I'm pretty sure his contract is up at the end of the year, so he was a lame duck anyway - so they won't even have to do it, if they wait til the end of the year. Should be hilarious, either way.

Hope you found the game. Versus is a national cable network. It used to be called The Outdoor Life Network, but changed it's name a few months ago.

We aren't affilliated with them exactly, but their master control point is in the same building we are.

We originated a short halftime report for the game (UNLV is one of our Mountain West schools), which must have been a great one from what I heard.

The cable/satellite carriage of these game is likely to get worse before it gets better. Fans really do need to gang up on their cable/satellite providers because the conferences are going ahead with more of them.

I did get the game, it was great to watch and I was happy I got it. I think I've only gotten four Badger games since I moved out of Wisconsin. It was nice to be able to actually see the game instead of sitting on my deck with an AM radio. :)

You'll be able to see a lot more if you subscribe to one of the satellite services and Big Ten Network or get your local cable company to pick up the network.

(Although last night's game was on Versus because of our deal with the Mountain West Conference, so, you're welcome)

You'll also see a lot more Wisconsin basketball games and some of what they're now calling the "Olympic sports."

It's going to be good for some and bad for others until this thing gets sorted out.

Yeah, the problem is I get free cable at my apartment complex, so I really don't feel like paying for Dish or Direct. :) I call and write Comcast every week begging for the Big 10 but I'm not entirely hopeful that'll pay off.

Thanks. We've actually played a great team in VT. Who has USC played?

the polls mean little to me at this point. It will be fun to see how it all plays out in the end.

Well, next week they'll have played at #14 Nebraska... And as anyone in the know will tell you, no game in Lincoln is a trivial matter.

Nebraska ain't what it used to be.

Callahan is no Osborne.

And the fans are well aware of the fact that Callahan is not Osborne. His contract was extended last week. One of the local TV stations had a poll asking if his contracted should have been extended - almost 60% said no.

I'm not a Nebraska fan, nor will I be in the state next week when the USC - Nebraska game happens. My team is 0-2 and after Saturday - it's defintely going to be a long season. Thank God for tailgating before the game.

GP - our game against Iowa is on the Versus network this coming Saturday - so if I didn't have tickets I'd probably be figuring out how I was going to watch it. Though I'm assuming the sports bar down the street has it - they're one of the gamewatch locations for Omaha.

Well, we have Solich now -- and he's done very well for us. Our football program was a trainwreck for many years. We went to a bowl (although a minor one) last year for the first time since 1968.

I'd advise checking with your local sports bar now, so in case they don't get Versus, you can find one that does.

Good luck.

I really can't blame them. The guy's a classless clown. His hillbilly comments and his general lack of respect for his own program and others just don't belong at Nebraska.

It seems though that Pederson pretty much tied his own fate to that of Callahan.

Michigan Quarterback Chad Henne Will Miss Notre Dame Game

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -Injured Michigan quarterback Chad Henne will not play against Notre Dame.
Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr did not provide a timetable for Henne's return, listing him Monday as week-to-week. The senior was knocked out of the second half of Saturday's 39-7 loss to Oregon. Freshman Ryan Mallett will start against the Fighting Irish on Saturday at home in a matchup of storied teams with 0-2 records.

The Big Ten is down this year. Minnesota needed OT to beat Miami

But at least Michigan has been punked twice....so maybe things ain't that bad.

Hmm. Maybe we'll be passing the ball more instead of running it? Cuz maybe this guy can actually GET a ball to a Michigan player, not our opponent.

Miami, FL? Miami, OH?

I thought Oklahoma (OU) played Miami.
