy named "Sublime" comes up.

So THAT'S why I couldn't find it.:(

If most of her music is like that, then she's really good.

Enigma is ALWAYS a favorite. Return to Innocence and Sadness are my absolute favorites.

knight_shadow 05-09-2010 05:33 PM

So, it turns out I've had Deborah Jordan's album for a year and never listened to it. I started looking for some of her other songs on YouTube and found a few good ones. I like these:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VWPWNNxSnk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq6cy-32O4Q

They're more downtempo, but still good.

I've been listening and DJing house for about 5 years, its a great style of music!

I'm a huge fan of progressive house aka Deadmau5, Kaskade, Adam K, as well as some mainstream house like David Guetta and Tiesto's "In search of sunrise" albums.

It's not always appropriate for parties, but I love listening to it pretty much everywhere else.

Co-sign!

I rarely hear house when I go out (in DFW) and the places that come close always mix it with trance, which I can't stand.

Blasting it at the house while sitting on the patio is a worthy compromise :D

Solar Sides - Suite 56

Not the version that I'm used to, but still decent.

Deadmau5 is insane! I love his stuff and I am bummed I missed him at Coachella this year. Kaskade really doesn't do it for me, it's too soothing for me...I like just a little more edge. I love MSTRKRFT too.

As for party appropriateness, I guess it depends on where you went to school...at my alma mater electro is currently blowing up and is played up and down the entire row (but mostly the "Big 4": Guetta, MSTRKRFT, Deadmau5 and Kaskade). Then again, I went to school in LA where the scene is really popular in general, what with Hard, EDC, only a couple hours from Coachella, Monster Massive, etc.

Wow, I like her a lot. She reminds me of Sade a little, just more in a "dance" kind of way. I'm downloading everything she has lol. I seriously would love to know what songs you had on your computer that you lost. I mean, I'll bet you had some really great songs from artists that I've never heard of.

Oh, and I just love the song "Better Days". I think I played that one more than 10 times already.:p

Next go around, I will put you guys down with some late 80s early 90s house.
