I think the craziest thing was the fact that Lisa was the only one who was wearing a seat belt.

How do you know? Were you in the truck?

I would be interested in seeing what VH1 has to say about this documentary and why they choose to do it.

From my understanding, this was not originally done by VH1 but rather another filmmaker. I do know that the documentary aired in Atlanta at the Atlanta Film Festival this past April on opening night. I'm still not sure of its purpose or why they decided to do it 5 years after her death. It's just a little unsettling as far as timing and overall content of the documentary itself. As others has said, it seems a bit too perfectly executed.

Did Lisa look increasingly distressed in the final scenes in the SUV? To me, it seemed as if she had a strange look in the eye and written on her face, as if she knew or felt something.

Now, it could just be ME reading too much into it or looking for something that isn't there, but considering her premonitions, I'm just wondering if she knew that her "time" was upon her.

ai had 2 comment because ai am a film/video production major...analyzing movies and the like intrigue mai third ai for reasons beyond mai control...remember the part about her dream...it was after the little boy's funeral...she stated that she had premonitions...there were too many people around her that probably did not believe in all that she stood for...if you walk by faith and not by sight you will be able 2 read deeper n2 the edited version of her movie and see the message she is trying 2 tell us directly or indirectly...

Is "mai" supposed to be the same as "my" and "ai" the same as "I"?:confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused:

Hey, ladies, sorry for the crash, but as it's the 6th anniversary of Lisa's passing, I was looking for old threads about her. I'm about to watch this documentary again and was intrigued by the thread. I know it's old, but some things piqued my interest (before Arizona ruined it ).

I happened to be in Atlanta the day this aired at the film festival (one year ago, today, actually). It had already been shown at several festivals at the time, but for the 5th anniversary, the family wanted to bring it to Atlanta, the place she called "home." And the film was attended by Lisa's brother and sister (Ronald and Raina) and I was blessed enough to get to meet them afterward and talk to them. I just wanted to say that the speculation about suicide is definitely not true. The people in the car said she swerved to avoid something on the road, but no one saw exactly what it was. She wouldn't have tried to take her own life at the expense of all her friends who were in the car. The family actually has a pending lawsuit against Mitsubishi because, at that speed, the car never should have flipped over. And yes, that actually was the end footage just before the crash; it was not raining and there was no storm. The whole thing was edited by a filmaker in conjunction with her family. Her mother, brother, and sister approved everything before it was shown and agreed to show the last bit rather than edit it out.

Again, please excuse the crash.:) I just couldn't help but notice the things I know weren't true (there's more I saw, the stuff about her childhood and why the house burned, etc.) and wanted to say something, especially today. Ron (her brother) set so much straight when the crowd asked questions and when I talked to him, I just wanted to speak up, hope you don't mind the resurface.
