I just had a feeling it was! So many of our chapters are described as "laid back" or genuine.

Congratulations on your bid to Kappa Alpha Theta!

Peppy, I just knew Lime was us, too.

Congrats on Theta! They are a fabulous house. I'd love to know what the other houses were. I almost transferred to IU and loved the DGs I met there.

Congrats, this thread is a perfect example of how girls can benefit from keping an open mind throughout recruitment.

Agreed! It's especially great because it shows how a PNM with an open mind can end up with two (or more) equal or nearly equal choices after preference. Being ready and willing to enjoy getting a bid from more than one chapter is a plus when it happens.

abelle, best wishes to you; here's hoping your Theta experience brings, as you mentioned, "everything I am looking for from academics to philanthropy to goofiness."

Since the Beta chapter of Theta at IU (founded in 1870 just a few months after Theta's founding) is actually one of the world's oldest chapters of a fraternity for women, there ought to be plenty of traditions supporting anything "academic," "philanthropic," or "goofy."

Have a blast.

Wooohoooo! Congratulations to you and Kappa Alpha Theta! They have an amazing house in the best location and the chapter is awesome. :)
