I hate:

liver (any kind)
raisins cooked in anything
fruit cocktail
curry (the smell gags me)
balogna
any rare meat
any game meats/fish
turnips

I'm sure there are many more...I just can't think of them right now.

APhi Sailorgirl 12-03-2007 02:56 PM

Pumpkin Pie-I wouldn't miss it one bit at Thanksgiving.

Otherwise, I'm pretty good at eating whatever. Mom taught me to just be polite and eat what's served.

add to my list:
liver
bologna (ate it for two years EVERY DAY as a child)
cheese grits
cheese eggs
unsweetened tea
beer

AOIIalum 12-03-2007 04:00 PM

Any and all red meat
Peppers (this includes your normal black pepper for seasoning, too)
Liver
Onions, in any form, raw or cooked, as part of a meal or just on their own. Ugh.
Anything even slightly hot-spicy
Tuna (but I love almost all other types of seafood, especially scallops!)
Bologna, sausage, salami (will eat ham and turkey though)
Tomatoes (but I'll eat ketchup, go figure)
Cucumbers/pickles
Eggs with runny yolks

Can't bear to eat, smell or see: Watermelon, Green Apples, Grapefruit or Pears.

A few more things...
Yellow Mustard -- it's just gross and my brother use to eat handfuls of it when we were kids
Steak of any kind --it always seems dry
American Cheese -- tastes and looks like rubber
Blue Cheese (sorry Earpus) -- it smells rank
Iceburg Lettuce -- no taste
Any sugary cereal -- doesn't mix with milk

I hate nuts in desserts (or anything really) but I don't mind eating them plain. I once knew someone who wouldn't eat anything with cooked fruit (pies, cages, jams, jelly, etc). And I thought I was weird...

I've never seen olives on deviled eggs before. I'd ask if it's a southern thing, but my family has pretty southern roots and, like I said, I've never seen that before. Maybe it's a regional thing. I love olives, but can't imagine that they would be good on deviled eggs.

I've never seen aspic, so I've never had it. Again, maybe it's regional? It looks kinda weird... I'm going to google the recipe when I'm through with this post.
ETA: Hmmm... tomato juice, gelatin, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, sugar and hot pepper sauce? I'm not getting a good vibe about this! What is this dish served with (or is it eaten by itself)?

I would point out that I detest lima beans, but I don't think everyone else loves those.

This thread is really interesting! I can't believe some of you are so picky! :p

I have been mocked most of my life for this one.. but here goes...

I do not like chocolate. I just don't like it. I don't like the smell, and I don't like the taste. Whenever I tell someone for the first time, the announcement is always followed by a gasp of horror.

I am also not a fan of warm fruit, as in desserts that have cooked fruit as part of it. Yes, this means I do not like apple pie or bananas foster, etc.

EEKappa 12-04-2007 11:11 AM

Calamari. Fried, in red sauce, it's always like rubber to me.

Lamb. Unless it's marinated for so long that the heavy, lamb-y taste is covered up.

summer_gphib 12-04-2007 11:44 AM

1. Bananas. I'm allergic, they make my mouth swell and sometimes my eyes swell shut.

2. Bar-b-que sauce. It's too sweet and gross.

3. Seafood. No seafood of any kind, ever. No sushi, no fried catfish, no clams, crabs, lobster. It's all gross.

4. Mustard and pickles. Disgusting!

I think that's it off the top of right now, but I'm sure there are more.:o

ISUKappa 12-04-2007 11:54 AM

About the only foods I really don't like are:

PB&J - I just think it tastes gross
canned peas - traumatic elementary school lunch experience
raw apples - something about the texture and skin

Everything else is fair game.

AlwaysSAI 12-04-2007 01:07 PM

Pie...I hate pie.

It's so disgusting. All the mess all smashed together under a baked crust.

come on...that just sounds gross.

Pickles: Why would anyone want to take a perfectly good cucumber and ruin it?!

Amen to both!

I hate mayonaise and ranch dressing and veggie burgers. The veggie burgers that I had tried are awful.

Oh, good call! Fruit pies are not very appetizing to me either, especially cherry and blueberry. Also, I hate rhubarb, which was unfortunate because we had an enormous rhubarb plant that my dad would make things with. Crepes, pie, ice cream topping,etc... Bleccch!
