I'm rushing at University of Arizona (Fall 2008) :)
|
i, too, am going through recruitment at fsu in the fall!
i am so excited, i can't hardly wait ; ) |
I've written a rec for a girl going to University of Georgia. She's a direct legacy of three different sororities (grandmother, mother, sister) and her aunt is a member of another sorority. She's got the whole package, bu we all know how the legacy thing can bite you in the butt, especially at the larger schools. I'm sure I won't get updates, but I'll post when it's over if she got a bid, and where.

Good luck to all the girls and especially to those going through in the SEC. Just enjoy the experience!

To all the potential new sisters going through recruitment, there is so much great advice here on GC, please take it to heart. I hope each of you is able to go through with an open mind and an open heart and find your true "home". You will know, if you read many posts, that so many of us found our home where we least expected it! That's the great part about having an open mind. Believe me, 25 years later, I know I am where I was meant to be (although during the first 2 days of my recruitment, I never would have thought so!) Boy, am I glad I kept my options open and followed my instincts!
Good luck to all and please keep us posted! |

My daughter will be going through recruitment next month at a large Texas university as an incoming freshman. I found this site several months ago and it has been a tremendous help; the recruitment threads have been especially entertaining. I intend to post my daughter's story as well - just haven't decided if I will do so during or after recruitment.

To all of those who will post a recruitment thread,
Please remember to be discrete. Often, from the clues and descriptions you give many of us can figure out the college or university (that's not all bad). With that in mind, it's not a good idea to bash any chapter or use rude terms or generalities that could do you harm. We love your stories, so continue to post them. When naming the thread, try to avoid, "My Fall 2008 Recruitment Thread". Those of us who are addicts of recruitment threads do read them (ok, some of us stay up all night reading them), but they are hard to keep straight if we have a dozen of the same name. Be creative. Some of the better names recently, were: "20something's BRUTALLY HONEST Retro Recruitment Thread", "Chuck Norris's Recruitment Story" (who could forget!), or "Blondie's Retro Rush Story at Southern Private University" Those were very easy to keep straight. And moms....post them too! We have a lot of mothers that keep us updated or write post mortem recruitment stories that are wonderful. Good luck to everyone who is going through recruitment this year. They start in just a couple of weeks! |
I am rushing at my college of choice.:)
Wish me luck..good luck to all of you who are rushing also..hope for the best! |
I just registered for Fall Recruitment 2008 at TU! I couldn't be more excited! :)

Audreylove, you might want to make note of some of the posts cautioning PNMs to protect their identity on GC -- that includes signatures too. :) |
